I'm.........

@flyingdumbo127, I understand you are getting better at getting up from sitting. So happy you see progress!

Using my rollator, I have had many more steps a day than I have had in a long while. Sometimes my feet have complained, but I do want to walk as much as I can while I am able to. We have booked a cruise to Canada, for 11 months from now. I will consider an ECV for the ship so I can save walking around the ship, just walk to/from shore excursions.

Tomorrow we stop in Victoria BC. I think it’s Parliament buildings are beautiful. We’ve been here many times, but are taking a coach to places we haven’t been.

Many years ago, with my Mom, we had tea in the Empress Hotel. I took this picture in 2019, when we were on a DCL cruise.

Thanks, dear Bobbi and as always thank you for allowing us to virtually travel with you, my friend through pictures. I am getting much better at getting up from sitting on my bed which is higher than the recliner chair. Trying to walk with even weight on both feet more, too. Long process because it is feet but step by step in faith I'll get there. As always my deepest thanks to you and everyone for your continuing extra prayers and encouragement.

Love all the pictures, Bobbi.
We've been to Victoria many times too, Stayed at the Empress once when the kids were little.
I've had tea there several times.
We used to live close enough to drive......taking a ferry.
Enjoy your day.

A ferry ride sounds like a lot of fun, Meriweather, I hope it was :) I've never been on one just the Tom Sawyer Island raft which I know is hardly the same thing just a similar idea :)

Maybe the first time......it's just a mode of transportation in the Puget Sound.
Drive your car on, get out or stay in it, sit inside and wait.

I'm...getting familiar with this newer format of, Disboards. Man! It's been a looong time since I've last been here, ten years or so! Help the newbie; do I have to subscribe to the threads I've replied or are they auto notifications now? :hourglass
