We passed ROFR on 3/10...and just got word that closing Docs are coming tomorrow. So of course we will overnight those in on Tuesday. Does anyone know how many days after that until I can call to receive my member number??? What the rest of the process might look like?
Thank you for your help

Typically at least 10 days AFTER the closing happens and the deed transfer is recorded with OC comptroller-look on your closing documents when you get them for your anticipated closing date
(Remember your seller has to get their stuff notarized before sending back so even if you send them in Tues and overnight them closing company will have to wait on seller's docs to close)

Thank you..I would like the Resale company to prompt the sellers to be prompt when returning the closing docs. One of the main reasons I paid a bit more than I wanted was this contract was fully loaded with 2013 & 2014 points. So hopefully they will keep that in mind too!

Keep in mind that sometimes the sellers owe money at closing, so they are not always in a huge hurry to return the paperwork.

There really is no point in buyers overnighting documents back. Sellers have to get theirs notarized and even with the best will in the world that takes longer than 24 hours.

Just to give you an example we have been told we will get our selling paperwork 7/4. My husband will be on a 10 day business trip then so we will take about 12 days to sign. Selling DVC isn't always the only think happening in people's lives

Not to hijack the thread but we have not received confirmation from our broker / title company that we have closed, BUT our deed showed up on the OC Comptrollers site on Thursday, so am I correct in assuming everything is complete an I can call 10 days from Thursday?

Yes. If it showed up on the website, it has closed and has been recorded.
