Just had to share my excitement with "yinz guys"!!!

DH and I will be married 20 years in Sept. We've been talking about going somewhere WITHOUT the boys (they're 12 and 14). I'd love to see Boston or San Francisco, or maybe go back to Niagara Falls and do adult stuff this time. Well, looking at the calendar and figuring out when there'd be a lull in the boy's activities (so my parents can watch them without too much whining from my parents about having to drive all over the place), looks like we can't go until Nov. DH says he wants to go someplace WARM, so he said no to Boston, SF and Niagara Falls. Even though I pointed out that it IS our anniversary trip, and what's wrong with "Sweetie, I'm cold, let's snuggle"? He still wants warm. Looked into Bahamas, Bermuda, etc. - too expensive and can't use his frequent flyer miles.

Soooooo, WE'RE GOING TO WDW IN NOVEMBER!!!! :Pinkbounc DH booked the flights last night - using his miles, so we only have to pay $10. Now I get to do the fun part - PLAN the trip!!!! This is the first time we've been to WDW without kids, so it'll be like planning our first trip. AND, we sort of have a "tradition" of taking the kids every 2 years, so summer of 2005 will be our regular family vacation. Hmmmmm, maybe DH and I can get annual passes since we'll be going twice within a year. Time to crunch some numbers and figure out our best deal, and then let Dreams Unlimited do the rest!

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

(Ok, now I have to get back to work so I don't lose my job. No job = no $$ for WDW.)

Yeah for you!! Have fun with the planning!.......................P

Congratulations - that will be a wonderful trip. And yeah - sounds like a great excuse to get AP's ::yes::. It makes sense and will make that next family trip cost much less. Free plane tickets this trip and "free" park tickets for you and DH next trip.

Krista :)

We've been without the kids. It is AWESOME! Check out the book by Perlmutter, WDW for Adults, I think it is called. Lots of great tips. Happy planning!

My DW and I went to WDW once without our DD and we had a great time! (DD is STILL mad at us though. )

I figure I'll miss the boys, but I am so looking forward to eating in some of the fancier restaurants, not to mention 5 days of not having to referee any fights!!

Our kids a little miffed that we're not taking them, but they know they'll be going next summer. And (we're keeping our fingers crossed) oldest DS is in marching band and they have a trip planned in March - someplace "south" is all they'll tell us. Hmmmm, Easter is in March - wouldn't it be great if they could march in the WDW Easter parade?
