Please say a prayer for a teacher friend....

was in a car accident awhile ago, hurt neck (like 2 years ago)
not a bad accident, but she was having trouble with neck

had surgery on the nerves in neck beginning of January,
went home.....
had a blood clot


feeling worse and worse, still lots of pain
some paralysis in face


went for MRI Friday
taken by ambulance to hospital

on many pain meds
now addicted to pain meds


and the Dr. did the surgery on the WRONG side!!!!!!!!
she is having another surgery tomorrow to correct the problem


things just go from bad to worse for her
and she is not in good shape, mentally or physically right now

Good luck Snow! The second semester of my first year was the most stressful.

and later always says "that wasn't too bad"

Good evening, on this snowy Thursday.

Cold, cold, cold, too! (that is shivering!)

DH and I have started to "get ready" for carpet
meaning moving breakable stuff out of the rooms to be done

they will move the furniture
but we have to get it down to bare bones


I am learning we have a LOT of "stuff"

Tonight DD10 started "cheer" training

she wants to try out for cheering
so she is going to attend a weekly class
that practices cheers, arm movements, jumps....

practice is needed....
she is awkward with the moves right now


she hated cheering when she did it in second grade
(and I was secretly when she didn't want to do it again)
but times change
she thinks she might like it again

you have to try out and be picked for the elitist squad (not a good cheer mom here)
so she may not make it, lots don't

I am so sorry to hear about this! Lots of prayers being said!
How did the second surgery go?

Unfortunately, these errors still occur. Many hospitals make the patient mark the correct side and part of the body with a marker so that no such errors can be made.

Unfortunately, these errors still occur. Many hospitals make the patient mark the correct side and part of the body with a marker so that no such errors can be made.

The second surgery is not without complications, her vocal cords are damaged and allowing food and drink to enter her lungs, so she is not allowed to eat and is on oxygen. She is being transferred to another hospital on Monday which is supposed to have a treatment center for vocal cords.

She will need to be on our prayer lists for awhile.

Today is new carpet day...
they have been working all day and are still here (6:30)
the family room is done and looks awesome!
they are upstairs now, and then have to restretch the living room and basement.

I love the new carpet, it is so soft and the color is similar to what I had, but with a fleck in it, very pretty. It is called candlellight

We had a lenghty swim meet today, too.
A tri-meet, against two other teams.

WE didn't win, but the Was40 kids did very well, so no sob stories here.

We have been without house phone and internet and tv all day
while they worked on the carpeting, so I am way behind!

It is ridiculously cold in PA
nineteen right now

it was nine this morning........shiver!

DS's truck is in the garage, bent frame...
and a few other complications

might be finished Wednesday....
