I'm thinking that the dining plan might be great when we have kids. So maybe in a few years...

I'll try to take pics this weekend after we get everything put back where it belongs. Right now, everything is shoved onto the patio to allow the workers some room!

You are so right Jessica. Being tied to your ADRs can sometimes be a daunting task. Maybe it's better to have more flexibility in your schedule.

At Sweet Tomatoes, I had salad, garden vegetable soup (SO yummy), focaccia, a couple bites of mac and cheese, and some ice cream with oreos and caramel syrup. Maybe I can eat all that food on the dining plan...

The phone will not work anymore?? I have friends who drop their phones into the toliet (and they are normally talking on it) and if you dry it out they normally work again.
I remember when I first got my license and having to take the bag phone with me when I went out at night. Yeah and we thought we were real cool because we had one... Now I can't believe how small a phone can get.

Sorry about your phone! But all I can think about right now is that you've had to fish cell phones out of the toilet twice! Eewwww! What kind of phone did you have? Just wondering, because I didn't know that one had a pedometer feature. I'm currently using an old cellphone (not bag phone old). When DD was about 7 months old she got a hold of mine and slobbered all over it. It never worked after that. I just miss having real songs as my ringtone. My current phone has a camera, but only MIDI type ringtones. That doesn't make sense to me!

I am like you with the dining plan. I love the thought of all the yummy food - especially after reading the food porn threads. But I don't think we would want to be tied to being at a restaurant at a particular time. It also seems like an awful lot of food, and I'm one of those that feels bad if I have a lot left over that's going to get thrown away.

I'm sure things will work out OK with the dining plan & your ADRs. If I remember correctly, didn't you miss/cancel several ADRs on your last trip because they were inconvenient?

Sorry about the dining plan but it's really not that bad. In all reality you'll be saving money by not going with the plan and you won't be tied down. I've heard you get so much food with the dining plan that you wind up spending a good three hours a day in restaurants between the sit-down and counter service meals. Now you can still make ADRs and eat wherever you want and whenever you want with the ability to cancel at the last minute if you don't feel like going without risking wasting your credits or losing your money... and this is all while having more money to spend on souvenirs and more time to spend on the rides. Sounds good to me!

You're right about DDP. Definitely not necessary. Just convenient and fun. Someday we'll try it!

The grossest part is that one of the toilets was at a patient's house. Ick!

The phone with the pedometer is a Sony Ericsson w580i. The pedometer tracks your steps from day to day, week to week and also calculates calorie expenditure. It also has an mp3 player and comes with earbuds and a usb cable and everything so you can use it as your mp3 player while counting your steps. Such a cool phone...

I always feel so bad to throw away food. For that reason, DH and I usually split a meal when we go out to dinner.

You have a great memory, Amy! I did miss/cancel most of the ADRs on my last trip because we didn't feel like dedicating the time to eating. That in itself is a great reason not to do the dining plan.

Guess what!!!!!!

I just put the battery and SIM card into my drowned phone and it turned on and worked!!!!

The screen looks a little funny, but everything I've tried appears to be working properly. I'm so excited! I'm going to let it dry out for one more day and then go back to using it for good tomorrow!

Yay! I was feeling bad for asking you what kind of cell phone you had and making you re-hash all the cool features.

I just accidentally washed the key fob to get us into our dog park . I don't know how those things work exactly - I just flash it in front of a strip and it opens the door. Hopefully it has dried out like your phone and I won't have to buy a new one!
