i am on a mission.. to maintain what is left of my sanity :teeth:

i am trying to find a
picture of the imagination loading area, as large as possible including the area around the vehicles like where you enter the round part leading to the vehicles not just where you actually get on them..i am guessing the picture on the photo part of the park place on here is new since it has the vehicles numbered on the walkway and i didn't think it was like that when the walkway moved...

in that pic does the walkway where you enter the ride vehicles still move?..someone said it is now stationary and if so does anyone know when it changed to stationary

We just came back and it took a while to figure out what they had done. They're running the ride backwards from 12 years ago. I know this b/c my then toddler dd tried to get off the ride to catch Fegment and it was at the end of the ride. When dh and I rode it this time that part was in the beginning. I think we walked onto the ride and maybe there was a moving side walk at the end-not quite sure as I was trying to figure out what changed

i know the walkway of some indoor ride moved in Jan of 2004 from the pictures i could find imagination was the one that looked most like it .the actual imagination ride we rode was the one with figment in the lab...think it might be version#3..

if the walk way didn't move in Jan of 2004 there is another ride lurking out there waiting to do me physical harm:) and i am determined to figure out which one it is ( it's not tta or sp mt,not living seas cause that was under rehab when we went) the walkway was circular with another moving walkway that came up to the circular part at a 90 degree angle but slightly off to the rt side.i thought the first part was an escalator or at least inclined downwards but maybe not. thought both the loading and unloading walkway part moved but i am not positve about the unloading part. i thinkit was at epcot since i know it was totally enclosed. which is why it thought you went
down to get on it since it was a lower level.

the vehicles were i think 2 bench type seats with auto doors. i thought they were blue but the imaginations ones are red so maybe not. they are similar to the imagination ones though.

any help will be appreciatied.

I'm not positive, but I think that was the old Journey Into Imagination. I seem to remember a small circular moving walkway. The cars used to be figment-purple. I don't think you'll have the same problem now.

Could you be thinking of Spaceship Earth? Those have a moving walkway and are blue.

How about the ride called Spaceship Earth? Those cars do load and unload on a moving platform. They are also cars that have sliding doors that close after you get in. And I'm pretty sure they are blue. I'm off to find a picture...I'll let you know if I find one.

Just rode it last week and I can confirm that there is no moving walkway when loading.

Unfortunately, I can't remember if there is one getting off of the ride or not. I don't think there is.

There was never a moving walkway on Journey into Imagination.

The current imagination if I remember right was stopped to let you board as well as to unload (since I remember waiting for the cars in front of us to get out before we could exit).

As mentioned, maybe you are thinking of spaceship earth :confused3
It has a circular platform that moves when you load and unload and the unload stops with straight cut off from the moving metal floor to a stationary one. I remember that one since my mother did a face first whammy onto the floor after she miss stepped. Now I know how the ride stops all the time ;)

lol well i guess i will just have to go back to see. the reason i know it was moving was the cm kept telling us to hurry and i was having a hard time on the moving platform( due to health issues) so evidently this has changed. don't think it was se but by now who knows!!! Thanks and if anyone comes across such an attraction next trip (since i have a long time to wait) please post so i know i really am not nuts!
