Imagineering pin

Sorry if this is a dumb question but what does it mean when a pin is referred to as an Imagineering pin?

I haven't heard that term so I am not sure, but WDI (Walt Disney Imagineering) releases pins that are available for purchase at Mickey's of Glendale.

Yup, what the other poster said. Most pin collectors call it a WDI pin or MOG pin.
