Im so tired from getting READY for my vacation!!!!!! I am gonna be worn out before I get there in 9 days! LOL

I go to Wal-mart at least twice a day to get little odds n' ends. I keep reading these tips, and I have went back for bug spray, sun block, moleskin...new shoelaces....you name it!

I have already packed my hanging bag, part of my suitcase is packed, my dogs supplies are packed, my backpack with camera/film, batteries, first-aid kit, wipes, lysol, lint brush si packed....whew!!!! Im beat!

I have already got the ball rolling to get what I need to be done for my work, so my employees wont come up with any problems, I am packing my parents for their trip on Labor Day (my mom had a brain injury, so she cant remember everything, so I am doing it) to Mississippi, I am just flat WORN OUT! LOL

All I can say is COME ON AUGUST 31 BEFORE I AM A ZOMBIE!!!

Anyone else having a tiring preparation for their trip?

Actually, I think the preparation and anticipation are almost as fun as the trip itself. My girls are older now, so they can pack for themselves, but I can agree that it used to be very tiring. It will all be worth it when you enter the Magic Kingdom and take that walk down Main Street to the castle. Still the best part of the trip for me!

I also spend so much time at Walmart buying everything
suggested by these boards. Packing is very tiring,
and everything else involved with going on vacation,
BUT, now that I look back on it, it was HALF the fun
because our trip is over, 12 GLORIOUS days in
Disney, and I'm no LONGER having fun!

I have been packing for the last three weeks! I leave on Thursday (less that 48 hours!), and have been packing and running to Wal Mart for last minute things since the 1st of August. Like you, I'm exhausted, and I haven't even left yet! :)

To relieve stress in the future, sit down right now and create a list of everything you have packed for this vacation. You are going over everything in your mind anyway to make sure you haven't forgotten something, right? Do it now while it is fresh in your mind, after vacation you won't be as motivated. Our list has been invaluable packing for vacations. We never forget anything. I even have a check off section for national fast food chains coupons. It cuts down on running to the store multiple times. The kids even use it when going to a friend's house for an over night.

Better yet I can pack on a moments notice as long as the laundry is done. This helps when DH has a business trip and I get to go too.:D

One word of advice.... STOP and relax now. Like you, I always push myself in the planning. It is usually
trying to get everything done for work. I am so exhausted in preparing for the trip, that I always get
sick.

So relax, take at least three days off before you go to rest, get plenty of sleep, and do nothing. You'll arrive
at DisneyWorld ready to take on the long days and hot weather for a great time.

Best of Luck

Leaving tomorrow...haven't even started packing yet!!!

I like to wait...it gives me something to do because I can't sleep at night anyway!!

I dont have time to relax!!!!! LOL

no really, last nite I went home and just sat and watched some TV. Didnt do anything "Disney Related". I am just about thru with all the packing, except for the odds and ends, so I think I'm gonna be ok.

:)

Thank you!!!!!!

Hey TIGGER36027, I might have you beat! I have to clean the house before we leave!! We have a housesitter who stays and watches our 2 dogs, so I have to change sheets, clean up, leave written instructions and phone numbers, and buy food for him! But I really don't mind - he does a great job and doesn't charge (although we do pay him anyway).

FIFTEEN DAYS TIL WE GO TO THE HOUSE OF MOUSE!!!!

My 18 yr old daughter will be house sitting for us this year. I probably wont have a
house to come back to. LOL.
