I don't want to miss Pirate Night dinner or the restaurant that changes into color. How do I know which night I'll do what in order to maker Palo reservations?

Thanks

Are you on a 3,4 or 7 day cruise. We are on a 7 day so I just didn't schedule Palo for the first 3 days and it was just posted what night was pirate night so I went off that. (The 2nd time you're in AP they don't do the "show" only on your first visit there) Amy :flower:

Edited because I just noticed the new DCL website with the option for booking Palo's prior to your cruise. Based on cruise length and ages of your travel party, you might be able to figure out which restaurant you'll start with and go from there.

hello do they go by ages of the children? I am trying to figure out dinner rotation. I am on the 7 night western cruise which is the magic and my children are 14 and 10. We are for the late seating. Can you maybe help me figure it out. Thanks

We are on a 4 day cruise & Disney told me our dining was P,T,A, A again. She also said Pirate night was on our 3rd night. So shouldn't I make them for our last night?

I don't know how your TA knew which rotation you'd have but if it looks like either of the first two nights would be what you want. From what I hear here also, Pirate Night deck party is held after dinner so you may be able to book Palo early on your last night so you wouldn't miss a restaurant. Good luck Amy :flower: (unless you want the "pirate Night menu vs.Pirate Night deck party then you'd go for the 1st or 2nd night)

mommy2mnm - so dcl told you over the phone what rotation you have. I wonder if they are doing this now since the new website. I know before everyone said you can't find out until you get on board. This would be great if they start telling us before. I was worried about booking palo on the wrong night too.

Yes, DCL told me our dining rotation yesterday on the phone. I told her I had heard about the website being able to make reservations & said I didn't want to miss a restaurant. I made it for 7:30 on our last night. Hopefully this isn't a mistake. I'm so new to the it is overwhelming!!!

mommy2mnm - did you book directly through DCL? Just wondering if this is why they told you. It makes total sense to me for them to be able to tell people before their cruise what rotation they were in. I'm glad you got your ressies done. I"m sure if they told you your rotation then you did it correctly.

new to cruising, trying to figure this all out too.
So it sounds as if Palo should be booked for the 4th night, if you don't want to miss any of the other 3 restaurants. Is this always the case? The duplicate restaurant is always on the 4th night?

Bumpity bump

I Personally wouldn't want to miss AP on the last night...that is when they do the show with the music and lights!

Ugh, they do they black & white to color thing on the 4th night???
Oh, now I'm really confused. I thought they did that on the first night you're in there.

Someone help. I've read through 4 pages of "Palo", "Dining Rotation" searches and I still don't know when to make Palo ressies.

I believe that was in response to the person who was told that they would have the PTAA rotation. If Pirate night is the third night, you wont have the light show until the last night. On the 7 night cruises it is the first night you are in A.

So what I've figured out(correct me if I'm wrong) is that you really won't know when to book Palo, as the dining rotation isn't known until you board the ship?? But then I've read others' that have their rotation before leaving

That is right. The only way that you will definitely know your dining rotation is if you book the REAS package. Honestly, on a four nighter I would skip Palo. There is a show each night & I wouldn't want to miss any of them.

So maybe a Palo brunch would be a better choice then? Still get hubby and wife time alone, but wouldn't miss any shows or eating with kids?

Hey, if you can get brunch forget dinner! That was the best meal that I have ever had in my life!!!
