We had some rain but no flooding so far.

Well, it has hit here.
Raining really hard, lots of thunder and lightning. Loudest I have heard in years. Shaking the house.
Lost Dish signal, so just have internet left for now.
Supposed to last for a couple more hours.
I like it as long as we don't lose power.
We'll see what it looks like outside tomorrow

Internet is good, at least the computer and Netflix is working.
We used to have a generator when we lived in WA......got one after 5 days with no power in winter and snowed in

Your storms sound awful Nancy....we're expecting horrible ones starting tomorrow. We get hail about every 2-3 weeks but haven't lost power yet (underground lines).

I'm back from "under the hood" maintenance appointments again; getting so tired of these!

No loss of power. We have underground lines also.
Just Dish went out for an hour or so.
We have more coming in. Usual for this time of year.

Family dinner tonight. DS's birthday is tomorrow, so we are celebrating tonight on our usual Wed. family dinner.
Early airport run tomorrow morning to take DH. He is going to NC for a few days.
Too early.....his plane leaves at 5!

Thank you. It was fun. DGD opened all his presents and made a pile that she said was hers

I got up at 2 today to take DH to the airport, so play to lay around all day and watch movies and TV shows.

I got a new DSLR; another Canon; the T6s.

How do you like it? I have the t2i cannon, I still love it

I had (still have) a T2i and a T4i but I wanted more pixels plus I had dropped my T4i and though it worked it didn't always focus properly plus I damaged one of my main lenses in the fall.

The T6s is great but I have a lot to learn; the mode selection dial has a lock that you have to press on to change modes (Portrait to Landscape) and so on. The increase in pixels is nice and Canon made major improvements in the lenses starting with the T5i.

After DISsing today I'm going to watch a couple videos I bought for this camera. We'll see how much I can learn.

Oh , awesome. That is the problem so expensive to fix. You can learn from you tube as well. I love how people go step by step to show you how to learn. Is that camera a little heavier?

The camera body isn't significantly heavier but the lens I bought with it is much heavier (18-135mm). THis lens is supposed to be more all purpose and hopefully will replace my damaged 55-250mm.
