I’m very stressed - DH lost his job yesterday.
His employer lost some big accounts and they cut 30% of their work force and DH was part of it. We’ve been down this road before and it never gets easier. I’m praying he finds another job soon

I'm enjoying a quiet morning while DH is sleeping

And then the usual laundry and cleaning of upstairs

I’m grateful for all your kind words and prayers. The day after my DH was let go we read about other local companies letting go of people -one being Morton Salt - they let go of 40% of their people - terrible times.

I‘m just praying DH can find something close to home - moving now, with DD entering her senior year would be bad. Plus, we are both only children, and I don’t want us to leave our parents - we all live in the same town and I’d like to keep it that way. We need to be close to help them in their older years.

We’ll just take things one day at a time and pray a lot

On a different note…..I can’t believe it’s August 1st .
Katie has her knee surgery on Wednesday and then she starts school on the 10th. She won’t be able to drive, because her right knee is the bad knee, so I’ll be driving her to school again. Luckily she has friends to drive her home (or DH now that he’s home). I have a sad feeling that her senior year is going to fly by in the blink of an eye. I’m going to enjoy every moment before she has to leave for college.

When DS had his knee surgery (about 5 years ago). I had to drive him to work ( 1/2 hour) and DGD to day care.
Luckily most days DIL could pick them up

I‘m starting my Monday very pleased with my weekend - we trimmed all our bushes on Saturday and I cleaned my entire house on Sunday. It was nice to have a weekend free of softball so I/we could get a lot done.

I'm.....finally home [late this weekend] after an emergency flight to Orlando to take care of my DS for 2 weeks, who contracted the Delta strain of Covid....he's by himself down there, and you KNOW how moms worry. I had to take him to the hospital because he had some trouble breathing. Happy to say, he's pretty much fully recovered and got the green light to go back to work....
