OH The Horror! Scary Clowns, Haunted Houses, Scare Zones, Monsters, Pumpkins, Crooked Cats, Creepy Bears, Shopping, Dining and more….My HHN 34 Trip

I had never really stopped and looked at the Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop menu before.
IMG_6530.jpeg

The prices are really reasonable.
IMG_6531.jpeg

Then it was on to ride The High in the sky Trolley.

There is usually two options for this ride. You can take the inside Trolley or the Outside Trolley. The inside Trolley takes you inside the Circus McGurkus Cafe and the outside Trolley takes you on the outer loop. The inside Trolley loop was closed so the outside loop was only available.
IMG_6533.jpeg

After we were done with the High in the Sky Trolley we walked through the shop and they had what is usually the big pink Lard Lad donut made up for Halloween except with white frosting and Halloween sprinkles.
IMG_6534.jpeg

There were cute little Seuss books on these cupcakes.
IMG_6535.jpeg

IMG_6536.jpeg

They were in the Halloween spirit here with the Siderweb apples and Candy Corn apples.

Robo, I admit I always hurried past the Dr Seus land area. It looks really cute in these pictures and I think I will make sure to stop and see all that is there the next time. Nice Pictures:)
For years I did the same Ruth. I really have come to appreciate Dr. Seuss Landing more as the years have gone by.

So glad you are enjoying the pictures.

Oddly enough, the wettest we got in the wet path was the one night it just poured and we already had ponchos on. We must’ve hit it just right (wrong) lol.

The other nights, we just sort of ducked and covered as we hurried through lol
The day we did our UMH Tour the workers were in the Terrifier House working on the massive water tank that was providing the water to the wet side. Wonder if they have been adjusting the flow over time.

It was nice to see you and your sister. I still remember how hot & sticky it was that night!
It was nice to see you all too.

It was pretty warm for sure. I have to admit I was just glad to be able to walk out after the night was over.

Looks like a very nice pool day! These old commandos took our very 1st non park/pool day this past trip. Was such a welcome break and new experience to just lull around the resort, then not feel rushed/too tired to enjoy a nice dinner.
It is nice to set aside time to relax on vacation. I’am a work in progress on that still.

Appreciate you including the photos of the lights’ on tour, nice to be able to see the detail you can’t really catch during regular hours.
Your welcome. Glad to hear you enjoyed the lights on photos of 6 of the houses. It does give some appreciation to the overall designs of the houses that you can not see at night.

After Seuss Landing we headed into the Lost Continent.

My sister K was a good sport and posed by the Griffin for a photo. We were both wilting at this point.

IMG_6539.jpeg

Never can walk through the Lost Continent without a photo outside of Mytho’s.

The Trident has been such an integral part of the entrance to the Lost Continent and Poseidon’s Fury over the years. It will be interesting to see to what they do with this area in the future.

I have never tried the food at the Fire Eaters Grille. My sister reminded me that we have said that we would try it at sometime so it was now of never.
IMG_6551.jpeg

This was extra Tzatziki and pita.
IMG_6546.jpeg

We shared the Gyro and the hummus and veggies. The gyro meat was good.
IMG_6547.jpeg

They have a small courtyard to set and enjoy your food to the right of Fire Eaters Grille.

Next up was a visit to The All Hallows Eve Boutique. I always make sure to stop by and have a look around here.

They pack more merch and design in this small space then I have ever seen in any other store and they do it well.

They always keep the Halloween decor throughout the year in here, but they have also started adding designs from other events to this shop during the year, but now it’s Halloween.
IMG_6552.jpeg

IMG_6553.jpeg

They had a Gargoyle front and center in the decor once you entered the store in a nod I’am sure to this years theme for HHN,.
IMG_6555.jpeg

This Terrifier shirt was really creepy and the store associate said they were made for the Premium Scream night they had.
IMG_6556.jpeg

I love the various carved pumpkin designs.
IMG_6559.jpeg

They had Lil Boo light up ornamanets.
IMG_6560.jpeg

And pins
IMG_6561.jpeg

My sister K did buy one of the these Lil Boo backpacks.
IMG_6562.jpeg

They had the stain glass designed Gargoyle window table stand or wall hanging. It is not really stained glass, but designed to look like it.

The various characters that go in the windows are sold separately.
IMG_6563.jpeg

They also had this display about the weekly magnet release option.
IMG_6564.jpeg

IMG_6565.jpeg

This years HHN coffee mug.
IMG_6566.jpeg

They have a wonderful selection of Halloween T-shirts for purchase in the boutique which you won’t find anywhere else.
IMG_6567.jpeg

IMG_6568.jpeg

These flasks were new here. These are the Erlenmeyer Skull Flasks they sell in Darkmoor in Dark Universe

I like these stacked pumpkins in the corner of the store.

They have awesome painted decor on the walls.

IMG_6609.jpeg

IMG_6606.jpeg

Funny thing is I could see enough merch in here to throw together an awesome Halloween gift basket with some slippers, a robe, coffee, a candle and a keepsake print or T-shirt. It would be the ultimate gift basket for anyone who loves Halloween. I’am sure someone would be thrilled to get such a unique gift.

The boutique has such an awesome Halloween vibe. If you have not been there stop by and walk around you will love it.

After we were done in the boutique we walked over to Hogsmeade.
IMG_6616.jpeg
It was very busy as you can see.

We got in the Express line for Hagrid’s Motorbike coaster and it took us about 25 minutes. I had been on this coaster only once before and I thought it was wicked, but I had forgotten how truly wicked it was.

I’am the one who talked my sister into going it. I swear I had the imprint of the motorcycle handle bars on the palms of my hands when I got off the ride…..I was holding on for dear life. I had forgotten how the coaster went backwards and then dropped down to another track with a sudden jolt before taking off forwards again.

I’am thankful my back survived this ride. I just need to remember not to do this ride again. I think I have reached the stage were this one is off limits to me in the future.
IMG_6617.jpeg

You could tell by the sky that something was brewing as far as the weather was concerned.
IMG_6618.jpeg

I was wondering if we would be able to complete the loop of the park without another good rain. No matter we did remember to bring our ponchos.

A quick photo of Hogwarts Castle as we were crossing the bridge.
IMG_6619.jpeg

Then onward to ride Jurassic Park River Adventure. We put our ponchos on and walked right on with Express.

We were seated in the fourth row. I knew we would get good and wet without the ponchos. A couple who were sitting to the left me were going to be surprised…

This is such a fun ride.

Needless to say there was a nice wall of water on the final decent and I was glad to have the poncho on. The couple to the left of me were drenched, but laughing it off.

Now it was onto Skull Island. The Express wait on this ride was almost 30 minutes. I’am sorry, but this ride is not worth a 30 minute wait …..I should preface that with the fact that I have been on this ride many times before.

They did take the 3D glasses away a while back and that is ok with me as I always took them off to see Kong in all his glory at the end of the ride from the get go.

The ride seemed to rock from side to side a little more today……LOL….oh my poor back.
IMG_6620.jpeg

We continued on and walked into Tune Lagoon. We stopped on the bridge to have a look at the fearless soon to be drenched souls as they plummeted to the bottom of Dudley Doo-Rights Ripshaw Falls.

IMG_6621.jpeg

We did go into the AP Lounge for a look around and a little AC.
IMG_6622.jpeg

IMG_6623.jpeg

IMG_6624.jpeg

There are some nice seats to take a rest in the lounge.
IMG_6625.jpeg

IMG_6626.jpeg

IMG_6627.jpeg

We were hot and tired and ready to head back to the Resort.

We stopped back in Christmas store for my sister to look at a couple more things.
IMG_6628.jpeg

Then it was onto the Water Taxi.

The boat loaded up with folks heading back for a respite from the park.

We had no sooner pulled away from the dock and just started under the bridge that leads to US when heavens opened up and it poured. I was sitting close to the side of the boat and had to pull out my rain poncho again as the rain was blowing in the boat.

The hard rain did not last long. It was just a gentle rain when we reached the dock at Portofino.

We headed to the room for some comforting airconditioning and showers.

I was ready for a quick rest before dinner.

Just wanted to share with those staying at Portofino that they were doing a tasting in the afternoon everyday in the Lobby of different foods. If I remember correctly it was between 2 and 4 pm. They also had an unusual orange drink as well as ice water in the lobby everyday. We only stopped by a couple of times, but it was nice.
IMG_6630.jpeg

We went down for a light dinner after a little rest and then it was back to the room and a little TV before calling our hubby’s to let them know about the events of the day.

Needless to say I was out before my head hit the pillow as my sister likes to say. Again she says that is one of my super powers.

More to come
