The agency that we were working with is Timeshare Resales USA.
If agent I was working with is the President of that company.

Sellers, DO NOT list with this agent - buyers, DO NOT even begin communicating with this agent.

You will waste your time!

For anyone following.....

We have found the PERFECT contract - made an offer gladly accepted the counter offer and signed and sent back our paperwork last night!

We are getting a lot more points for not a lot more $$$$$.

The price per point is lower, so we could afford to buy a larger contract.

My advice to anyone who is looking to buy resale - offer below the asking, you never know how motivated the seller is to get out from under the financial liability of timeshare/vacation club ownership - or perhaps they just don't care to vacation the way they used to.

Regardless of what the seller's situation is on our contract, we are so happy that we found out the real deal with the first company/agent we were working with when we did.

We are working with a far more reputable broker, and they went ABOVE and BEYOND to find the right contract for us.

SO - if it doesn't feel right - don't do it! We didn't - and are definitely glad we didn't - because the 'perfect' contract came along!

NOW - let's just hope we make it through ROFR!!!!!

The agency has a C rating with the Better Business Bureau for various different types of complaints - and they have one more complaint against them now - from us!

With the unethical and unprofessional service we received from the agency, from the President of the agency no less - I would not suggest or recommend that anyone use the agency for any resale purchase - DVC or not.

Stay away - FAR away!
There are far better agencies, and far better agents - and we have experienced that first-hand!

HAHA - Small world! So you are the lousy no good %$&*^$ that bought!!!



I'm totally kidding!

But we did indeed look at that contract!

We were going to buy a much smaller contract (50-85 points) - but then when we got to figuring out how we would like to use the contract - we instantly jumped up to around 200 points.

BTW - do you remember what your closing costs were?

We just found out this evening that we passed ROFR this morning!!!!!!

We are so excited - we have a closing date of April 29th - which seems like F.O.R.E.V.E.R!

But, at least we passed!!!!!! YIPEEE!!

Despite the horrible experience with Timeshare Resales USA - we found an agent at another company that would work FOR us - not against us - they went above and beyond to find ALL of the contracts that fit what we were looking for - we settled on one - we offered - they countered well within the range that we were looking to pay - we accepted - we signed - they signed - it went to Disney - AND.... NOW IT'S BACK!!!!!!

We are well on our way to ownership at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort!!!!!

We are so excited!

Thanks for the advice everyone! We ended up with an agent that we like, a contract that we like at a price that we LOVE!!!!
