I'm thankful for...MICKEY!!! My Thanksgiving '08 TR!: TR Update, Last Day!

I'm glad you enjoyed Chicago and got to see the new baby! :goodvibes

p.s. I'm going to San Diego in two weeks for my first 29th birthday!!! (I'm sure I will have MANY more 29th birthdays. My mom had me convinced until I was about 11 years old that she was still 29. Too bad she was 36 when I was born!)

Hope you have lots of fun in San Diego! I was there last October and had a blast. :thumbsup2

My mom also had me when she was 36, but we share the same birthday, so her theory is that her birthday transferred to me and she hasn't aged since then.

I love the new hair! The darker color looks great on you :thumbsup2

Welcome back! Glad you had a great time in Chicago and I love the darker hair color!

I am looking forward to seeing how you change up your ADR's...I have the same bug right now I think I will be switching San Angel in with Teppan Edo. We shall see. Talk to ya soon!

I love the darker color on you! I think it looks great.:goodvibes

Happy to hear you had a good time and that you're back and ready to DIS...at least until your next trip! This seems like a great travel year for you, I'm a little jealous. How wonderful to go all these different places, and I get to live vicariously through by reading all about it here! Ah, I love the DIS!:goodvibes

Thank you! :goodvibes

I just love traveling. And I love sharing it with all of my DIS friends, so I'm glad that you all enjoy it too!

Welcome back - until you take off again, that is!

So when November rolls around and we're having our big meet, should we be looking for a blonde, a brunette, a redhead....maybe pitch black with a purple or red streak?

I'd say if that is what it looks like when it's messed up, you're certainly doing okay!

Glad you got to see the new baby. We'll look forward to hearing about your ADR selections. Have a good Friday!

It's WAY too soon to tell what color my hair will be in November. But now that you mention black with a purple streak... :lmao:

I have to call Disney Dining in a minute!

Hi! Welcome back - I'm glad you had a great time! I love your new hair color!

Thank you! :goodvibes

Hello!

New subscriber alert! I found your report this morning and have read ALL 59 pages over the course of my morning at work. I have been doing a REALLY boring job and it hasn't been half as bad as I've been able to sneakily read your report every 5mins or so!

Your plans sound amazing - if it helps, I have these dining tips...

CS restaurant in MK - def. recommend Pecos Bills or Columbia Harbour House. I had THE most delicious pulled pork sandwich at Pecos Bills and the Fixins Bar is cool too! We did the 'Keys to the Kingdom' tour one morning and lunch at CHH was included - it was so tasty. I'm English, and yes, I do love fish and chips - believe me, these were yummy!!!

TS restaurants - we did Sci Fi at HS, the food was ok, not bad at all, just ok, but with the atmosphere, it was very worthwhile.
We also did Le Cellier at Epcot, one of the best meals of our trip!!! We ate at Jiko too as we stayed at the AKL - again one of the best meals of the trip.

My hubby sounds like yours - he likes Disney holidays but isn't fanatical about them. He's happy to go, but wouldn't go as often as I would (if I could!). He also thinks it just costs way too much to go (especially as we live in England). He seems to think there is more to Orlando and Florida than Disney - he's crazy I know!!!

Anyway, I can't wait to read more!

xxx

Thanks for reading!!! :goodvibes

I also love fish and chips. Columbia Harbor House is on the list for sure. Yum!

We're going to do Boma this time instead of Jiko. I had dinner at Jiko on one trip and it was absolutely delicious. But there's just something about the buffet...

I can't imagine how much a Disney trip costs you and you husband living in England. The plane tickets alone must be crazy!

Thanks again for reading.

I peeked at your PTR, gotta go back and finish reading. Your wedding photos are gorgeous!

I'm glad you enjoyed Chicago and got to see the new baby! :goodvibes

What did you do in San Diego? Any must-sees?

I like your mom's theory. Maybe if DH and I have a kid next year, I will stop aging for real at 29!

I love the new hair! The darker color looks great on you :thumbsup2

Thank you! I'm starting to like the darker color WAY better than blond! After a lifelong search for the right color, I think i found the right now (till six weeks from now when I go to the hair place again! :rotfl: )

Oops, and I forgot to say that your hair looks great!

Thank you!!! :goodvibes

Do you mean you will go to Teppan Edo instead of San Angel? Teppan Edo sounds SOOO good!

Welcome back!!!

I LOVE the new hair color. It's beautiful!!!

Thank you! You've already left by now...I hope you're having a safe flight!

Love the new hair color!

Can't wait to hear about the ADRs.

Thank you!

I went to a training on ABA and positive behavior enforcement for people who work with kids with autism yesterday. Very interesting. And I can't wait to try some of the new stuff on monday!

Well, I just hung up with Disney Dining.

I got the new ADR I wanted.

So we'll have lunch at the 50s Prime Time Cafe on our DHS day!

This is the ONLY table service I could get my family to agree to. They're so concerned about money.

I am going to try to figure out where DH and I can sneak in a couple more table service meals. I hate to ditch the family, but there are so many places I want to try!

Very cool! Alex had someone working with him doing 2 hours a day of ABA discrete trial teaching starting at age 2. It continued through preschool. It made a HUGE difference for him.

Congrats on the 50s PTC ADR. I'm sure your family won't mind if you & DH want to have a meal alone together. :goodvibes

What did you do in San Diego? Any must-sees?

Oh, the typical stuff. The zoo is great. :goodvibes Also went to Sea World, but if it came between one or the other, I'd definitely go with the zoo. :thumbsup2 We also did one of those bus tours, where you can get off at stops and wander around then get on again and continue the tour. It was a good way to get an overview of the city, though the day we did it, it was raining so we didn't actually get off the bus that much.

There was also a long search on foot (didn't rent a car) for a Whole Foods, but I don't recommend that.

:yay: I'm looking forward to hearing about Prime Time. It does sound like a lot of fun--I'm sure you and the whole family will enjoy it! And I don't think they'd mind if you and DH had a couple of meals alone together. It's usually best to split up for a bit on family trips. :goodvibes

ABA is very interesting to me. I'm definitely going to try to take more courses in it. So many parents say things just like what you said about Alex, which is incredible.

The Zoo is on the list for sure. I haven't been there yet.

I have a small aversion to Sea World as i got lost in Sea World as a child.

My mom and I did that trolley tour a few years ago and it was great. Maybe DH and I will do that. He hasn't done that before.

I've been to Prime Time before, but I can not remember what I ate. I guess that means it wasn't bad, but maybe it wasn't good either? I guess we'll find out!

I think I'm going to make some ADRs for DH and me. You're absolutely right. We will need several breaks from the family!

Hey Julie! Love the new color, it's striking and makes your eyes stand out. I just had mine done by a girl at my place who hadn't done it before and I don't like it :rolleyes1 good thing I can do it again for free..... I wish we could get into Boma, I'll try again when we get there. Let us know what all of your ADR's turn out to be!

Thanks Leyla!

Did you have the girl cut and color your hair? I am always nervous to have new people do my hair. I guess that's why I wait till I go to Chicago to get my hair done.!

I will keep my fingers crossed for you guys to get into Boma!

The hair is beautiful!!

Thank you! :goodvibes

Congrats on your 50's PTC ADR! I don't think I'll ever get to go there because DH would never appreciate getting "picked on" by the "family members"! Has your DH ever been?

Do you mean you will go to Teppan Edo instead of San Angel? Teppan Edo sounds SOOO good!

Man I messed up my grammar initially...I did mean to cancel San Angel and go to Teppan Edo instead. I just got off the phone with DFri and she is going to look at the menu tonight and call me. We both love going for sushi (I know it will be extra) and love hibachi so I think it is a good switch. Nothing is worse than BAD Mexican food.

Congrats on the Sci Fi ADR it actually looks pretty neat there. Let us know what you and DH decide on!

My DH has never been to 50s PTC and he definitely won't love getting picked on, but he'll be a good sport. I think my SIL will think it's hilarious.

Teppan Edo sounds so good. That might be one that DH and I do on our own. I have heard VERY mixed reviews on San Angel. I don't get it...some people love it and some people say it's not even as good as Taco Bell. :confused3
