In a Red Lobster in Cary...

Hi!
Another neighbor from Holly Springs here! It's nice to know there are people living near me that love Disney as much as I do. I've seen the mini once, in Crossroads.....
Kristina :)

This sounds fun, could I join in. Not in the triangle, but about 60 miles east and willing to travel :).

Neighbor here too, EXCEPT... I am only a Disney novice. We are driving down in December. I'd love to get planning tips from experienced Disney goers!

Heck everyone is welcome to attend this meet that has no location, no time frame and no plan. Anybody have any ideas about how to do this?:confused3

Hey everyone,

I have an idea for the NC Dis Meet...

The Movies by Moonlight program at Koka Booth in Cary is showing "Up" on August 4 at 7 pm. Children under 12 get in free and adults are $3. Food, lawn chairs, etc can be brought in. I know it is a Thursday night, but it seems like a good place to meet as the kiddos can come along and enjoy the movie while the adults get to know each other.

What do you guys think?

Great idea! How would we find each other? Mickey ears? We should also think about doing a collection for the dis give kids the world fundraiser (check the disunplugged board if you want more info)

This is a great idea but sadly :cool1::rotfl2::banana::yay: my family and I will be in Disney at that time too! :goodvibes

Maybe next time!:upsidedow

I'll have to miss this one too...sadly it won't be because I'm at WDW tho' - family reunion for us.

Well, as I suspected this will not be an easy thing to pull together. As a single male I am a little concerned about showing up to a kids movie thing, by myself, wearing a green Mickey head. I think I would be kinda suspect.:lmao: Anyway, those that can make it should try. There's nothing saying that there cannot be an alternative later.

Another neighbor here! :goodvibes I have definitely seen the "Minnie" Cooper, actually at the stop light in front of Crossroads.......

BTW, we can't make the "Up" movie but we will be at "The Sound Of Music" singalong on the 22nd. My girls love that movie!

This sounds interesting. May I ask for more information on this singalong?

It's at the Koka booth amphitheatre (same link as above http://boothamphitheatre.com/movies.htm) on next friday July 22nd. We've been to quite a few movies at Koka. We really loved when they had the "Winter Wonderland" (can't remember the exact name) during Christmas time but I think they stopped doing that a few years ago.

Ok, so the theater does parties for as little as $5 ppn with reserved space, so it would be easy to find everyone else. It says they open at 7 and the movie starts at dusk, which I imagine is at least 8 or 8:30, so we would have time to meet each other. How about anyone that CAN and would go (not a commitment a t this point) reply with the size of your family/friends that might go with you so we can see if this is worth doing. If we have enough interest I will take the lead on organizing this.

For me it would be me +1 adult and 1 child (kids under 12 are free)

bumping for responses...I can't go, but the post got buried so I'm sending it back up!
