Tower of Terror is my home away from home, it was great to see someone who loves it as much as I do. I loved seeing all of the ToT queue pictures, I just adore the atmosphere there! That's too funny...I guess I should have figured Hanson would stay at the Poly! For some reason I thought they might stay at the GF. How flippin' adorable would it be if Taylor reenacted the scene from Full House in the GF lobby playing the piano?! I was just posting about the 2 nights seeing Hanson at Epcot on my TR and people thought I was nuts because I recognized their family members, I can only imagine what they would think if Hanson actually recognized me!! That is pretty amazing though. Other Hanson fans can appreciate things like this, outsiders cannot.

I haven't stalked them! Even when I was like 14, I'd hang out by the bus and that was it. A lot of fans actually stalk them and it is no bueno, which is why I try hard to not be associated with that group. Hanson "just happens" to be in the same place I am quite often! Clearly they had some kind of GPS installed in my arm while I was asleep or something. I'M ONTO YOU, HANSON.

In 2008 Taylor told me they were at the Beach Club and that they had also stayed there before, so I guess they like to try different resorts! That or the crazies found out they like the Beach Club so they had to move.

OMG Don't even mention Taylor doing that scene from Full House, I'll freak out! WHEW. It's too much with John Stamos doing that as it is.

You're not nuts. It's annoying when people can't distinguish between creepy fans who stalk the family VS fans who are just aware of who the family is. If you go to a million shows of course you're going to recognize the people who are always around! I mean, Hanson puts them in TV and magazines, it's not exactly a secret.

I'm gonna have to check out those updates of yours!

Day 1, Part 11 In Which The Royal Party Dines At 'Ohana​

I feel like we didn't wait long at all, and I was totally right to check us in early... but honestly, my concept of time had depleted a little. Everything was funny. Everything was happy. Everything was good. Everything was silly. We were on another planet.

We were seated and met our cousin (aka our server, if you aren't familiar with 'Ohana speak!). I explained what happened last year (my status as Queen), just in case he was new or something, and this guy was GREAT.

He immediately started treating me like the royalty I am. He would say things like "What can I get you to drink, your majesty?" and "Your highness, I'll be right back with the bread." OH IT WAS SO FABULOUS.

He completely played along and I really appreciated that. I wish people in real life would go along with my delusions of grandeur. It just makes things easier when people are on board with your mental illness, you know?

He also brought us new leis! They were pink, which I loved because my crown was yellow and orange. I am a very colorful Queen!

We were in the back of the restaurant which is the secret VIP Queen section, FYI.

No Hansons allowed. Except Tom Hanson from 21 Jump Street, he's fine.

I could have sworn I took a picture of the best bread ever and my Pomegranate Lemonade, but I can't find it! The drink by the way, wasn't as good as I remembered... it was a little bitter! Probably just got a bad batch or something though.

Here is Lee-Anne's drink.

I can't remember what this was, some kind of (obviously) strawberry alcoholic drink. She said it was good if I remember correctly. I honestly don't know how she could have even had alcohol in this moment. Add alcohol to everything that had already happened and I would literally be just a pile of limbs on the floor.

Hula Timon was treated like royalty as well. But I mean, duh. I would have had the entire staff fired immediately if he was treated as anything less than the king of the world.

Our cousin said, "Sir, I love your outfit." to HT and I said, "He says thanks. He knows it's the best."

I speak for him because I am the only human Hula Timon communicates with. Other people sometimes think he's rude when he doesn't speak to them, so I make sure to relay messages for him sometimes. What are friends for, anyway?

I loved the entertainment! This guy was walking around playing Hawaiian songs on the guitar the whole time, and he was wonderful. Toward the end of the meal he played Somewhere Over The Rainbow and it was absolutely beautiful!

As you can see, this was Queen entertainment. No peasants allowed. That one woman you see in the photo is apparently the Queen of Cornado Springs or something. I can't really remember all the Queens but trust me, she wouldn't be allowed in the VIP section otherwise. She certainly wasn't a Hanson. Phew.

FINALLY IT WAS TIME FOR THE FOOD! Oh my God, I was so thrilled.

We got the customized Queen meal complete with NO SALAD. Becuase ew.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. SO GOOOOOOOODDDDD.

We immediately dug in. The endless laughter finally stopped so that we could adequately chew and get our food down.

Honestly, if all 'Ohana consisted of was the bread, pot stickers, and lo mein... I would still fight tooth and nail for a reservation. But the best thing in the entire world is when they come around with those giant skewers and begin providing unlimited quantites of meat!!!

It's just like... sometimes I really love the world and have such faith in humanity. The creation of 'Ohana proves that there is hope for us all. On our darkest days we must think of this little oasis at Disney's Polynesian Resort. GOD BLESS THE WORLD!

I was too busy eating to photograph all the meat. But at some point while eating the pork I remembered, so here you go!

YEAH those are vegetables on my plate in addition to the meat and noodles. I know, it's crazy. BUT snap peas are the BEST. If you want a good healthy meal, eat brown rice pasta with some kind of low calorie sauce, grilled chicken, and snap peas. Just a little tip there. I LOVE SNAP PEAS AND TAYLOR HANSON!!!!!!

Let's move on.

Our cousin continued treating us like royalty. He would come with a skewer and I would lift my plate closer to him so he wouldn't have to come around the table. He would put out his hand and say "Oh, you don't have to lift your plate!" He'd ask, "One piece or two, my Queen?"

IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE THAT MAN.

Ok so, you may want to read about my 'Ohana experience from last year if you haven't. Basically, I was so insanely full from the meal that I didn't even touch the bread pudding because I'm usually not a big fan that dessert anyway. I did, however, end up eating almost all the ice cream that was brought to the table to feed a group of six.

Oops.

Whatever. I highly regretted not trying the bread pudding, since I basically almost got kicked off the DIS for making such a horrendous mistake. I was told repeatedly that it is the best dessert ever, even by people who (like me) aren't usually big bread pudding fans.

Needless to say, I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of this dessert. I mean, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the meats and ate until I reached my Meat Maximum. That takes pretty long, in fact, I often found myself out-eating Lee-Anne by a ton on this trip. I kind of felt awkward each time she sat there as I continued to pack it in. Jess and Kristen, you guys know what I am talking about here. Not everyone can be as gifted an eater as we are and I hope Lee-Anne can accept that!

Finally... the dessert came. The arrival of this delectable specimen required multiple photos.

God help me, but I would do awful things to have this in front of me right now.

ALL THE STORIES ARE TRUE. The hype for this dessert is not exaggerated. In fact, people aren't hyping it up enough. This dessert, as Phoebe Buffay would say, is like "Santa Claus... on Prozac... at Disneyland... getting laid!!!"

Yup.

It's that good.

I find myself randomly craving this dessert all the time. Like, I'll get a taste for it and remember that I'd have to travel 1,800 miles in order to get it and my soul feels empty.

Just do it.

GET AN ADR FOR 'OHANA. At all costs.

Not only will you get a great meal, you may even run into your favorite band. We did! 2/3 of them, anyway.

It was a very happy, VERY SILLY AND GIGGLY evening at 'Ohana!

I even wanted to take a picture with our Cousin, as he was such a fantastic server.

Seriously... this guy just immediately recognized my Royal Status and treated me as so. He also addressed Hula Timon directly, and as royalty as well. He is the epitome of what Disney is all about. I said I was a Queen and therefore I am! Disney magic.

We then "paid". This is in quotations because we did not pay. WE RAN OUT OF THERE LIKE THE CRIMINALS WE ARE!!!

Just kidding, I'm royalty. They comped our meal!!!!

Nope.

What really happened is we had FREE DINING!!!

Kinda.

We got Free Quick Service dining and paid for the upgrade. But it was like nothing compared to the full price of what these meals cost. It gets crazy. I don't know how larger families do it!

Honestly, I felt like we were getting away with something when we booked our trip. Yeah, Disney's expensive but if you wait for those great deals, it helps so much!

It would have been almost $100 for our meal at 'Ohana that night, but that $100 stayed comfortably in our pockets as we got up and headed out of the restaurant.

Wellllll overeating is not necessarily something that's all that rare for me outside of Disney LOL. I mean I do pretty well but I LOVE FOOD. SO my stomach is kind of used to it. Right now I am trying to lose a couple lbs and I can not stop thinking about Sci Fi's food. GAH.

So I guess my advice to you is: OVEREAT FREQUENTLY, PREP FOR DISNEY!
