I'm back.......had an okay time. Victoria has changed a lot in the few years since I have been there. Lots of construction going on

That happens sometimes; I'm afraid of a similar thing with some of my friends back in Maryland.

I'm accompanying DH for another minor procedure/test at the hospital today. Yesterday's was supposed to take 4 hours but ended after 1.5!

Then I should clean house; it gets very dusty here in the Springs!

I loath dusting. When we lived in what was the desert area everything always felt gritty. I hope everything is okay with your hubby.

Me too! Even the person ordering our blinds and shutters said that dust is a real problem in our area; guess I didn't do enough research before I moved!

DH's tests are pretty much baseline; we both have been making endless appointments to get these done. Even with records and mri's etc. from our prior doctors it seems they want it all done again here in Colorado. Plus we're at the point in our lives where 'maintenance' is required.

Seems like wanting to keep billing insurance for needless tests. And people wonder why health insurance is so darn costly. I would never think about looking up things like dust in the area either. But I guess we both learned a lesson. I will keep it in prayer that they stop asking for needless things that are all in the doctors record already.

And yet they don't want to fix problems the simple way.

So true Jo! She had a small skin cancer on her nose that at her age 85 had very little likelihood of spreading or causing problems but the surgeon pushed her to have it removed (3 minor surgeries requiring hospitalization due to her age) and then a big surgery to create a flap of skin to cover the earlier surgery. Leaving it alone would have been far better than all the anesthesia, pain, medications and visits. And she had gone to him for a completely different problem in the first place!

There are 5 huge retirement communities in my mother's small town and the number of referrals and specialists have dramatically increased over the years. Her town should be renamed "Medicare Mill"!

Thanks for the support! I myself hope it won't last for long at least because now it's more than confirmed that I caught a cold. And a sore throat is literally a pain.

Good morning! I am enjoying a cup of coffee on our porch in Cape May. We leave for Ohio tomorrow.

Cape May is an important flyway for birds. We all noticed yesterday an influx of dragonflies. I see 2 right now!

I'm a bit tired after our trip to Seven Falls yesterday; hiked up 224 steep stairs along the falls and then did a half-mile hike to Inspiration Point for a great view of the mountains and Colorado Springs.
