Im so glad I have DVC...vs OTHERS

I just wanted to say that one reason I love DVC is that there are no specific "weeks" assigned. My mom has owned at Orange Lake since I was a little girl and that is were we always stayed while in Orlando, she bought in for the week that NH schools have April vacation (week 17). Don't get me wrong, the place is great and we always had a wonderdul experience. So, I bought DVC because I love Disney and the on-site convenience. For April break '06 we decide to use Orange lake and save some points. So I get the airtickets, car, hotel for the night before etc...Then mom calls...."Um honey, seems that OL added and extra week for 2005, some catch up thing and week 17 is now the week AFTER NH school vacation." WHAT?!?! That is pretty useless! So I call up MS and get a villa for April break at the Beach Club instead, so thankful that I have DVC and can pick and choose when to go....

Wow, you were lucky with that one! Congratulations!! We don't own any other timeshares, never thought we would, but here we are and we do enjoy DVC!

week 17 falls on April 29 this year - April 28 next week and April 26 the following year.

So sorry this happened to you.

Lots of people find that they wanted a particular week - only to find that they still get that week - problem is the days are different.....

DVC is WONDERFUL!!! as long as you have the points!
