I'm Super Excited!!!!

I am soooo excited that I have to share with people that will understand why I am soooo excited.

We are heading to California/Las Vegas for 10 days June 29th. We are spending the first 4 nights in Anahiem and we were booked into the Howard Johnson (if you go to Disneyland you know the place). Then we are heading out to Las Vegas for the July 4th weekend. The down to the San Diego area. My DH has a friend that lives in Escondido that has offered us his house to use since they will be up here in Alberta while we are there. Cool eh!

Well since we don't have hotel costs in San Diego my wonderful DH says to me yesterday how much more will it cost to stay at the Disneyland Hotel? Well I go online and sign onto the annual passholders portion (we got ap's last summer). Check the price then decide to call instead. So to make a long story short we are now staying at the Disneyland Hotel for our 4 nights and it is only costing us $200.00 more. We thought why not because who knows when we will get the chance again because we are not renewing our AP's this summer.

We decided not to tell the boys 6&8 and surprise them when we get there. I can't wait to see the look on their faces when they see the Neverland Pool.

Congratuations, that's so exciting. I've always wanted to stay at a Disney hotel in Anaheim, but never could bring myself to pay the price (no ap's)

Escondido is a great location too. You probably already know this, but the Wild Animal Park is there and your boys would love it if they like animals. (not zoo-like, the animals are out in wide open space)

Legoland in Carlsbad is also great.

Have a wonderful trip. We stayed onsite at Disneyland for the very first time in 2007 and it was absolutely wonderful

Did the same thing to my girls on our third trip to DLR
After two stays at the Candy Cane hotel I told them we were going back again.

Even drove right up to the hotel then made a fake fuss about having to go to the grocery store first.

My wife then whined (faking of course) that she just wanted to check in so I turned up the road toward the DLH telling all that I was turning around

Then I freaked out my daughters by turning into the DLH!!!

It was awesome

amjt660 we were thinking of doing the same thing. Driving by the HoJo and then saying something like that and then telling them that we need to do something or get something first. Then head over to the DLH and see if they clue into it.
