"I'M STUCK IN DISNEY!!!!!!!!" A Delightfully Unliveable TR ~ NEW TR 9/27!!!!!!!!!!!

OCTOBER 26, 2012
Day 6, Part 7 In Which I Enter New Fantasyland For The First Time EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay everyone, you're in for a TREAT!!! If I do say so myself. I have the entire rest of my night at MNSSHP *Plus* my exclusive MNSSHP Video Diary for you today!!!

I AM GOING TO DISNEY WORLD IN 8 DAYS. SHUT UP AND GO HOME THIS CAN'T BE TRUE.

OH MY GOD.

Okay, let's get right on into this!!!!

I walked merrily from Liberty Square into Fantasyland, got more candy... and then I noticed something that practically made my heart stop.

It looked like - and I wasn't sure - but IT LOOKED LIKE PEOPLE WERE GOING INTO NEW FANTASYLAND.

NO NO NO NO NO.

There's no way.

Could this REALLY be the moment I would AT LAST see NEW FANTASYLAND??????

I caught this all on video and I love watching it. I captured a beyond magical moment of shock, awe, and joy!

I quickly made my way over to the entrance and there was like a wall of people trying to get in, mostly just standing around. Duh, people. Move!!! Do something.

I made my way to the right side of the mob and saw a opening where I could get through! OH MY GOD!

I spoke briefly to a CM who told me everything should be in operation. She was nice but I could barely speak to her, I was LOSING IT. Like, I couldn't form words.
If you thought I freaked upon meeting Eugene, FORGET IT.

No one has ever said "Oh My God" so many times out loud before. I just kept repeating it. There was nothing else I could say. Words were not forming in my head correctly as

I

WALKED

INTO

NEW

FANTASYLAND.

OH.

MY.

GOD.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I could not even believe my eyes.

There it was, Beast's Castle. Belle's House. Gaston's Tavern. Eric's Castle.

RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES!

AND I HAD ACCESS TO ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO. Way. Just no.

I was in total shock.

I made my way to Eric's Castle first and I was literally floating on a cloud. There was no thought process, it was literally just me wandering through New Fantasyland with my head among the stars. I don't even know.

Eric's Castle looked absolutely PERFECT. I had determined this days ago, because you can see it from Regular Fantasyland. However, getting closer and closer made this even more clear to me. It's just so weird seeing something you have seen in animation for 23 years sitting right in front of you.

And you can go inside.

You can live it. Experience the fantasy that you so obsessed over as a child and lbr, an adult.

This is why these additions to the Magic Kingdom are genius. Because there is not just a building attached to another building that contains a Little Mermaid ride. It's literally Eric's Castle.

Eric was always my #2 crush behind Aladdin. He is now #3 that Eugene is in my life, but I still love him. I mean, what a hunk, and if you married him you would get to live A. On the beach and B. With a giant dog. So Eric rules.

I really think they need to have him greeting over here. This is my only grievance. I mean, it's his freaking castle, so where is he? You can meet Ariel in her Grotto, Belle in her house, Beast at his castle, and Gaston at his Tavern.

Where is Eric? Really.

Anyway, the best way to sum up New Fantasyland is that it is like stepping into The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast films. Moreso than any other Disney area, I would say. Certain rides/attractions elsewhere in Disney put you in that movie world, but as far as a whole area that makes it feel like you are literally a part of the film, New Fantasyland is it. ESPECIALLY the Beauty & the Beast area. But also, as soon as you enter the Under the Sea line, you are transported into Ariel's world. It's just remarkable. My dream is that they will one day do this same thing with Alice, and create Wonderland. Can you imagine? *dead*

@babybritney: I AM IN NEW FANTASDYLAND I AM CRYIGN SO HARD OH MYDGOIDODODDHSKBIKNBS

So I get in line for Under The Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid with more excitement than could ever be explained. Any new Disney ride is extremely exciting, but one based on one of my all-time favorite movies is just too much. I love love love love love LOVE LOVE the Little Mermaid.

The queue is quite long and very well themed and so interesting. Like I said, it is very immersive and takes you fully into Ariel's world. I was keeping an eye out for Hidden Mickeys, and an off-duty Cast Member who was dressed as a Haunted Mansion ghost actually pointed out the Nautilius to me!

I had completely avoided spoilers of New Fantasyland, so I had no idea that this even existed. Here is a picture of him pointing it out:

8696777865_1ba8de2bf0_z.jpg

I LOVE THAT PICTURE. It's just so spooky and ominous.

I could not get a good picture of the Nautilius as my camera is not good in low light. For those who don't know, the hidden Nautilius is a tribute to the former 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction. The Nautilus is the name of the submarine from Disney's 20,000 Leagues movie. AWESOME.

Here is my "OMG I'M IN NEW FANTASYLAND OMG I'M ABOUT TO GO ON THE ARIEL RIDE OMG THE NAUTILIUS OMG" picture.

8697900346_be19852086_z.jpg

There is a game in the queue that I can barely even explain but it was so cool. I barely got to do it b/c the line was going so quickly but basically there are these portholes that you can look through and you will see little crabs passing through and all these objects sitting there. If you point out an object that doesn't go with the other ones, a little crab will come and move it. I was like WHAT IS EVEN GOING ON THIS IS SO COOL HOW IS THIS EVEN WORKING. It looks so awesome.

8697900180_75d51a9f7e_z.jpg

I've got gadgets and gizmos a plenty...

8696777473_e167c76262_z.jpg

I've got whosits and whatsits galore...

8696777317_ed36a71340_z.jpg

You want thingamabobs? I've got twenty!

8696777139_ddd4458a80_z.jpg

But who cares... no big deal... I want more.

8697899558_55e81e5b90_z.jpg

I can't wait to go through the queue during #BirthdayFestivus13 because like I said, it is so detailed! I wanted to look at everything more. The wait was pretty much non-existent, and I can't even tell you how blessed I felt that I was getting to experience a nearly-empty new area that would surely be packed to the gills for months to come. AHH. It was just so special and unexpected and amazing.

I got to the loading area and FREAKED OUT AGAIN. I WAS REALLY ABOUT TO RIDE THIS. OH MY GOD.

8696781869_86cbf6aeb2_z.jpg

I love the mural. It's so simple... just that scene of Ariel sitting there watching Eric and falling in love and dreaming. *sigh*

Okay so... I boarded my clamshell and braced myself for total and complete AMAZINGNESS.

This ride. I was just in awe the whole time. It was hard to take everything in. I sang along to all the songs the entire time and just enjoyed myself SO MUCH. Oh my God it was so much fun.

My first impression was mainly that while most of the ride was your classic Disney dark ride, I thought the transition of going from land to under the sea was exceptional and a step above. It was a fantastic effect and I just stared with my eyes as big as saucers the whole time!

8696781735_06568a72cc_z.jpg

My other favorite part is the very end with the wedding and the fireworks. I was tearing up during this whole experience, but that really made me cry. It was beautiful and I was just so in shock that I was even there, nevermind getting to ride this attraction. It was truly an incredible moment!

@babybritney: I have no words..........

After returning to dry land, I tried to figure out my next move.

I was VERY conflicted because the Boo To You Parade was about to begin. I thought this would be my last chance to see it and I was DYING to see it again. I mean, you know by now how much I absolutely LOVE this parade.

However, I had JUST GOTTEN INTO NEW FANTASYLAND!!!! I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE! Especially because I was worried that it would close early, I wouldn't be let back in, and I would miss my chance to see the rest of it. Remember, I had no idea I would be getting #StuckInDisney so I did not know I would get much more time to spend there.

I really wanted to meet Ariel in her fin, so I went to check out that line. It had a decent amount of people in it and I knew if I waited at that time I would miss Boo to You. I talked to the CM at the entrance and she said Ariel was definitely going to be greeting all night. FINALLY A CM WHO KNEW WHAT WAS UP WITH THE CHARACTERS. OH THANK YOU GOD.

That eased my worries about New Fantasyland closing early, so I left the line and headed out, excited to see my favorite parade ever for a second time, confident that I would be right back there after it ended!

I just had to have one of my cherry Mickey lollipops from my Trick or Treat bag. Yum!

8696781643_aeee422fae_z.jpg

I love that picture because it really shows my childlike excitement! Oh my God, I can not even describe the overall happiness of this night.

I still had a little bit of time before Boo To You, and I noticed Phillip and Aurora were out with a very small line, so I got in it!

The girl in front of me was dressed as brunette Rapunzel! AWESOMENESS.

8696781539_6a1186106d_z.jpg

I have never met Aurora or Phillip before, so I really had no idea what they would be like. Their personalities in the movie are nowhere near as distinct as say, Rapunzel and Eugene, so I really didn't know what to expect.

8696781427_d520ae6beb_z.jpg

THEY WERE AWESOME.

It was clear that they were very close and they would make a fantastic improv team! They had that overly perfectly sweet Disney Prince & Princess attitude, but they also had a really awesome sense of humor and cool vibe. I loved talking to them.

8698382529_a8b4c2e622_z.jpg

8698382917_ff759df9c3_z.jpg

They LOVED my costume and wouldn't stop gushing over it, and again, how glittery I was. I asked what they were going to be for Halloween and Phillip said that Aurora should go as SLEEPY THE DWARF. Aurora was like "HA HA, very funny!" and Phillip said, "I'm just kidding, my dear." in the most loving way, and then they held hands. They're perfect.

They then decided that they were going to have a Royal Halloween Party at their castle with me as the Guest of Honor!!! OH MY GOODNESS.

Phillip said, "Why yes, if Mickey can have a big Halloween party, so can we, don't you think, Aurora?" And she said "Yes, but I still haven't decided what my costume is going to be! Maybe I could get Miss Merryweather to turn my dress blue!" I LOVED THAT SHE SAID THAT B/C THAT IS OBVIOUSLY THE COOLEST PART OF THE MOVIE WHEN THE DRESS IS CHANGING COLORS AS THEY DANCE, OMG.

I suggested that they dress as each other for their Halloween Party and they got a kick out of it, omg. It was so cute. Then they just went on and on talking about how funny that would be and what it would be like to wear each other's costumes and stuff. OH I just loved these two, what a fantastic job they do!

8698382699_c26f136845_z.jpg

We had been talking for kind of long so the character attendant was kind of trying to corrall us into taking the photo which I did not appreciate. Phillip and Aurora didn't miss a beat though, they just kept on talking! Seriously, they were going and going and I really think they would make a great improv team. Well, obviously they already do, but I mean... if they joined a comedy theater they would be wonderful at it! It was so lovely to meet them and I'm so glad I stopped by!

8699506142_b9b9441327_z.jpg

I was actually never thrilled by Sleeping Beauty as a child - I appreciate it much more now, especially because of the advances in animation that it shows. However, I have a new love for it after meeting Phillip and Aurora in person! I think it's stupid that this movie is not at all represented in the parks. Even though it's not my favorite, it deserves some credit! Sheesh.

I headed back through Regular Fantasyland and to Liberty Square for the parade! I sat in the exact same spot as the previous night - it's my secret special spot!

I didn't take any photos of the parade because I was taking video of my favorite moments. You will see that in my Video Diary from this night. I'm not going to go through how much I love the parade again, since you all saw that in updates from the previous night! So I will just say that the parade was OBVIOUSLY PERFECT AGAIN and I was just so ridiculously happy and loving EVERY SECOND OF IT!

Up Next: Further exploration of New Fantasyland!!!

Day 6, Part 8 In Which I Enjoy My Legs

It was time to get back to NEW FANTASYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE SECOND Boo To You ended, I hightailed it on outta there and headed back Under the Sea!

I had to go right to Ariel's Grotto. The last time I met her, it was in her old grotto when I was 12 years old. She is my favorite princess besides Rapunzel, and has been my whole life, so I was VERY VERY EXCITED TO MEET HER! Adding this to the overall excitement of getting to do it in NEW FANTASYLAND was just ridiculous. I could not believe how well this night was going!

Her queue was amazing. Not as full of stuff as the ride queue, but it had more subtle details!

Right away, I spotted this Hidden Mickey:

8696781275_20d9ba0e79_z.jpg

AHH. I can't tell you how exciting it was to find my first Hidden Mickey in New Fantasyland, and without any guide or hints too. YAY!

You know how much I love Disney lighting. The lamps in here were no exception!

8696781143_6e4056450f_z.jpg

8696780719_3c8c6c6244_z.jpg

There was a girl around my age who was in this queue with her boyfriend. She was SO excited to meet Ariel and he was just like, why are we even doing this? Ugh. END YOUR RELATIONSHIP GIRL.

hahaha Kidding. Kind of? Sorry but if you can't appreciate my love for Disney there is no point in even going forward! He kept complaining about the wait, meanwhile we hardly even stood still for long! It was moving quickly, especially when you consider she is one of the most popular characters and this was a NEW M&G at NEW FANTASYLAND! Ugh. No one wants to hear you dude. If that was me, which it would never be because I refuse to have a boyfriend who doesn't love Disney, I would tell him to just get out of line and do his own thing while I wait. I don't know why couples are so focused on doing every single thing as a couple. I mean, I know spending time together is important, but if you want to do something else, alone time can be very valuable too!

Just some romance advice from a single girl who does a lot of observing. LOL.

Anyway, Disney is in the details, so here are a couple more great ones from this queue.

8696781019_b7fd33a37e_z.jpg

8697903386_326a2d2aed_z.jpg

Ariel is sectioned off in a special room that you cannot see from the line. A CM stands at the entrance and tells people when they can go in. The guy who was there that night was great.

He immediately addressed me as Boss and was very serious about it! He was talking to me exactly how he would talk to his boss Mickey Mouse. He was asking me how everything in the park was running, if I was satisfied with how things were going, if I was here to check up on him and Ariel, etc. It was so funny! Maybe that guy does entertainment too because if not he really could. It was so fun to talk to him and act as Mickey. I told him I was very pleased with how the party was going, and that I was just coming through New Fantasyland to make sure everything was running correctly! The CM said, "I hope we can make you proud!" AND IT WAS SO CUTE. Ahh, I love Cast Members so much.

SO THEN I MET ARIEL OMG.

Okay.

I do not even know how to describe the perfection of this girl.

You have no. Idea. I have never seen a more accurate Princess friend. It's not even that she looked exactly like Ariel in her face, it was her spirit and attitude.

She was Ariel. It's that simple.

I seriously felt like as soon as I walked into that room I was thrown into the movie and I was sitting there talking to Ariel in the film. It was CRAZY. THIS GIRL WAS AMAZING.

As soon as I walked in she completely lost it over my costume. She was SO EXCITED and happy and bouncy. She was exactly like in the movie when she finds a new whosit or whatsit. She was like "OOOoooooohhh my God! I have never seen anything so SPARKLY in my ENTIRE LIFE! Come sit by me!! I have to look at your EYES!!!! Oh my GOODNESS!! Have you ever seen anything so beautiful and sparkly?! Oh wow!!!"

8699506374_dc7e26b360_z.jpg

One of the things I love about Ariel is she actually acts like a teenager. So many of the princesses are supposed to be so regal and well spoken and stuff but Ariel is more fun and normal. Same with Rapunzel.

8696780593_c2e7b307cb_z.jpg

Ariel also said that she loved my "white shells" which were the buttons on my shorts. She and I then compared all of our sparklyness. She was VERY VERY sparkly as well. We then decided we were the "Sparkle Twins" and she asked me if I was enjoying my legs. I said yes, but that it would be really cool to have a fin too. I told her I always wanted to be a mermaid. She was like, "Oooohh My Gosh! You know what? I'm the opposite! I always wanted to have legs! Oh, that's so funny!" I told her having legs was great but I love the ocean and I wish I had a fin. She said, "Oh I knoow love my fin too!!! You know, I could ask my Daddy to make you a fin. Would you like that? We could switch for the night and you could visit Atlantica and I could visit your kingdom! Ohhhh that is going to be SO FUN!"

8699505944_24a6616ab8_z.jpg

This whole time she was bopping around and flipping her fin up and down and she literally MOVED LIKE THE ANIMATION FROM THE FILM. I don't even know. What a talented person. I was pretty much in awe of her. I can not even tell you how overwhelmed I was!

8699428600_0c576ba42f_z.jpg

8699506508_8e8d86a45e_z.jpg

8698383503_9f269bb7c1_z.jpg

IT WAS PERFECT. I was seriously just bowled over with how perfect everything that happened was. I couldn't even believe it!

As much as I was dying to get over to Belle's Village, I had to go on the Under the Sea ride again. It was a walk on and I was dying to see it a second time! I was able to take in more details, but I was still so completely overwhelmed.

A lot of people have criticisms of this ride, which I will now address. Since they already have clamshell vehicles in a dark ride (Nemo), I do think they could have thought of something else. My personal idea is that they could have instead made it into the kind of shell that Ursula has around her neck. The back of the vehicle could look just like that and the front could be open for seating. If they didn't want to do that cause it's Villain-associated they could have done another type of shell. I mean, it's no big deal, but I think it's odd that they repeated themselves exactly for this element of the ride.

It is true that Ariel looks a bit weird/off in some scenes. It doesn't bother me very much though. It's an audio-animatronic based on an animated character who is also supposed to look real. It's a lot easier for them to make the likenesses perfect on the AAs of 100% real, non-animated people like in The Hall of Presidents and The Great Movie Ride. Making something that is supposed to look cartoonish but also look real must be a great challenge. The Ursula AA is perfect, because something like Ursula does not exist, do you get what I'm saying? Like, Ursula's AA just has to look like her animation. Ariel's AA has to look like her animation PLUS a real human (or at least half-human) teenage girl. So of course it is not going to look like a perfect face character/princess friend right in front of your eyes. I don't know if that made sense, it's really hard to explain.

The one section I think can be improved is "Under The Sea". For the most part I think they did an awesome job here - I love that they have so many of all the little fish and sea creatures that are featured during that song in the movie. As you go through you recognize each creature from the movie, and it's awesome. They definitely did that part PERFECTLY. But overall I think that room looks a little... empty? I don't know how to describe it. Like maybe they could fill in the backdrop a little bit more or make it look more like they're in the ocean? I really don't know HOW to do this. I'm not saying I'm a genius who knows what the solution to this is, but some Imagineer most certainly is. I just think they could make it look a little better. However, this is me being extremely critical only because Disney is consistently the best thing in the world, so when one little piece of something isn't mind bogglingly perfect, I question it a little. So to sum up: This ride is wonderful, parts of it are completely remarkable, and a couple parts of it could be improved too. It doesn't even matter in the end, I LOVE IT and I could not believe that I started this trip thinking I probably wouldn't even get to see New Fantasyland, and here I was riding this ride twice in one night with no wait! AHH!

It was finally time to head over to the Beauty and the Beast area. Ahhh I can hear the theme now.

8699428212_6886b940b6_z.jpg

This part of New Fantasyland is more about the atmosphere whereas the Mermaid part is more about hitting the castle/ride and the grotto. I see myself spending many many days and nights just wandering around or relaxing here, while in the Mermaid area there is nowhere to really hang out. Or at least then there wasn't, because there was just the attractions on the left and then the wall that blocked where they are building the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. I am really interested to see how they will make the transition from Ariel's world to that of the dwarfs' over there.

I tried to visit Beast's Castle, but I could only walk up so far because Be Our Guest was totally not open. Luckily, the next night I got to go inside! I edited that footage into my Video Diary from this night though (movie magic!), so you'll get to see it soon.

I walked around plenty just taking in everything and enjoying life, and then I circled back to Gaston's Tavern, because I was dying to to try LeFou's Brew!!

8698304213_fa0e47a6d0_z.jpg

Before ordering, I looked around inside the Tavern. Again, they did a great job of making you feel like you are stepping into the real Tavern from the movie.

No one plots like Gaston, takes cheap shots like Gaston! Plans to persecute harmless crackpots like Gaston!!

8698304005_4c0308f043_z.jpg

I really wanted to sit in Gaston's huge chair, but unfortunately it was occupied. Next time!

8698303717_062a04ebab_z.jpg

I went and got my LeFou's Brew next. The CM at the counter said, "Gaston is in the back and he wanted me to tell you that you're beautiful." HAH. Sorry Gaston, I can't marry you! I love Eugene!

8699427126_8d7fa9ae19_z.jpg

Of course I had to get the Belle cup. $10! LOL. Whatever. At the time I thought it was a pretty crappy cup, like waaay cheaper quality than most of the stuff they sell, and that they could do better for $10, but it's been 6 months and I use it semi-frequently and it hasn't cracked or anything yet. It's technically $5.50 since the Brew alone is $4.50, so I think it's a cute souvenir!

So THEN I TOOK A SIP.

Call me Maurice and throw me in the loony bin, THIS DRINK IS THE MOST DELICIOUS THING IN ALL THE LAND!!!!!!!!

Oh MY GOD how I love it. I crave this ALL the time. I can't even tell you. Nothing comes close to it and as soon as I visit the Magic Kingdom during #BirthdayFestivus13, I am going to get one of these!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!

If you don't know, Lefou's Brew is: Frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow and topped with all-natural passion fruit-mango foam.

I LOVE THAT FOAM. Oh my God. I love apple juice in general but I rarely drink it bc of the sugar. The toasted marshmallow and mango foam takes this drink to the next level. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! YUUUUUUUUUUUUM!

Day 6, Part 9 In Which I'm Enchanted

It was nearing closing time and I knew I had to get over to Belle's house for Enchanted Tales With Belle, so I took my LeFou's Brew along with me and hid it in my Trick or Treat bag! Good thing I had been eating my candy all night as I collected it or else there would have been no room in there!

8699426550_4f32f6f60a_z.jpg

Again, it's just remarkable how much this whole area makes you feel like you are walking though the movie. It's so weird to have watched a film dozens and dozens of times over 20+ years and then be.... IN IT.

I walked through the entire empty queue with no wait, and got to go right into the house! Oh my God, I felt so lucky.

Belle & Maurice's house is so cute!

8698301825_352718eafe_z.jpg

8699426366_5eb885312e_z.jpg

Omg, that portrait. You know, at first when I saw it I thought they were implying that Belle had a baby with the Beast (Human Prince version of course.. LOL) since the events of the movie. But then it hit me: DUH. THAT'S BELLE'S MOTHER.

8699425920_a2f0e6e617_z.jpg

I had tears in my eyes anyway, but whew. That sent me over the edge!

Did you know that Belle's favorite fairytale is Sleeping Beauty?

8698302497_a297071cd4_z.jpg

It is laid out on the table in French. I actually knew what some of it said due to my very productive 1 year of French classes in 8th grade. LOL.

Now... before I get into this OVERWHELMING AND EXTREMELY FLAWLESS EXPERIENCE, let me say that I had no idea AT ALL what I was getting into. I thought that this attraction was literally Belle reading a story to us in her house. Seriously. That's it.

If you aren't aware of what this attraction really is, I strongly suggest skipping this part (GMF, this means YOU!!!). The surprise nature of all of this made it one of the most exciting experiences of my whole entire life. I can't even tell you how different it would have been had I known what was coming.

I warned you!

A CM came out while we were in the room and started talking to us a little about Belle. After that, we moved into Maurice's workshop where we saw lots of his inventions!

8698301417_4f1b961417_z.jpg

He was in the process of carving Belle and the Beast.

8698301269_27aa6ff2e3_z.jpg

8698301059_b6b3764c67_z.jpg

The main attraction in this room is the magic mirror given to Maurice by the Beast after Belle moved in with him. He wanted Maurice to have this so that he could always look into it and see his daughter. HOW SWEET.

8698301633_e25c898301_z.jpg

What happened next... whew.

How do I even begin to explain this?

The mirror sparkled and OPENED UP AND BECAME A WALKWAY INTO THE CASTLE.

It was like what I was seeing before my eyes wasn't even real.

Then, we time traveled back to the day Belle and the Beast fell in love!

Oh... OKAY.

I don't even know.

I was shell-shocked.

It was unbelievable.

We walked into the next room and saw the Wardrobe!

8699424492_eef04c6584_z.jpg

This was another thing I just had no idea how they pulled off. She was talking to us and it was literally real. I don't even know how they did this effect. Her face wasn't a screen or anything, it was real, and she was really moving and talking. I was just standing there in disbelief again.

8698300613_d790b0254c_z.jpg

A different CM was in there and said that we were going to be putting on a show for Belle.

WAIT WHAT?!

I thought she was going to read us a story! I immediately was just like OMG, what is this going to be like?

The CM said he was going to be giving out roles and asked who would like to be in the show. I really wanted to be a part of this but there were so many children and I felt like I should give them the chance to do it so I didn't say anything. The CM reached into the wardrobe and pulled out a bunch of large cardboard cutouts of objects and characters, assigning them to various kids.
He pulled out an enchanted portrait and handed it directly to ME!!!!!!!!!

OMG.

I couldn't believe I was picked! I was literally standing back not saying a word, just watching, as a bunch of kids were like "ME! ME!"

It was so awesome.

I LOVE THAT CAST MEMBER. He made my night.

We then moved into the next room which was the LIBRARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! k;KLFJGFK;SDKZJVN,,VMNEIA;LFKDFJNVBD.

Lumiere was in there, and he greeted us and told us about what would be going on. I can't remember this part that well so I don't remember how they explained it. My head was spinning, I don't even know.

Eventually, Belle came in wearing her yellow dress. She was beautiful! I thought she acted a little too... princessy, though. I know it's like, duh, she's a princess, she's supposed to act princessy. But... not really with her in particular. Belle is very different from every other princess. She is very down to earth and she isn't all "Oh, lovely! Won't this be so wonderful!" all the time like the other princesses are, you know? She's like smart and skeptical and didn't grow up with wealth... I don't know. I'm being overly critical here. She's probably one of the hardest princesses to get right. But I still enjoyed her SO much!

Lumiere starts getting into the story of Belle's life and then we all moved around the room and played our certain parts when prompted. Everyone not involved in the show sits on benches and watches.

It was SO MUCH FUN! I am so glad I got picked.

8699893108_16b56915e8_z.jpg

At first I was like... HOW are they going to coordinate this whole show with all these little kids and make it work in this short amount of time? The CMs were AMAZING though! They totally pulled it off!

8698771747_8b75ec6b81_z.jpg

My turn!!!! :D

8698771063_5dee2b0a51_z.jpg

You have to understand, all of this came as the biggest shock to me... just that it was even happening, so I was seriously in Disney la la land. I could not believe my eyes.

They had picked a little boy to play the Beast and they put a red cape on him. HE WAS SO CUTE. They told him to act scary because this was the part where the Beast is mean to Belle in the beginning before they fall in love.

8699893398_ae6728bedd_z.jpg

He played his part well! He was awestruck around Belle though and it was so precious. They played the Beauty and the Beast song and Belle danced with him.

8698770971_aa0f637d66_z.jpg

Taking a bow!

8698771349_89fd64a902_z.jpg

You could tell this made this kid's LIFE. I can't even explain how special it all was for everyone involved. Oh my God, it was beautiful. I was so happy to share in the experience with everyone!

8699892680_90f6e347a1_z.jpg

AMAZING.

At the end of the show, everyone who was picked to play a role gets a meet and greet with Belle that they give you an Enchanted Tales With Belle PhotoPass card for when you walk out.

This is the little girl who went before me. SO PRECIOUS.

8698300169_742ba3a816_z.jpg

All the children were just completely in awe as well. I can't even explain it. There was truly magic in the room for all of us! I don't think ANYONE was expecting what happened. It was such a unique experience!

Belle and The Beast!

8698771207_661f24af0c_z.jpg

Can you get over this? BECAUSE IT'S BEEN 6 MONTHS AND I CAN'T.

Then I went up!! She was very sweet. She told me I looked beautiful tonight and I told her she looked beautiful too! She gave me a bookmark, which was a really nice touch.

8698772031_db48a9a6d0_z.jpg

OH MY GOD IT WAS JUST THE BEST.

8699892836_7a869dec2d_z.jpg

Overall, this attraction is completely remarkable. Ariel's ride is fantastic too, but it is your classic Disney dark ride. It is to be expected. Enchanted Tales With Belle is unlike anything that has come before it at Disney World. I can not think of anything more immersive than getting to walk through, room after room representing the movie, magic happening all around you, and then getting to perform the story yourself for Belle. I was absolutely stunned by the whole experience, and I will never ever forget it! As excited as I am to see this attraction again, I know it is never going to be as good as that first time. All of it was so unexpected and just absolutely perfect. If I waved a magic wand, I could not have made it more magical. I swear, it was the best cap to one of the most amazing nights of my life!

Up Next: ANOTHER ENCOUNTER WITH EUGENE?!?!!?!?!?! (Kind of). Keep goin'!!!!!!!!!

OCTOBER 26, 2012
Day 6, Part 10 In Which I Get One Last Surprise

I left Enchanted Tales With Belle just feeling so ridiculously lucky, happy, and content.

I NEVER could have predicted the magic of this night. I can't believe I ever considered NOT going to MNSSHP for a second time.

I walked out to Regular Fantasyland, and the park was DESERTED! I got in line for Enchanted Tales at like 11:55, and the attraction is fairly long, so everyone had pretty much emptied the various lands by then!

8618509998_85ba762845_z.jpg

I've lingered in empty parks after closing plenty, but there was something very special about doing it at MNSSHP. Just the whole vibe of the night, plus there being no one around, plus the spooky music playing and light effects... it was unreal!

8563372123_469510fa18_z.jpg

I walked around just reveling in my joy. Seriously, I can't even describe the level of euphoria going on here. You know how some addicts do such ridiculous amounts of hard drugs that they just pass out into oblivion? The sensation is so intoxicating that it's like being in another world. I was about .4 seconds away from that. Some people do drugs, some people drink...... I OD ON DISNEY.

I then skipped down Main Street, which I believe is essential.

I was sad to leave. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party is just too perfect. I am completely in love with it.

:D

Bye bye, Magic Kingdom! See ya REAL soon.

8706939541_4a54c6c84b_z.jpg

For some reason I wanted to take a picture of me drinking Lefou's Brew. I look crazy.

8706939377_f5d97130c2_z.jpg

CAUSE I AM. Seriously though you know how like 90% of men require beer for every occasion? I would be that way with Lefou's Brew if they sold it in six packs at the gas station. Why don't they, again?

What happened next was so freaking funny that it leads me to believe that God is watching mainly just so he can pull pranks on us at the right time for his own personal entertainment.

I got in the bus line for All Star Movies, which was deserted. There was almost no one around.

Then, a really cute guy got into the bus line too. He was alone and not wearing a costume. I wondered if he had come to MNSSHP alone too, and despite the lack of a costume, I also wondered if he was possibly my soulmate. I mean, I need a guy that would go to MNSSHP alone. This is the kind of guy that I need who also does not exist.

Because this guy had not come to MNSSHP *alone*.

He had come with Eugene Fitzherbert.

He is Eugene's friend.

I died laughing. I don't even know.

Of course I would be alone on the bus with a friend of Eugene's. It was not the same friend of Eugene's I met earlier, he was a spare friend. You can never have too many friends, you know? ;)

I have no idea why he was on a bus to All Star Movies. We chatted briefly but I didn't ask him that. He was so sweet and polite and cute.

I also have no idea why he didn't ask me to marry him. But you know, I'm used to it. *Foreveralone.jpg*

It was just TOO FUNNY. Of course I had obsessed over meeting Eugene and I would run into his friend. It was a fitting end to a ridiculously amazing night. I can not even describe how absurdly wondrous the entire evening was. Oh my God.

Too much.

I was beat. WHEW. It was like after 1:00 AM by the time we got back to the resort and went our separate ways. Tell Eugene I said hi, dude!

It didn't come out that well, but I took a picture of my shadow entering Andy's room.

8706939265_75b6935051_z.jpg

I love it.

It was so cool seeing Andy's Room all lit up at night! I CAN'T BELIEVE I AM CURRENTLY LIVING HERE was my thought.

Then, I headed up to my room while drinking Lefou's Brew, feasting on candy, and watching Stacey. A perfect end to a perfect day!

And guess what? You get to SEE (parts of) how wonderful it really was! I took a video diary! 24 MINUTES OF DISNEY HALLOWEEN GOODNESS. Yeah, it's actually longer than your average sitcom. So it's like a full episode of my life at this party. I LOVE IT.

LIA'S MICKEY'S NOT SO SCARY VIDEO DIARY IS NOW LIVE!

Whew. Yes, it was a very devastating experience!!! Thank God I got to meet him the next night!

What a wonderful choice of a middle name. I think I will name my son Eugene Flynn or Flynn Eugene. Ahh, how perfect.

Hanson stalks me. No one understands the severity of this! I would place restraining orders against them but they just have such nice hair and I enjoy that.

YES. I am honestly just waiting for the official announcement that Eugene & Rapunzel are going to greet together over there, because how could they not do it? Then again, if Eric isn't available at his own castle, who even knows.

That would be magical!! pixiedust:

YES IT IS GOING TO BE SO BEYOND CRAZY. :D AHH I can't wait. Well have a wonderful and safe trip yourself! (:

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE NEW FANTASYLAND!!!!! I got to experience it in November and HOLY CRAP. I had no words. IT IS JUST SO BEAUTIFUL.

The queue for Ariel is INCREDIBLE. So many details AHHH.

Sleeping Beauty has like no representation in the parks. I might be wrong, but aren’t they adding a whole Sleeping Beauty float for the new parade in MK? At least that’s something…

LeFou’s Brew is AMAZING, except I had it on the coldest night of the year (seemed like that anyways) in Florida and I just couldn’t finish it because I was turning into an ice cube. I think it would be great on a hot summer day. I JUST CAN’T WAIT TO HAVE IT AGAIN!

The mirror IS LIKE THE COOLEST THING EVAH. That is Imagineering at its best.

Seriously, Enchanted Tales with Belle is… there aren’t words that can describe its amazingness. UGH it was so cool seeing the show and I got to be a part of it. One of the coolest things Disney has ever done, hands down.

Ok, um, THAT VIDEO WAS ALL KINDS OF PERFECTION. You did such a good job on it and I LOVED IT. You seemed SO happy and it was so cool to see everything through your eyes for 24 minutes. NOW I WANT TO WATCH IT AGAIN.

OMG I am SOOOOO jealous that your doing the overnight thing. I was at Disneyland last year for One More Disney Day. It was INSANE!!! Crazy crowded, but such a cool memory. You... will... love... it.

When I was there last week I always had Stacey on when I was in the room."Two new castles... TWO!!!!" It reminded of the DIS.

What more to say about the Eugene meet other than I am your dreams came true.
Plus, once you accomplish your "Must Do Disney" item, everything else just becomes even more perfect.

Ah New Fantasyland. I totally got in to it in it's first soft opening on October 12. I was so excited too, mostly because it was so unexpected.

I agree that A) the LM queue is spectacular and B) the transition from land to sea on the ride is amazing.

I have to admit the Lefou's Brew is so much better than I thought it would be.

What a great MNSSHP. I loved the video. So great. You are adorable. That is all.

I LOL'd so hard at your encounter with Eugene's friend! How did that even come up in conversation?? Being friends with Eugene, I mean...

I am loving the report and the video was BEYOND AH MAY ZING! Looking forward to more.

Yay, I'm glad you got to experience it early on as well!

I don't know. I haven't read much about that parade. I want to be surprised when I see it! I'm very excited they're gonna have a new one!

It got sooooooo cold on my trip too, I know what you mean! Being from up north you don't expect FL to be so cold in October/November but it definitely was!

I agree. The whole attraction is Imagineering at its best in my opinion. I'm so happy they went beyond the norm to create that attraction!

Thank you SO much! I'm glad you liked it. I was ridiculously happy so I'm glad that shined through!

I'M SO EXCITED FOR THAT! I heard the crowds in WDW were not as bad as DL's on leap day so I hope it won't be THAT bad... but I don't even care when it comes down to it.

OMG I am so excited to see Stacey's new footage!!!!

That is so true! After that dream came true I was just in the best mood ever. Hopefully Eugene will come to the 24 hour event so I can see him again!

That's awesome!! I know what you mean about it being so unexpected. I was shocked!

Thank you!!! Glad you enjoyed it.

I LOL'd so hard at your encounter with Eugene's friend! How did that even come up in conversation?? Being friends with Eugene, I mean...

When he was talking to me I noticed that he had something that said "Flynn Rider" on it and I was like I LOVE FLYNN RIDER/EUGENE and then he told me about his friend.

I am loving the report and the video was BEYOND AH MAY ZING! Looking forward to more.

Thank you so much!!! :D

Wow, I don't know how I got so many chapters behind, but let's see if I can make my comments without having this be the longest post ever.

One of my favorite things about WDW is that no matter how old you are, or how long it has been since your first trip, there are things that you see/hear/smell that bring all of those memories from your childhood trips back to the surface, and it's like no time has passed at all.

I knew how the meeting Eugene thing eventually resolved itself, but I was seriously so upset for you while all that was happening and while reading through your update about it - being so excited and then literally walking into an empty room with absolutely no answers. Ugh.

I am terrible on Buzz too - like, legit awful, even when I try. I've heard Disneyland's version is MUCH better than WDW, so maybe I won't suck so badly on the West coast.

I have so many comments about MNSSHP, but basically I agree with every point you make. And it drives me CRAZY when I have friends who are there in the fall, but skip out on going because they think based on the name that it's just full of kid stuff. No, it's full of awesome, thank you very much.

That Toy Story section is freaking awesome. ASMovies is one of the resorts I've never been to, but I'm sure we'll stay there eventually!

So excited that you're stretching out your trip for the 24 hour day! Going down last year for Leap Day was one of the best spur-of-the-moment decisions I've ever made and truly one of my best days in Disney EVER. Watching the sun rise in the Magic Kingdom TWICE in one day at Disney? Priceless. If you have any questions about the experience, let me know!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY MEETING EUGENE!!!! There really aren't any words to adequately describe the excitement of that situation, so I'm just going to leave it at that, haha.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY NEW FANTASYLAND!!!! (See above comment.)

My husband doesn't share my level of love and excitement over anything and everything Disney, but he at least knows enough never to say "What are we even doing here?" or anything remotely like that when we're in WDW, hahaha. To steal his tweet from the end of our first day in the parks this year: "It's been a long day. Totally worth it to see my wife happy." Yep, he's a keeper.

Again, it's just remarkable how much this whole area makes you feel like you are walking though the movie. It's so weird to have watched a film dozens and dozens of times over 20+ years and then be.... IN IT.
Yes yes yes. I still can't get over that with the BatB and LM areas in New Fantasyland. I will probably cry when I get to walk into the Tangled area.
