FREE Disney Dining Plan—New Fall Dates Just Added! Purchase a 5-night/6-day room and ticket package and enjoy most of your meals for FREE. That's a savings of $689 for a family of 4 at select Disney Moderate Resorts. For arrival dates from 8/15-10/7/10, 10/22-10/28/10, 11/12-11/18/10, 11/27-12/2/10, and 12/10-12/21/10.

Its on the resort area of the board. My TA contacted me around 11am today letting me know she had changed our discount to the free dining instead of the 35% off pin we had.

I am SO glad we got our ADRs in advance for our trip. We were afraid this was going to happen. When they have free dining, it is really hard to get into our favorite restaurants.

doing the happy dance changed my dates by one day and saved $1300

Doing the PO'd dance

We're going Nov 1-7 AKA Jersey week and it's not included.

Will be at WDW Nov 7-12 and wasn't going to take advantage of free dining even if it is offered (staying on DVC points) but I was curious why the time period of our visit is excluded from free dining. Is that a popular time (holiday for schools in another part of the country?) so they don't need to offer free dining? We live in Texas and we don't have school holidays at that time so I was hoping we would avoid crowds going Nov 7-12. Someone in a previous post mentions "Jersey Week" being the week before our visit.

That's because its also the Food and Wine Festival that week, the reason I'll be there. Didn't realize at my 11 month DVC window that it is also "Jersey Week".

The Food and Wine Festival is from October 1-November 14, 2010 so that might explain part of the reason for no free dining the week of Nov 7-12 - its also Veteran's Day that week. I wish now that I had booked Nov 7-14 instead of the week prior.

Totally missed that Veterans Day is that Thursday! But it makes sense. Guess I was so used to having it as a Monday holiday. Well, hopefully the crowds will be better than our last 2 visits which were in July and the week of Thanksgiving.

Does the ticket portion of the package have to be a 5 or 6 day ticket? Or will a 1-day ticket work?

I have been hearing this time its a 2 or more day ticket needed. (When we had APs we would buy the 1 day ticket but it seems that has changed.)

Not to hijack but I do have a question. Every time we end up going during the first week of Dec. Now that is is excluded we are going to try for the week of Dec 13. As far as crowds go how is that week...possible compared to the 1st week of Dec (Pop Warner week)?

We love to go at this time, its been quieter at the parks/ resorts. We have never gone during Pop Warner, I try to avoid it. Have a great trip!

Someone at work told me about it this morning, and I had DH call Disney right away. We had already booked POFQ from 12/1 - 12/8 and had purchased the dining plan. We won't get our original room discount now, but free dining saves us a lot more money!!!! :cool1: Now if the airfares would just come down. :rotfl:
