I'm.........

As soon as I’m done with this post, I’m going to make 24 little slider sandwiches for DH’s Daytona 500 party (they are so good) and then Katie and I are going to go shopping for a prom dress. We’ve already gone to a few places, but we want to check out a couple more places before she makes a decision. There’s so many dresses that she likes, but once she puts them on they aren’t flattering. She’s short 5’3”, has a big frame and she’s very broad shouldered - she looks as strong as she is. So trying to find the right dress is a challenge. We went to a shop yesterday that is owned by an older Chinese lady that people call dress mama, and she found a perfect dress for Katie, but it’s pretty plain and girls today like lots of embellishment. I’m hoping Katie goes with this plainer dress - it makes her look elegant. Katie did like it too, but she still wants to look around. This dress mama lady really knows her craft - she taught us a lot. If I ever need an elegant dress I’m going to her - she’s awesome!

I’m very happy today - I had lunch with one of my oldest and dearest friends. Him and I have been friends since he was 15 and I was 16 and he’s my DD23’s Godfather. It’s been almost a year since I’ve seen him and I’ve missed him terribly, but life moves fast and really gets away from all of us. We used to meet once a month, so we set our next lunch date in about 4 weeks. He’s the closest thing I have to a brother - my heart is very happy to have seen him today :goodvibes

documenting 2/22/22...went to goodwill where I could manipulate the price of the recipt...just add cents to purchase by donationg to equal $2.22 by donating the cents ..so welcome and good night to 2/2/22....anyhow...turned out to be a good night...ebay says total purchse of 5.45 on senior day will equal to 33.33 at high price of retail sales. anyhow put the $2.22 recipt in 2 samuel, chapter 22 verse 22....my FOMO of the week is now over....I have no idea what I did in 1/11/11...though I am sure that recipt is somewhere in my journals.

last coldest day of the winter visitor year tomorrow...44 degrees with high of 60 and some splatters of raindrops...this time next week....the weeping of 90 degrees.....beware the ides of March....going to be brutal....cease/seize the moment tomorrow as sister and I plan to walk among the rain inspired fragrance of the oldest plant on earth and recall our Joshua Tree childhood.

This morning here in Cape May we have mid 50’s!

Right now, I am soaking my orchids. Both are budding, and maybe two weeks from flowering. I also have three amaryllis bulbs with buds, as well as a Christmas cactus that is still blooming.

I am happy to have blooms inside in the gloomy days of winter!

wife loved your photo!!!! she had a 30 year old plant that was just glorius....I told her to take to Oregon last summer....really hard to have a non christmas cactus grower to care for your plant....so it died....she seem relieved to have the responbilty gone as they are plants hard to manage in our setting.
rain came, wind really worse than predicted so no market...so researching values again.

I’m about ready to leave work to rush home, eat dinner and then go throw balls for Katie to practice her hitting (I love doing this). Throughout the years I’m able to zip those balls in quick 🙂👍🏼
