In and Out in a Day

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful that each of you have become a part of my life!!:goodvibes

Nan ~ I am throughly enjoying your updates and pictures on FB. Have a great time!!!

I totally agree with everyone - I am so very thankful for all of you and the great friendships I have found with you all. Sometimes the best part of my day is when I am here with you. Thanks!!

I sure hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. We sure did. I was off work from last Tuesday till today. I really needed that time away to recharge. And that I did. I throughly enjoyed my 5 days at home. The house is all decorated and after the game on Saturday - GO BIG RED which we won and will now play for the BIG10 Championship - Doug and I got our outside lights and decorations up. Feels good to have that job finished.

Today it is SNOWING :crazy2: YEP snowing. Big fluffy flakes, the lawn and roofs are covered. It's begining to look a bit like Christmas. I love snow from now until January 1 - then it can go back to 70 degrees.

WFDT ~ Homemade noodles and Turkey over mashed potatoes.

Make it a great day!!

Happy Thanksgiving, lovelies! :lovestruc

I miss y'all!!!!!

Ellen - Enjoy that snow, I would!!!!:cloud9:

We got our Christmas decorations up over the weekend. Kinda sad, this Christmas is going to be very lean around here. The economy has caused so many financial challenges for us we'll need to save every extra $ for Kyle's senior year expenses and our Disney trips (which I refuse to give up). We'll starve before I resort to that!

I hear ya sweetie. College is EXPENSIVE!!! Matthew will be graduating in May and to be truthful I can't wait. ;) The only difference is I don't even have WDW to look forward to. Good for you for not giving up the trips. Someday we will be back - someday.

Busy day today - Payroll and bills so I thought I would check in early and fast.

WFDT ~ Hamburgers, sweet potato fries and cranberry salad. (Are we posting dinner here or not? I never know if I am suppose to post it or not :rotfl2:)

Make it a great day all!!

Hey, everyone! I didn't get on a lot over the Thanksgiving holiday. We had family here, and every minute was crammed with things to do! It was great fun to have my brother and his family staying with us. My dad stayed with my sister.

I did get some Black Friday shopping done (technically, grey Thursday shopping, as I was home and in bed by midnight on Thanksgiving night!). I made a dent in my Christmas list.

Today is Timmy's 4th birthday! I can't believe how the time has flown. He's such a little man, now! Excited to be 4, and can't wait to open his presents. Dinner tonight will be tacos, at his request!

I get bumped so much on the iPod I'm going to do a couple of smaller ones. Our computer is fixed but it had a nasty virus I'm nervous to go online with it.
Glynis- cant believe he is four! Good choice on the tacos.

Ellen- I never know what's for dinner anymore until last minute, I wouldn't even know what to post!

Kathy- we are definely having a lean Christmas this year. We recently moved home after a major seven month remodel of our house. I am so done with spending money for a while! I'm actually looking toward to a scaled back Christmas after packing up our entire house and then unpacking it- we don't need any more stuff! We skipped Disney this year but I don't think we will do that again!

Yes, please post wfd! Shame on me, I keep forgetting...Grilling steaks tonight with baked potatoes and lemon/parm broccoli.

Wow, can't believe he's 4!!! Happy Birthday to Timmy!!!:bday:party::cake:

But you have a newly remodeled house!! Pics, please!!!

Hi everyone! I haven't checked in for a bit.

Work has been up and down and some days I feel like it is one step forward, two steps back. But I'm managing and coping with the workload. Counting down to Christmas and then we'll see what happens in the new year.

Christmas is slowly taking shape here and I really need to finish off the decorations around the house. I emptied out the presents cupboard and I suspect that I have nearly enough to go round this year. About the only ones to get presents for will be DH and DS.

Oh....and tomorrow is my wedding anniversary. I think we're up 26 years...where did that time go?

PIO - Happy Anniversary!!

WFD - Ham and cheese frittata, black pepper maple bacon, hash browns and wheat biscuits. bbl....

Morning, all! Things are going well here. We celebrated Timmy's birthday, last night, and it was so cute! I posted a video of him "blowing" out the candles on facebook.

Today, I'm doing laundry, and sorting through Christmas presents. Now that Timmy's birthday is over, we can set up the tree and decorate the house. Gotta get Jacob up into the attic to get down the boxes of decorations, and turn the kids loose!

Alan and I are going to a wedding tonight. Not one that we are particularly thrilled about. Alan's best friend's daughter (19) ran away from home about 2 months ago and took up residence in a homeless shelter. While there, she met a 21 year old boy, and they shacked up. She brought him home, announcing their engagement. Bryce and Peggy were not thrilled about it, but tried to make the best of it. Bryce got him a job where he works, and put him and Laura up at their house. Not an ideal situation, but they are trying not to alienate their daughter any more. Just before Thanksgiving, they announced that they were moving their wedding up from March to now! So, we are going to support Bryce and Peggy, not because we approve of this wedding. Sigh! It's going to be a hard night.

Dinner will be whatever Katie can throw together for the little kids.

Glynis ~ I can't believe Timmy is 4 already. Where did the time go?
I love that you don't decorate till after his birthday. Our Stephanie was born on the 17th (she was 6 weeks early) and I vowed that day that she WOULD still have a birthday. We did decorate but we never put presents under the tree till the night of her birthday. After her presents were opened and cake eaten, her and Elizabeth would pile the Christmas presents under the tree. Now we have Matthew on the 10th (we didn't plan well did we?), Marty Stephanie's DH on the 16th and our new baby Liam who will be 1 on the 4th. So we have many December birthdays. :thumbsup2

You are a good friend, for showing your support. Even though it will be hard who knows it just might work. Doug and I married at barely 18, I am sure there were a few who thought we wouldn't make it and we are 35 years strong.

Robin ~ Oh how fun Christmas will be at your new house. I would love to see some pictures. What a mess, but now that it is over and you are in I bet you are thrilled.

PIO ~ Happy Anniversary :goodvibes

Kat ~ Hi my friend. Thanks for letting me know. I didn't want to keep posting it, if I wasn't suppose to.

Cold burrrrr day. As I was coming into work this morning, my car said it was 9degrees outside. That is cold for this time of the year. But it is now up to almost 40, so that's not too bad.

WFDT ~ Hot beef sandwiches and hot coffee at our favorite place before bells and choir tonight.

Make it a great day!!

Glynis - I hope it went well last night and I agree with Ellen, you are a good friend!

We finally have some cold weather! Was hoping it would stick around through the weekend so I could make a big pot of soup but NOOOOOOO, it's going to be close to 80°.:sad2:

WFD - Ranch chicken (if I'm not mistaken this was Robin's recipe), egg noodles and a salad.

Glynis- I was 19 when I got married and our 13th anniversary is coming up. Of course we were together 2 years before we got married not two months. I'm sure people thought it wouldn't work but I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Kathy we like the ranch chicken with leftover rotisserie chicken. We would love 80 degrees it's cold here and we haven't adjusted to it yet.

Kath and Ellen- the house was quite a process, but so much fun and so worth it. We went from a one floor ranch to a two floor cape. We doubled our square footage and better yet, everything works! It never gets old coming home and I never want to leave the house. I haven't put the newest pictures on the computer yet but when I do I'll pm you pictures- not comfortable posting them directly here.

Morning Girls,

Robin ~ I can't wait for the pictures. When you say you got a new house - you really did. Wow!! Sounds great.

Kat ~ 80 degrees (how do you get that little degree mark?).....that is warm. I love living in Nebraska for 2 big reasons. 1) I love the openess, the sun rises and sunsets are beautiful. And looking out and seeing the horizon is so neat. 2) I love the 4 seasons. My parents lived in Vegas for years. I remember laying out by the pool on Christmas Eve listening to Christmas music - that is just so wrong. :rotfl2:

I got my office all Christmasy this morning. It looks so nice. Last night we stayed after choir to help the Committee put the BIG tree up in the Sanctuary. It is just beautiful - 20 foot. We put Christian Crismons on it with white lights. I just love it.

4 years ago today Stephanie and Marty were married. I can't believe it has been 4 years already. She really want a Christmas wedding, but I vetoed that real fast. With 3 Birthdays and now 4 this close to Christmas that was a bit much. So this was as close as she could get. The Church was all decorated as was the reception hall for Christmas. I do have to admit it was beautiful.

WFDT ~ Buffalo sausage, Eggs and toast. Breakfast for dinner - I can't wait.

Make it a great day.

Our Stephanie was born on the 17th (she was 6 weeks early)

That's a very good birthday to have in my opinion. :thumbsup2 It's mine too.

Going to be a busy next month. Oy! It has been made a tiny bit better since the football coach decided to have the banquet in January instead of December. :cheer2: Gives me more time to make things for it. Last year we made jerseys out of poster board for the senior players with their names and numbers on them. This year I decided I would do the same but also add helmets for the rest of the varsity team and footballs for the JV team. I have a Cri-Cut that I use and will cut out most of the stuff using that then will just have to glue things together.

I also have quilts to make, a pillow my DN has been pestering me to make, a swim meet for my oldest DN, goodness only knows how many Track meets for the middle godson, (haven't gotten the schedule yet but the 1st one is this weekend), a couple of work related parties, baking, shopping, hoping to get to Zoolights at the DC zoo, and, sing along now, a partridge in a pear tree. :rotfl:

I have scheduled a massage during the weekend before my birthday. :thumbsup2
