In-N-Out Burger

We first fell in love  with In-N-Out when we lived in Las Vegas over a decade ago!!
It saddend me to have to move away from them a year later when we moved back to Chicago.
Buy now we make it a point to visit In-N-Out as much as possible when visting family in NV and CA!!!!

Not really the same type of burger (fast food vs. dine-in), but my favorite TX burger is a Chester's Burger. Unfortunately, I don't even have one of those near me anymore.

OMG! I loved In and Out  !!!!! I went to DL last year and spent 6 nights, I ate there 3x. I have to admit though, I hope they don't come East, I hate to think what my wieght would balloon to

ITA!!!! No trip back to Long Island is complete without All American cheeseburgers. We frequently get them and then drive down to Jones Beach. DH grew up in Massapequa-he and his friends would all ride the bike path through the preserve, stop at All American then continue down Merrick Road to Cedar Creek and then the beach, so that's ingrained.

I'm getting to Cali before another trip to LI, so it sounds like we'll be having some In and Out Burger. :thumbsup2

Suzanne

Suzanne, I believe you must be referring to the Croon's Lake Preserve? I grew up in Massapequa too. There's nothing like All American. BTW, did you know the Carvel next to AA is now a "Marshall's" ice cream? It stinks. I could not believe they sold it. But, then again, after an AA shake, who needs Carvel!!!

Smokey,

I lived for Carvel! We finally have one nearby

Thanks to the poster who linked to the In and Out Menu-I'm picking my meals for next month, lol! I love a good fresh burger.

Guess I know where I am going for dinner tonight. :teeth: I'll make sure to eat a burger for all of you who can't go... :cool1:

I had sent In-N-Out an email asking about franchising and putting a store in Texas. Here is what thay sent me back:
Dear Mr. Ronald Rowe:

Thank you for your e-mail and for your consideration.

Thank you, too, for your interest in opening a location in Texas. In response, In-N-Out Burger® is not a franchised company. We have been family owned and operated since our inception over 50 years ago.

At this time, we have no plans to change this organizational structure. However, we are happy to share your interest with our Real Estate Department. We know they will consider it as we develop our future expansion plans.

We plan on expanding as far as we can, and particularly into areas in which our customers have expressed interest. As such, we are happy to let our Real Estate Department know that you are anxious to have an In-N-Out Burger® in your area!
Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.

Sincerely,

Sharon Darwin
Customer Service Representative

I'm sure it's the same thing anyone gets when asking about stores in other states. I wonder though; if I get enough names a-la petition would they consider it even more so? It would definitely be worth trying.

It's still breakfast time and I am craving a hamburger. We don't have In-N-Out Burgers here. But that's no surprise we don't have DQ either. I keep seeing commercials for blizzards that look so good. :confused3

All I had to see what the name In and Out and I have the craving. DH and I lived in San Diego for 6 years and ate the monster style burger almost weekly! I miss it soooooo much! We are planning a trip to DL next year and seriously have a plan to hit the first one we see as we get into CA.

NOoooooooo, there nothing like Steak N' Shake, they are sooooo much better!!
(in reference to In-N-Out versus Steak And Shake.)

I just had to re-iterate that. In-N-Out, everything tastes so fresh and crisp. You watch them turn a potato into fries after you order them. The lettuce, the tomatoes, the onions are the freshest I've ever had in fast food. It's amazing how different these burgers are from any other.

Now, In-N-Out does have a pretty limited menu, burgers with or without cheese, fries, shakes and drinks. Thye do what they do and they do it right.

After seeing the secret menu and knowing it's been 6 years since I've been near an In-N-Out, I guess they do offer meatless burgers, bunless burgers and grilled cheese, which makes sense, in that they mostly are taking what they already have/know how to do and making some special requests.

Now I want a burger for breakfast...*sigh*

all this talking about in-n-out burger is making me have a really bad craving for an in-n-out burger right now :goodvibes too bad i have to travel 3,000 or so miles to get one lol :)

Welcome to TX! I have never had the pleasure of trying an In-N-Out burger, but I feel like I am really missing out on something. In TX, my favorite fast food burger is Culver's.

Just last night I read this story in the latest Automobile magazine: The writer had an itch for In-N-Out so he grabbed the keys to a new Corvette Z06, picked up a buddy and drove to the nearest In-N-Out. Which was 2000 miles away. They drove 36 hours straight, ate, turned around and drove back to Ann Arbor.

And got paid to write the story of course!

i just got back from Sacramento, California where my mom got married this past weekend. And my mom kept on telling me to try the burgers and fries at In-N-Out Burger and so I did. And all i have to say is what an amazing change from Burger King, McDonalds, and Wendy's! lol..i loved it. The fries were excellent! :thumbsup2 Just had to share this with the DIS :) I also went to San Francisco and took a lot of pictures and when I have the chance, I'll post them on a new thread on the CB. :goodvibes

You should have tried Del Taco too while you were out there, you would never eat at Taco Bell again. :)
