Rich has been a contributor to this forum since it began and has affected many of us on the site in a variety of ways. In his honor, the DIS DVC Board will go dark for one hour on Sunday, September 12, 2004 from 2:00pm-3:00pm EDT.<br />

What a really nice idea that is! Thanks, WebmasterDoc::yes:: I will be sure to think about Rich, his family and our Disboard family during that time:hug:

Doc,

This is absolutely the perfect tribute to Rich.

I can't quite put it into words, but it just strikes me as the "right" memorial.

I'll be sure to keep Rich in my thoughts on Sunday.

Great Idea Doc....Thanks to all the Webmasters for honoring Rich...

what a fitting tribute for someone that contributed so much to the DVC board.

An honor for a man that is well deserved... well done DOC! and thanks...

A part of the light on our DVC Board has indeed gone dark with his passing, and your memorial hour of darkness is a fitting tribute to him.

What a great picture of Rich, Lisa and Jaqui. I hope that WDW and DVC continue to bring smiles to Lisa and Jaqui's faces when they visit. Thank you for the special tribute to Rich.

A very nice way to honor Rich's memory and his contributions to our DIS boards. Thanks.

I just saw this "after the fact". Rich was certainly a long-time member of the DVC Board and it's very nice that the DIS is recognizing his passing. He'll be missed but I'm sure we'll continue to hear "his voice" on certain topics.

I also saw this after the fact, and reading all these posts about Rich made me think of these lines:

A presence here is silent,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place on these boards is empty,
That never can be filled.

We will all miss Rich, but never forget him.

I'm after the fact also. Condolences to his family. What a nice tribute to him.

May I ask what happened? Was Rich sick?
