But I made it through a full day at work. Probably shouldn't have, with how tired I was by the time I got home, but oh well. (And pretty much all I did was sit at the computer all day and I'm still this tired)

It was rather hard today, but not as hard as I'd anticipated. Most people gave me my space, and a few came by to offer support.

The problem I found over the weekend at work that was causing me stress was resolved within an hour of my getting to work this morning, so I feel better about that. My managers were both quite supportive and helpful, as was my cubemate.

A couple of coworkers came by to ask if I could do some work on various projects that were pretty much busy-work, but things that needed to be done. Both work that was useful and allowed me to be distracted and keep busy, but at the same time something fairly mindless that I could work on in my current state. In other words, exactly what I needed for the day.

I also contacted a few people at work who used to go to my dad for graphics stuff and have told them that if they want to, I can take over the graphics stuff my dad used to do. I actually know one of the programs better than he did, and know how to do 99% of the other graphics stuff he did. Being able to take on the graphics stuff my dad used to do will make me feel better.

My mom went back to her house today and will be sleeping there for the first time again tonight. Please keep her in your thoughts, it's obvious it's hard on her. I talked to her for a bit when I got home.

I'm tired enough, I'm going to head to bed already. Hopefully I'll have more stamina tomorrow. There's an embroidery guild meeting tomorrow night that I'd like to attend if I have the energy. My mom might come, but probably won't. One of my friends is interested in going with me, though. I figure that'll be a good distraction too.

Sounds like you did very well. In a lot of ways getting back into the swing of your daily routine might help the stress level a little. I know I felt much better when I got back to doing some of my usual things. It at least gives you a breather where you aren't thinking about recent events.

Hope your mom does well tonight in her own home. I know it will be hard, but it may feel good in a way, too.

I'm still thinking of you.

Way to go, Tammi! Glad you made it through your first full day at work and that it wasn't as bad as you anticipiated. (Told ya the dread is usually worse than the actual deed. ;)) And tired is a good thing! Hope it enabled you to get a *really* good night's sleep. :) Also hope your mom was able to rest in her own home. That must be really hard for her. Continued thoughts and prayers going out to both of you.

That is two hurdles dealth with. :) Your place of work and your coworkers sound great. I'm glad they are there for you.

Tammi, I am so glad your day back was better than anticipated. Getting back into the swing of things can be hard, but usually good for you in the end. I hope that your mom did okay back at her own house last night. And I do hope today is another good one for you

Tammi-I'm glad to hear that your work day went better yesterday than you had been thinking that it would. I'm sure that is was a very difficult thing to do, but getting back into some kind of normal will be a big help for you. I'll be keeping your Mom in my prayers as she stays at her house tonight. I'm sure that it will be difficult for her, but if she feels she is ready to give it a try then she must be ready. If for some reason she decides she isn't I'm sure she'll let you know.

You all are still in my thoughts and prayers everyday.

I hope today goes even better!

I think you will do wonderful taking over the graphics projects that your Dad did. DH and still admire your 9/11 graphic - I think you have a real talent there! Hopefully this will also help you in your healing.

Glad you got through yesterday. One day at a time, my friend.
