I'm sitting here in tears :( -- NEW UPDATE (page 5)

Thanks for asking. Well, I probably spoke 6 words to my manager today. He has been behind closed doors most of the day. I haven't heard from HR yet but have applied to 3 new jobs today. Let's see what happens. This will take some time to resolve. One thing for sure is: I don't want to resolve this issue with my manager, I just want out. I can't change someone's personality. He will be like this long term. I'm on a one-way street at this point. There's no going back.

I wish you the best of luck and  to you!

My workplace has recently become unbearable, and we've been told on more than one occasion American workers are lazy, unappreciative, and don't want to do the right thing, wheareas our counterparts in India want to work, do well, and succeed.

Time to dust of the 'ole resume too.

While its true that workers in India want to work and succeed, its also true that American employers are paying them $5 American dollars for every $150 they pay Americans. So work ethic has nothing to do with it. Their criticisms ring false.

Yikes, take medication because someone is an creep? What the... :scared:

Yup - I did it. The boss basically tore me down on everything I did from the minute I got in the door to the last thing at night - if I did not say good morning in the right tone to whether I said good night correctly and all points in between. i was responsible for 2 staff doing the tax filing for a major company and one of the staff would not work even if you sat behind her with a cattle prod - and then the quality would be bad. Every time something went wrong, I had to tell the boss and be blamed for that as well.

I did not want to quit as the pay was good, so the boss set about manufacturing an inefficiency process to fire me - so every two weeks I also had to present to a review where she listed all of the things I had done wrong, how I could not meet her impossible standards and all of hte things she had gotten my subordinates to tell her about how bad I was...... (incidentally she did the same thing to my replacement and I acted as her referee because there is no way this woman would let you apply for another job before she sacked you)

My choice was in conjunction with a psych was to medicate with prescriptions or medicate with alcohol / food or even there were black thoughts to take things further. DH could just sit & watch the blackness.

But as many posters would know once depression hits there is no way you can turn on 'professional' and 'happy' for an intereview and nobody is going to want to employ somebody who is in the middle of blackness during an interview.....

Wow, what a horrible way to live. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that.

Your way out of it may be your solution but I don't see the need to use chemicals to deal with behind holes. Not a suggestion I'd give anyone going thru hard times, but that's me.

I managed to make it thru some very hard times without drugs, even when my doctors insisted. I didn't want to add a problem to a problem. I come from a very chemical and alcohol dependent family, and I've seen the end results of trying to medicate yourself happy....:guilty:

Just wanted to see how everything was going for you at work......

I'm hoping "someone" had a Scrooge like change of personality. Doubt it but one can hope.
