"I'M STUCK IN DISNEY!!!!!!!!" A Delightfully Unliveable TR ~ NEW TR 9/27!!!!!!!!!!!

That looks like such a great parade! Now I'm definitely going to have to go at Halloween. I haven't seen many of the American parades, but I do love Disneyland Paris's 20th anniversary parade. The song was in my head forever afterwords. I'm sorry Leanne was so burned out, but I'm not sure I understand not wanting to go on Pirates either. Oh well. Can't wait to hear about your next few days!

Ah Hallowishes. I had seen Holiday Wishes previously, so the panoramic fireworks wasn't as new to me, but it's still always sooooo amazing and goose-bumpy.

Completely agree on the lack of Jack. I don't get it either. It just makes no sense! :confused3

Boo to You is EASILY the best parade Disney has done in my humble opinion. Can't lie though.. the cowboy part was kinda sorta lost on me. :rolleyes2

I'm with you on squeezing out every last drop of Disney-ness before I leave while usually everyone else I'm with is done with it. So worry not... I completely get how you felt at MNSSHP. Like completely, as I'm sure everyone does as well.

Great MNSSHP updates! Loved your costume, and Mickey and Minnie's reaction was SO ADORABLE. :goodvibes That is the best parade - and the music!! So fabulous!

Ugh, sad to hear the end of the night was a bummer. That line and the lack of Eugene was enough to give anyone a magical meltdown! :( How perfect though that you got a do-over! :thumbsup2

I've been lurking FOR AGES and have just caught up on this trip report and your one from December 2011, so thought it was probably time to start actually posting on the DIS...

So HAI!

I completely agree with you about the boo to you parade (to the point where I can't think about the haunted mansion section much because it makes me too sad that I'm not a spade-wielding dancing disney dead person.) It is amazing x 8 at least.

But it's totally in need of more nightmare. They have an amazing horse drawn float in the Halloween parade at DLP, so I was a bit disappointed that it didn't feature in boo to you :(

WDW definitely deserves the Halloween makeover of haunted mansion! We should write a letter. In glitter. That would show them we mean business.

You are the first person, I read, that gets the whole Fronteirland part of the parade. I always took it as a salute to harvest parties and such.

Love the parade!!

Your costumes were both spectacular!

And, traveling with friends is both awesome and frustrating sometimes. I loved reading your honest feelings about the night. Thanks! T

I'm hoping desperately that we will see Eugene in your next post! Just finished watching it again with my DD (5). We LOVE the boat and lantern scene. (sigh).

Now I am so excited for Boo to You!! I cannot even wait, especially after hearing your descriptions of the whole thing! I CANNOT WAIT FOR MNSSHP!!!!

Burned out on Disney, what is that?! :) Although I do feel like you are a great friend for understanding...I don't know that I would have such will power, even though I know I would do the same thing as you out of guilt!

When we go in October, my cousin and her hubby are joining us (non Disney folk)--so they decided to skip the Halloween party since it is an extra charge, so DH and I attending before they get there...after reading your update, I think that may be for the best...I have been looking forward to a Disney party forever...so I think I need to be with someone else who "gets" it--and that would be DH! When I was explaining MNSSHP to my cousin, I don't think she understood the appeal. And that is okay...I will slowly bring Disney into their lives. lol!

I seriously cannot wait for your other party updates!! :hyper:

*puts the boo to you music on* THIS SONG IS AWESOME. Now I will have it stuck in my head… Not complainin’ though.

CHRISTOPHER ROBIN AND KANGA AND ROO AND RABBIT?!?!?! *leaves your TR for a second to go find plane tickets to MCO in October so I can see that awesomeness* OMG.

I just died over the Haunted Mansion part HOLY CRAP.

THE VILLIANS PAIN AND PANIC THAT SKELETON BAND. I don’t know how I will survive when I see this parade. At all.

AND THE HYENAS. HOLY.

I am sorry about the whole Eugene thing and feeling guilty about Lee-Anne. I would have been upset too about the whole thing. I mean, it is RIDICULOUS that CMs can’t give you an answer. Can’t they use a magical phone to magically call CMs that are in the M&G?!?!? That just stinks. Seriously.

I had an incident just like you on a recent trip. I was there at Christmastime with my family and it was our first day and EVERYTHING was a mess and I sat on the steps of the Sorcerer Hat bawling my eyes out, while they went on the Great Movie Ride when THE OSBORNE LIGHTS WERE LIKE 100 FEET AWAY. I was annoyed and upset. I mean, I had NEVER seen the Osborne Lights before and they wanted me to wait for them and I just didn’t want to. Same thing happened at MVMCP and my family didn’t want to do anything AND LEFT AT 10PM… WHACKOS. I was upset at them and I tried to pull it together, so I can totally relate to your situation. It really stinks. A LOT. I am happy that Jess convinced you to go to the 2nd party! And it seems like you had a much better time (:

Let me tell you, I've been there (both literally and figuratively).

My mom and I got to the party at 6:00 that night specifically so we could meet Flynn and Rapunzel without missing out on that much of the party. We were like 5th in line and let me tell you we were so annoyed. At 6:55 they were still letting non-party people in to meet the princess, and as I was impatiently waiting to be reunited with my love (I had gotten to meet Flynn at MVMCP the previous year), it was driving me nuts. Luckily by 7:05 they were letting us in - but like you there was a lot of suspicious whispering into phones taking place. As soon as we made it into the room I realized why, and I was crestfallen - there were only two couples and neither included Flynn. I spent the next 10 minutes anxiously hoping that Flynn would magically arrive, but he never did - and the CMs were less than helpful. It was rough because it really put a damper on the start of the party. After reading your report, I'm really glad we didn't get back in line later (which I had seriously considered). Luckily I got to see him the next night.

I can completely understand your frustration with LeAnn. In January 2011, I had gone to disney with my parents, my sisters and their boyfriends, and my other sister. Now normally I like to sleep in, but when I'm in Disney there are far more important things to do than sleep. Well on this trip my ENTIRE family thought it would be great to sleep until 9:30/10:00 every day. Add to that how long it takes for 8 people to get ready, and we weren't getting to the parks until noon. And then of course because its lunch time, the first thing we would do was eat. We were also on the dining plan and had dinners at TS restaurants planned, but because we booked 4 months in advance we ended up with really early dinner times (like 4:40 one day). We ended up eating 2 hour dinners and then because it was January, the parks were closing at 8:00 or 9:00 each night. By the end I started to lose it. We were only getting a good 5/6 hours of park time each day. Now you might ask well why didn't you just go into the park by yourself. Answer was simple - this was a "family" vacation and if I went off on my own I was ruining it. The breaking point came when we got in line for TSMM right before park close and then the ride broke down. It was the only day we had planned in HS and since we didn't get into the park until 11:30 and no sane person will wait 2 hours for a ride, closing was the only opportunity. I nearly started crying.

It was so frustrating that my family and I had completely different expectations when it came to the trip and I hated that I was upset in disney - it was just a really rough time. Looking back it still upsets a little. I felt like I was the only one compromising and it not like my family had never been to Disney before. Then again, maybe that's why they were taking such a relaxed approach.

Sorry to ramble on so much, but I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone and I fully commiserate. I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of the party though. I agree that the Boo to You Parade is just AMAZING. Its now my favorite parade ever. Can't wait to hear about your second party!

I'm sorry your first MNSSHP was kind of a bummer, but I am super happy for you that you got to go 2 more times! I want to go so bad, I'm hoping to go October, 2014 (probably mentioned that before) but DH isn't sure...he wants to try to find a new job early next year. We'll have to see.

OMG I would have been incredibly frustrated, too!!!!! It sounds like she hit a wall and just stopped! LOL That can't happen in Disney!!! I can't wait to hear about the next party night, though!

Ahhh I agree, it just can't happen! And yet unfortunately it did. The next night was a billion times better!

I need to go to that party like yesterday!! I am alllllll about parades and that one seems totally amazing!

I'm sorry Lee-Ann hit the wall. That would be crushing to me but not everyone is a disnerd unfortunately where they can go go go and not stop. I definitely think you handled it well. It stinks that there was so much disappointment but that probably made the next party that much better! (What was up with those cast members, come on!) Can't wait to hear about it!

Thanks... I knew people here would understand! You're right, it did make the next party all that much better. Just wait til you hear about it!

Great update! :)

Thank you!

Okay, now you really convinced me that I need to go to this party and see the parade! So that and the F&W Festival are on my to do list!

YES!!! you will have the best time ever. MNSSHP and F&W is the best possible combination of anything in life, trust me.

IT IS. I hope you get to go for Halloween! I am dying to visit the parks around the world, hopefully someday.

I don't get the Pirates thing either. Next month when we go, I am literally running to Pirates with her and making her get on, hahaha.

Ah Hallowishes. I had seen Holiday Wishes previously, so the panoramic fireworks wasn't as new to me, but it's still always sooooo amazing and goose-bumpy.

Completely agree on the lack of Jack. I don't get it either. It just makes no sense! :confused3

Ooh, I didn't know they were in Holiday Wishes too! Ahh I really want to go during Christmas again so I can see that!

hahaha I understand that the cowboy part may have not been as exciting for others as it was for my boy crazy self!

Yeah, I figured you guys would understand! It's so awesome to come here and have everyone totally know what I'm talking about.

:thumbsup2

Thank you so much!! I agree, it's the absolute best. Ahh I love it so much, I really hope I get to go in the fall!

haha You're right about the meltdown. It came close to that. Thank God for my do over!

Aw thanks so much for reading my last report and this one too! Yay for coming out of lurkdom (:

Ahhh I so agree with you. It is literally painful to think I will probably never get to dance in that parade. :'(

Glittery letters are always effective!!! I've heard that they won't do the Mansion makeover in WDW because of how long the HM has to be closed to decorate and un-decorate. Most WDW guests come once in a lifetime or every few years at most and there would be too many unsatisfied guests who'd miss out on their one chance to ride it. At DL, most of their business comes from locals or people who visit often, and so there is less complaining about HM closing. So I'm not expecting the full on same thing they do at DL, but they could do SOMETHING.

Hi Lia,
Just wanted to say, and I am an "old" lady-not a young college student, that I totally understand your confusion when your friend hit the wall. I never get that feeling when I am at Disney. I am up early and would stay til park closing if I could ever get someone to hang with me that long. :confused3
Especially for party nights.
So glad you unexpectedly had the chance to do it all over again. Can't wait to hear all about your next party night.

Okay, caught up again! I have to say, I skipped both of your parts about Hallowishes and the Boo to You parade, because I am trying my best to not be spoiled by any of it! When I experience MNSSHP, I want to just be totally surprised by everything! I mean, I know SOME stuff that happens and I plan on doing research to figure out what I want to do most, but I definitely want to be blown away by the parade and the fireworks!

Anyway, I'm SO sorry you didn't get to meet Eugene. That had to be SO disappointing. :( It's frustrating when you feel like you're wasting precious party time and no one seems to be able to answer your questions.

I'm also really sorry about everything with Leann.. I feel like that's the tough part about doing Disney with people who don't necessarily do Disney like you do. Or aren't as into Disney, if that makes sense. Basically, I know how it feels. And it kind of stinks when you're constantly worrying about how the other person is feeling or having the feelings of guilt, etc.

Like our friends... they... didn't like the PeopleMover. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! I don't know, but they literally sat outside of the queue area on a bench while Matt and I went on it by ourselves on our last day. ANYWAY, I imagine it's even more difficult when it's just the two of you, because you don't want to completely abandon anyone. Blergh. It's just hard.

I'm happy you get a do-over of MNSSHP! That's so awesome that it worked out for you! I can't wait to hear about it, and I do hope you get to meet Eugene at one of the TWO parties you got to go to later in your trip!!

Man, I’m surprised you even went on rides in MNSSHP, bahaa. I was dragging my mom from one character to the next! Haha, but at least you got some relaxing in. So glad you loved Hallowishes, they are ,my favorite nighttime show, it’s so incredible.

Oh my gosh corn dog nuggets, all my favorite things in one update! Lawl.So happy you loved Boo To You!! MNSSHP definitely holds all of my favorite entertainment, I don’t know why but everything is just so amazing there!!

Okay….it is now official, we are the same person. Aside from FOTLK bird dancer, my ultimate dream job would be a HM dancer in that parade. I’m hoping I’ve got a pretty good chance, I mean, I already ballroom dance lol. I’ve definitely considered doing that for a MNSSHP costume as well!! It’d be totally awesome!! AHH. I’m dying. It would be so amazing to work in that parade, I WISH they hired separately for it, I’d be at like, every one of those auditions! UGH! My LIIIFE.

COWBOOOOYYYSSSSSSS I read “good looking” and knew exactly what was happening! UGH! THEY ARE SO ATTRACTIVE!! One of them got eye contact with Paige and I and thrusted right towards us and was all “you like that ladies?” Uhm, yes, we are from cowboy country of Canada, there is always something so attractive about a man in a cowboy hat, Stampede time is amazing!!

Our love for this parade is around the same level. I’ve started doing two parties a trip to make sure I can watch it as many times as possible! Never noticed the goofy year tire, that’s adorable!

Aw man, I’m sorry that your party experience wasn’t the greatest!! I definitely get tht feeling, special events like MNSSHP have to be worth it, you have so much to do in not that much time, and don’t want to waste it on things like eating or gift shops. Super glad you had another couple chances at it and that Jess was able to talk you into it!

Note About Twitter:

Hi guys, so before I continue with my replies, just a quick note about my Twitter because I got two weird complaints from people that I did not appreciate.

1. While I post a lot of Disney stuff (probably more often than not), my Twitter is not solely Disney-related and it is not always Dis-appropriate. I do not care at all how I come off to anyone, and I always just post whatever the heck pops into my head. It is not a calculated thing, it's just a social media site that I'm on for fun and to keep in contact with friends. So don't expect it to always make sense to you, don't expect it to be all Disney all the time, and especially don't expect it to always be "appropriate".

2. If you want me to follow you back, just say so! I lose and gain a bunch of followers every day, so I really don't keep up with it or pay that much attention. I do read ALL my @ replies though and just because I don't reply back to every single one of them doesn't mean I am not seeing it. Sometimes I just don't have something to say, so don't be offended! Just introduce yourself and tell me your DIS name so I know to connect that with who you are.

That's all. :) 18 DAYS TIL I AM IN DISNEY! And guess what... I'M SEEING HANSON AGAIN! AND AGAIN, FOR FREE!!! Two days before Disney. I don't even know. I am one lucky gal lately.

And Also: I'M NOW ON INSTAGRAM! My username is capriamoon. Please follow me on there, I have hardly any followers and it's very sad.

****End of public service announcement!!! (:

You are the first person, I read, that gets the whole Fronteirland part of the parade. I always took it as a salute to harvest parties and such.

Love the parade!!

Really? haha I wasn't sure what it was at first but the Country Bears tied it all together! The flailing chicken is a little weird though.

(sigh).

Thank you!

Aw, I'm glad you enjoyed it! At first I wasn't sure if I should share the whole thing, but I figured Dissers would understand.

You will definitely not see him in the next post, but let's just say you shouldn't rule out seeing him in the future. :lovestruc

:hyper:

YOU SHOULD BE EXCITED!! It will be some of the most fun you EVER have!

Thank you <3

Ahh I think it is good that they are skipping the party. You really don't want to be with someone who isn't into it, especially being such a big fan yourself. There's just too much of a contrast there, it's really hard to make it fair for everyone.

*puts the boo to you music on* THIS SONG IS AWESOME. Now I will have it stuck in my head& Not complainin though.

I dont know how I will survive when I see this parade. At all.

AND THE HYENAS. HOLY.

I am sorry about the whole Eugene thing and feeling guilty about Lee-Anne. I would have been upset too about the whole thing. I mean, it is RIDICULOUS that CMs cant give you an answer. Cant they use a magical phone to magically call CMs that are in the M&G?!?!? That just stinks. Seriously.

haha It will now be stuck in your head FOREVER. Good thing you like it.

I know. I KNOW. It's amazing.

I agree, WHY is there a magic phone if not to COMMUNICATE WITH? Sheesh Disney.

Wow I can't believe that. I would have been so upset too. OMG. The Osborne Lights are so amazing, that is the first thing you should go see at night during the holidays in Hollywood. Crazy. And leaving MVMCP at 10pm?! NEVER.

I definitely had a better time during my 2nd party, you guys will read all about it and get to watch parts of it on video!

Let me tell you, I've been there (both literally and figuratively).

My mom and I got to the party at 6:00 that night specifically so we could meet Flynn and Rapunzel without missing out on that much of the party. Wow. Sometimes people say they understand, and they really don't, but you TRULY do! When the whole thing was happening, I was thinking about how many other big Tangled fans were disappointed. So I'm not surprised to hear from one! I'm so glad you eventually got to see Eugene!

I am totally with you... I would have lost it. I mean, how could your family want to waste ALL THAT TIME when they could be experiencing the very thing they paid tons of $ for and traveled far to see? It just doesn't make sense. :confused3

Don't worry about the rambling, I appreciate your comments!! <3 :)

I hope you get to go in 2014!!! Hopefully the pixie dust will help you and you will find yourself there. :)

Go girl!!! That is the way to do Disney in my opinion. :) I'm so happy I go to do it all over again, and I'm so excited to share it with all of you!

Okay, caught up again! I have to say, I skipped both of your parts about Hallowishes and the Boo to You parade, because I am trying my best to not be spoiled by any of it! I need to catch up on yours girl! I am slowly getting there!!!

You did the right thing by skipping it! That's what I advised because I think my avoiding spoilers made my experience all the more special. When you finally do see it in person, just be prepared to be RIDICULOUSLY OVERWHELMED AND FULL OF JOY. :D

Ahh I know. So much about the night just went in the wrong direction. I really did worry about making it a perfect trip for HER and not enough for myself. So when the time came that I wanted to do things my way, it was way overdue! Ah well, you live and learn and I know that now for #BirthdayFestivus13!

I don't even know how anyone could dislike the Peoplemover. I'm just gonna stop thinking about it b/c it is too confusing.

OH JUST WAIT TIL YOU HEAR ABOUT THE OTHER PARTIES!!! Many epic happenings. :D

Man, Im surprised you even went on rides in MNSSHP, bahaa. I was dragging my mom from one character to the next! Haha, but at least you got some relaxing in. So glad you loved Hallowishes, they are ,my favorite nighttime show, its so incredible.

Uhm, yes, we are from cowboy country of Canada, there is always something so attractive about a man in a cowboy hat, Stampede time is amazing!!

Our love for this parade is around the same level. Ive started doing two parties a trip to make sure I can watch it as many times as possible! Never noticed the goofy year tire, thats adorable!

Aw man, Im sorry that your party experience wasnt the greatest!! I definitely get tht feeling, special events like MNSSHP have to be worth it, you have so much to do in not that much time, and dont want to waste it on things like eating or gift shops. Super glad you had another couple chances at it and that Jess was able to talk you into it!

I did that because I wanted Lee-Anne to experience more of the MK at night! I am just a good friend. haha. But don't worry, at my next 2 parties I met almost everyone I wanted to. It was magical. You'll see! :D

I agree. They really went above and beyond with the entertainment at MNSSHP! It is more than worth the extra ticket price.

Oh man if they had auditions that were JUST for the HM dancers I'd fly down there in a heartbeat. I'm going to a dance audition for shows in MVMCP in June so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It would be a dream job to dance in Disney. I'm not getting my hopes up but it would be beyond words. *Sigh*

hahahaha those cowboys are so HOT. There was one in particular who came right up to me and I almost fell over.

Two parties a trip is the only way to do it girl! :D

My do-over parties were just unbelievably amazing, I am SO happy Jess convinced me to just go. I can't wait to write about it so you can all hear just how perfect it was!

Great update.. Too bad about character meets but nice to hear you went 2 more times!! Loved you costume...and love that it is homemade.

Just started following you on Instagram:)

Follow you on instagram now! Haha!! I definitely get the "not disney all the time" thing, I have a life, haha, twitter is sometimes my venting place!

Ah you're such a good friend! Tyler wasn't loving MNSSHP, and just went off by himself to ride rides lol!!

Ahhh!! That's awesome!! I'm headed to character auditions in a few weeks, but don't have the money to hit up those dancer auditions as well, unless I somehow win the lottery soon, baha! Break a leg!! That'd be so awesome, I would die of happiness to dance in Disney!

haha thanks! Yeah, there is definitely a very wide variety of topics touched on via my Twitter, not just Disney. It's weird that anyone would be surprised by that!

NOT LOVING MNSSHP? Ah, it's a mystery.

Ahh thank you! I will try. I can't even think about it, it's too exciting. I really hope I don't choke in the audition room and totally botch whatever combination they teach. Sigh. It's scary. Good luck at your character audition!!

Day 6, Part 1 In Which I See Ye Olde Sanderson House!

@babybritney: The Boo To You Parade song is gonna be stuck in my head for the greater part of forever and no one is mad.

Whew. Boy was I right about that one. 6 months later and it's still in my head! I sing it so often to myself. I can't even tell you. Sometimes when I'm up at 5 am to go to my stupid useless retail job and I'm just in an endless state of UGH, I put that song on and it just makes my whole outlook and day better because it brings me back to that moment of watching the parade on the street in Liberty Square with eyes as big as saucers, screaming about the HM dancers.

Ah, Disney. Some people say, "Disney is so expensive. Why spend so much money on just one week or so?"

Because it doesn't just last a week. It lasts a lifetime. Every memory gets you through all the dull days where you aren't going to get a hug from a prince, or visit an enchanted castle, or fly into outer space. Nothing may have happened in your day and maybe nothing will, but you can put your mind back to that place in time at Disney World and experience a moment of magic anyway.

I LOVE YOU DISNEY! AND I WILL SEE YOU IN 18 DAYS!!!!

My GOD, how is it real?! How can I be going back so soon?! And I get to be there with 3 of my best friends too?!!?!?!!??! I'm thanking my lucky stars.

SO. On this beautiful Friday morning, I woke up super early. Again. On my own. Wide awake!! No Stitchy call needed.

You'd think by Day 6 I would want to take a bit of a rest, but that just did not happen.

Lee-Anne had decided she didn't want to do anything on her last day, so she was sleeping in. Not me! I was all abuzz because I knew that today was the day I would check into ALL STAR MOVIES!

Even though I was sad Lee-Anne had to leave, I was SO excited for the 2nd part of the trip to begin. I had the whole weekend to myself to do whatever I wanted in my favorite place! AHH!

I got up, got dressed, and went to Everything Pop. I was DYING for a chocolate croissant and that's exactly what I got!

8663200319_0826780469.jpg

It was absolutely perfect and beyond delicious! I am ADDICTED to chocolate croissants so I am a serious judge. My favorite place to get them is at the White Rabbit on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. It's a really cool spot, if you're gonna be in NYC you gotta check it out. It's like a bakery but also a full bar, and they feature unbelievable art by local artists. So go!!! BUT anyway, this croissant at Pop could definitely stand up to the freshly baked goodness at the White Rabbit, so I was very satisfied!

Our beautiful and heavenly Free(ish) Dining Plans ended at 12AM that night, so I also used another snack credit to get a Mickey Rice Crispie treat for later.

I came back to the room where I finished packing and getting ready. Then, I decided to go for a walk around the resort to enjoy my last moments of beloved POP!

Sorry no pictures, I was just trying to enjoy the ambiance and soak it all in before it was time to go.

I relaxed on a beach chair near the Bowling Pin pool for awhile before walking back to the center of the resort so I could visit the Concierge at the Front Desk.

As much as I love to keep in touch with the hotel staff, this was not just any ordinary Concierge visit. It was a very important one!

I NEEDED A 2ND MICKEY'S NOT SO SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY TICKET, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It had to happen. I had to do the party right. I had to meet Eugene. I had to see Boo To You again. I had to meet more characters. I just needed more time at that amazing party in general, enjoying the spooky ambiance. There was no other way. There was nothing I could do that night in all of Disney World that would be better than making up for last night's mishaps. It wasn't fun spending another $70, but it ended up being worth it EVEN MORE than I could have possibly imagined. That night was A DREAM.

But I'm getting ahead of myself here.

New MNSSHP ticket in hand and bursting with excitement, I went back to Everything Pop because I REALLY wanted a King Cupcake. I had tried to get it earlier in the trip and they didn't have any left, so I was really hoping they'd have them this time!

If you don't know what I'm talking about, The King Cupcake is the relatively new Elvis tribute cupcake available only at Pop Century. If you know anything about Elvis, you know he famously loved peanut butter and banana sandwiches. It's just one of those random facts that has become pop culture legend for some reason. I love Elvis, so I thought this was SO cool that they were honoring him via his favorite sandwich in the form of a CUPCAKE!!!!!!!! I mean how awesome is that?! Really.

Just to break it down for you, it's chocolate cake with banana custard filling and peanut butter icing topped with candied bacon and chocolate drizzle.

AHH.

Sadly, this is not my picture. (Thanks DisneyFoodBlog) I am seriously going to be so mad if they do not have it the next time I am there!! I NEED TO TRY THIS EPIC CUPCAKE!!! My cupcake list for #BirthdayFestivus13 is even more serious than my previous one. If I don't eat at least 58 cupcakes on this trip I will have failed.

I filled up my Refillable4Lyfe mug, and as I was heading out, I noticed that they had put out tables with pumpkins on them! Any time I see anything Halloween related I stop dead in my tracks.

It was a Cast Member Pumpkin Carving Contest!!!!! How cute. I had no idea they did this but if I was a CM I would so enter and spend countless hours making a flawless Halloween creation.

I was pretty into this, so get ready for a picspam of (fake) pumpkins!

Hmm. A skeleton pumpkin princess?

8663199939_cd5249567b_z.jpg

That's the giant monster from one of the POTC movies (I can't remember what it's called. Despite my giant affection for Johnny Depp, I really only enjoyed the first Pirates and by the 4th one I just gave up and refused to watch).

Uh oh.. it looks like Mickey got caught in a witch's brew in this next one!

This next one gets points for being the only one that was resort specific, although I wish they had included more detail. I mean, there's just so much to work with when it comes to Pop Century.

And now we have what, in my opinion, were the Top 3 Best Pumpkins!!!

#3:

The person who created this had an advantage because obviously they are artistically talented. It's a great rendering of Stitch looking a bit evil and I like that they turned him into Count Stitch or whatever he is supposed to be. I love that they made the actual pumpkin a bit smaller and gave it a jack o lantern grin that looks different from the norm. Very cool!

SO AWESOME. I love all the details here, I mean they even made a little ride vehicle which is the only part of this that is actually a pumpkin. They have the floating objects on the left too! I love it. This probably would have been #1 in my book if they included the graveyard walking his dog or found some way to put the ballroom ghosts inside.

AND NOW, MY LOYAL READERS, HERE IS THE #1 PUMPKIN!!!!!!!

8663199285_2335e321b4_z.jpg

OMG OMG OMG OMG. HOW COOL IS THIS.

Honestly, no other pumpkin had a chance after this one. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it references the FLAWLESS HALLOWEEN MOVIE Hocus Pocus. But it's also just all the details they used directly from the film that makes it beyond perfect.

First of all, check out the close-up:

8664297510_a267d81680_z.jpg

THAT'S DONALD AND GOOFY UP IN THE CAGES.

YOU CAN ALSO SEE ON THE RIGHT THAT THEY PUT THE VACUUM IN THERE THAT MARY HAS TO RIDE WHEN SHE CAN'T FIND HER BROOM. hahahahaha.

Also on the right, you can see they have all the ingredients for their witches brew. One says "Thine Own Tongue", another says "Hidden Mickey", there's "Pixie Dust" too, and my favorite on the bottom right... DEADLY NIGHTSHADE!!! From The Nightmare Before Christmas!!!! OH MY GOD. I WAS ALL OVER THAT.

It was just so awesome. I love creative people. Just such an awesome job from everyone, but I looooved that Hocus Pocus pumpkin.

Here is where you vote!

8663198875_d98deb685b_z.jpg

@babybritney: I just voted in a Cast Member pumpkin carving contest. In related news, Disney is perfect.

I just love so much when I come across something in Disney that I have never heard of or seen before. It was such a cute little surprise for me that morning.

After I put my vote in, I headed back to our room for the last time!

Lee-Anne got up and got all her stuff together. We just watched TV as her pick up time neared. I was just like super anxious because I am not about sitting down and watching non-Stacey TV while at Disney World, but I could tell Lee-Anne was exhausted. I guess her getting sick during the week just kind of lingered and made her tired. I hope to God that doesn't happen during #BirthdayFestivus13, cause it was just so sad!

Overall, we had a great time together, like we always do. I wish the end could have been more fun, but hey, you can't have everything. Most of the trip had gone perfectly anyway, so we weren't complaining!

Around 11:45, we waved goodbye to our room and headed down to the front of the resort so that she could catch her Magical Express bus that was coming at 12:05.

8664297110_0de98ca7f7_z.jpg

I love how kids always get to use sidewalk chalk at Pop.

The bus actually came a few minutes early. BOO. I hate saying goodbye! GOODBYES SUCK. :sad2:

But of course, all good things must come to an end.

I felt really bad that she was leaving because it had just gone by SO FAST and even though she didn't say it, I knew she hadn't been happy with how MNSSHP had gone. I mean, she didn't even want to do anything by the end of the night, so how much fun could she have had? Honestly, if I had to go home that morning after that MNSSHP I would have been devastated. I know I'm way more dramatic and in love with Disney than she is, but seriously, it was just not as magical as we had hoped and I was SO lucky to get the extra days I did. I mean, the entire rest of the trip was amazing for her besides when she got sick, but that night was a bummer. I was so thrilled I did not have to go home but I just felt so bad for her! So I'm just really happy she is getting to go back so soon in May!

After she was on the bus in her seat and I waved Goodbye a million times, the bus left, and it was time to hit the re-set button my trip!

I hope you guys enjoy what's left, because I can not even explain the amazing and revitalizing experience that was #StuckInDisney12 for me. It is going to be hard to articulate how much I enjoyed myself the rest of this trip because it was just so epic.

As much as I loved being there with my friend, I think at that particular time I needed some time to myself. I needed to some quality time with The Mouse in the best place on the planet. I needed to just be totally free and do whatever I wanted to do, and I got to do that for six days. Life had been gettin' me down and the total freedom that happened on the rest of this trip was very very important. Of course, then I got to go to Gina's which was also amazing for its own reasons (which I will get to when the time comes!) Overall, I just got extremely lucky and I can't believe it's going to happen again in 18 DAYS!!! So stay tuned for the next phase of this trip report, coming to a Disboard near you in the very near future!
