i just got back from Sacramento, California where my mom got married this past weekend. And my mom kept on telling me to try the burgers and fries at In-N-Out Burger and so I did. And all i have to say is what an amazing change from Burger King, McDonalds, and Wendy's! lol..i loved it. The fries were excellent! :thumbsup2 Just had to share this with the DIS :) I also went to San Francisco and took a lot of pictures and when I have the chance, I'll post them on a new thread on the CB. :goodvibes

I agree. DH's family and I took a trip out to Arizona last year, and my sole request for the trip was that we visit In-N-Out burger. Had heard sooo much about it from my west coast friends, and I was not disappointed. If we ever make it out there again, would love to visit!

I love, love, love the cheeseburgers and shakes. The grilled buns are to die for. We still go to McD's for fries when we get In-n-Out though. In-n-Out fries have a funky texture and always seem like they could use a couple more minutes in that fryer.

love that place...even bought the tee shirt

We ate there when we were in LA in March. DD17 absolutely LOVED her hamburger and shake and she doesn't eat fast food hamburgers too often. I even "broke my diet" (had my gallbladder out and can't eat high fat foods anymore) to give it a try. Pretty darn good!

I was just telling someone I know in CA that In-n-Out Burger looked wicked good. :goodvibes I also know someone in a graduate business program whose class just studied their rise to success, quite a story, I guess.

In July, my family went to the In-N-Out Burger just outside Universal Studios. I watched them hand-make the fries from fresh potatoes with a specail slicer. :thumbsup2

I miss In N Out Burger. My DH and I went there all the time when we lived in CA. Whenever we get back there, it will be on the menu many times!

The BEST burgers. I don't even get fries. I would rather have room for more burger there!

I've heard alot of good things about In-N-Out Burger, but did not make it there my 2 trips to Cali.

If anyone ever makes it to Long Island, NY, you MUST try All American located on Merrick Road (rt. 27), Massapequa. It's an old style burger joint where you go in, order your food, and eat in your car or at the little tables outside. It's been there since the 1960's. You could picture the girls coming to your car and taking your order on roller skates (although this never happened). They make their own fries there, and they are the best. It's a landmark on Long Island.

Love In-N-Out! We had to stop there while we were in Vegas over the weekend, DH spent ten minutes taking pictures of the sign for DS who also wanted a t-shirt badly! :teeth:

ITA!!!! No trip back to Long Island is complete without All American cheeseburgers. We frequently get them and then drive down to Jones Beach. DH grew up in Massapequa-he and his friends would all ride the bike path through the preserve, stop at All American then continue down Merrick Road to Cedar Creek and then the beach, so that's ingrained.

I'm getting to Cali before another trip to LI, so it sounds like we'll be having some In and Out Burger. :thumbsup2

I think they need to move to the midwest.
Me too! I don't even know if I like them! :rotfl: I believe they are only in CA, NV and AZ. I saw one from the highway in Phoenix and I should have made DH turn around. I really really want to try this place.

I LOVE In-N-Out. We had them all over in Vegas, and they were ALWAYS packed. Drive-thru line was always huge. They are really good. And their chocolate shakes are really whippy and good too.

We moved to VA and they don't have In-n-out here, but they do have another place I had never tried--Five Guys! I love that place too!

My west coast friends always rave about them so if I ever get out there, I'll be sure to stop!

Why are they so great? I've heard about them for years and never had a chance to give them a shot. Are they like Steak n' Shake?

If they would franchise in Texas myself and some friends would get one in a second.

My fave - In-N-Out Burger off W. Tropicana in Vegas Hmmmm Burgerrrr:tongue:.

I have heard that that location is the busiest of all the In-N-Outs. Before we had them in Vegas, used to drive to Barstow, CA (nearly 2 hours away) just to go to In-N-Out!
