DVC means I can waste hours per day on these boards instead of having to do icky work work at work enjoying fun things like smoking/non-smoking/roomsize/long hallway debates and how evil it is to try to coerce the price of rentals to $12/day and how stingy DVC is with towels (excepting pool towels, even if they are delivered before the roosters crow) and endless (though not recent unless I missed it) debates on how much to tip whom and occasionally it means I can go with friends and family and have fun with them at WDW and I used to be able to laugh at them in Alien Encounter, but now won't be able to because that idiot Eisner really should have built it in MGM instead of the MK and now it has to go 'cuz it's not kid friendly enough even though my first time there we got to watch a little girl of about 7 laughing hysterically at her older brother (about 12) who was screaming and crying his head off and I still like going even if they carrousel of progress has been closed every year since 98 when we went.
