We have traveled 2,024 miles on the trip, and are heading north. One night in Emporia VA, and we will arrive tomorrow. Picking up Gus at 8:30 PM Tuesday!

Good morning from Emporia VA. Our last day on the road. Its about 4-5 hour drive to the ferry, not a heavy travel day.

I’m getting my first infusion today for my ulcerative colitis. I really hope this doesn’t make me feel bad - I do not have time for anything to make me feel bad.

I’m going to take Katie to the orthopedic at some time today. She got hit in the wrist with a line drive at practice last night and we need to see if her wrist is broken. She’s been hit in the same spot before and it was a bone bruise, which takes longer to heal than a hairline fracture. Whatever she has, she’s definitely not playing her 3 games this week. So frustrating and she’s so upset.

I’m releaved to say that Katie‘s wrist is not broken, but it is very injured - so swollen and bruised - she can’t make a fist. The orthopedic told her that he does not want her playing until she’s able to grip a bat without pain. Her coach told her that she will not step on a field this week and maybe next week too. He wants her ready for sectionals, which I totally agree with. Thank you for your concern and well wishes

I’m also happy to say my infusion went smooth and my side effects have been minimal. I was tired afterwards, but that’s ok. My next one is in 2 weeks. Thank you for your well wishes with this too

I found a partially eaten fish in our lawn area, so, something is up. Leaving a house for two weeks has consequences!

Yes one of my goldfish.

When I fed the fish today, everything seems normal. The water is not clear, but after the filter not being cleaned for such a long period, it’s not unusual.

I just got back from some pre operation bloodwork, EKG.

Am enjoying herbal tea, a bit of quiet time, then back to unpacking my clean clothes. We brought too much! Laundry is done and put away.

I am now spending less time at the computer for some reason my shoulders are really stiffening up...maybe because of the heat or time in pool. anyhow, after 30 mins beocmes uncomfortable
