In my family room I had drapes that close over the patio door
and a huge swag

we are thinking of just putting the swag back up
which will llet a LOT of light into the room
we never closed the drapes anyway
our back looks out into woods, no houses or anything

that is tomorrow nights project, after tutoring and a varsity swim meet

and perhaps the baking of the birthday cake for DD10's sleepover party....

I have never been on a cruise, and you video of the deck helps me see how HUGE it is!

I think you are going to hate Wednesdays this semester.......long day and early morning on Thursdays. Of course, when I was your age, I didn't love to sleep as much as I do now!

I hope they have some bags left today, I really want to get a second one!

You really need to go on a cruise! It was amazing, seriously the best vacation we have ever been on!

I'm really hoping that my last class doesn't go all the way till 9, the professor usually lets you out early when the class is that long. I sleep, I became the ultimate napper last semester so I'm really hoping I can fit a few in this semester

DD has her winter semester (philosophy) final tomorrow. Three weeks and the class is over! She starts the spring semester next Friday.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for DD10 (her actual B-day is Wednesday).

The party was a hit, with one "little" glitch...

one of the little girls got her thumb pinched in the door (on the rink, where the hockey players go for penalty). Crushed is a better description. It looked horrible, and she was in a lot of pain. I had tylenol (grape, easy melt, no water needed) in the van, which I gave her, but the "rink nurse" thought it might be broken or dislocated, so we had to call her mom to come get her and take her to the ER.

It will be a memorable party, for sure!

The girls stayed up really late, with DD13 as chaperone/game enthusiast.

I had to wake everyone for breakfast at 9:30 since pick up was at ten!

Today we had Empire carpet
perhaps you have heard of them
(in home consultation, next day installation)

come to the house

and we picked out carpeting and put down a deposit
they can install next day (not sunday)
but we can't really have them do it until Saturday

so this saturday we are getting new carpet!!!!!!!!

The DD's are at a snow tubing party
and I have caught up on Grey's Anatomy!

DH bought me a whole pack of "picture hangers"
and I have had a fun evening putting them places

DH is in the man cave watching a game

do you think he will notice how "handy" I have been in his absence????

After the carpet guy left
DH and I went shopping and got new bath rugs...
and manly stuff like bolt cutters

and I think after the carpeting
the house will be good as new
infact, better!
