Hi!
We we’re happy to get away and see our Ohio friends, and have some fun in Dollywood. Only shows outside were playing, and they were enjoyable. The steam train they have was running at less than one third capacity. Two out of three seats were roped off and in each row only one family or group was allowed. Plenty of hosts were around wiping down tables/chairs at outdoor eating venues. Train cars were wiped down after each run.
In general though, the tourists in Pigeon Forge were not social distancing or wearing masks. We did not eat outside of Dollywood except to have take out, and the one who went in to buy did wear a mask.
TN rest rooms along highways did not have signs requiring masks, but in VA on Friday they were required. When we drove home on Monday, the signs were gone in VA, maybe they entered a new phase.
We will be staying close to home from now on. Seeing our friends and experiencing Dollywood was risky enough.
