I'm so disappointed in Disney

My sentiments exactly. I hope your Aunt is doing better as well.

Thank you. She is doing remarkably well! She is 77 years old and she had a major surgery and came through like a champ. My mom took her to the doctor last week and they just want us to keep an eye on her weight. They said that when this cancer comes back it comes with a vengeance and weight loss is a sounding device. They won't do chemo due to her age and it's now quality of life versus quantity of life. But you would never know what this kind woman has been through this past summer by looking at her.

BTW, I don't know what happened with all of those extra posts out there. Sorry, OOPs.
 
Holy Cow. OK you don't agree with her but why be mean?
If the CM helping her out didn't want to give her an Extra/perk on her next trip, he should NOT of said anything. He should of cut her check and then be done with it! Don't tell her to call and we will see what we can do. I would be annoyed to if someone said to call them and then blew me off. All he has to do is call and say, sorry, I can't give you any deals. She said she was Disappointed. not that she hates them.
 
You're exactly right. And it was very nice of them to do all that they did. It has been one of those days for me and I just had to vent.

I do know that this man has done alot in what he has already done for us and I am really grateful, despite my intial post.

We all have those days....Myfingers and toes are crossed that the CM is able to work something out for you. :goodvibes
 
Don't feel bad! I would have been hoping for a discount or something as well!! You were told that it might be possible to get one and you were excited!! I can't stand when you call a place many times and cannot get
someone to call you back! So aggrevating!!!

Have you thought about emailing Guest Services. In the email include what happened with your refund, the CM who said he would try to work a discount for you, that you have tried to contact him and haven't been able too and that you were hoping to stay at a Deluxe if the CM could offer you a discount. I would also include your current reservation information. If the email doesn't make it to that CM's desk, maybe someone else can work something out for you.

No worries, whinning reduces stress. :laughing: One good thing about WDW, lately there seems to be a lot of discounts popping up, you'll have many magical vacations ahead. Some thing will come up. Hope your Aunt is doing well
 
I'd be mad too about not getting the refund, especially if you have followed all the procedures and cancelled in the right time frame.
 
I think you have some real legitimate gripes. Like why did it take Disney so long for them to get you your $$ if you cancelled within the required time. Also there is nothing worse IMO when calls go unreturned, drives me nuts. There are no excuses for those issues and I think Disney did try to help although it seems like in your opinion it was not enough. If I read your post correctly you booked WL hoping for a discount that would bring it closer to the cost of a Value rack rate. Maybe you just got your hopes up a little too much. Anyway, you are still going and will still have a great time plus you got VIP fireworks tickets and your Aunt is doing great. Sounds like to me, you did pretty well. :goodvibes
