I'm sick.

I guess I just find things arn't funny anymore when you experience them. Like a friend dying or everything else.
My best friend (known her my whole life, we basically live at eachothers houses) had her sister die about two years ago. three months earlier her uncle (lived with them) died. This girl was 12. Sometimes things pile up so fast and they hurt so bad that all you can do is laugh to let pain out. Trust me. been there. Now, I didn't think it was funny that bambi's mom died. But you know. its a movie. its not real. and the movie wouldn't have had a point if she hadn't.

First of all, Bambi's mother is a something, not a someone. A someone would be a human like you and me.

And second of all, they are going to find out anyway, its not like they won't cry anyway.
Bambi's mom is to a someone.

Well until two of her legs become hands, I wouldn't consider her one.

Ok. People are getting waaay too involved in this.

Bambi's mom had to die. it was part of the story. the ending wouldn't be the same if she hadn't. now. The idea of killing off the mother is used in most disney stories (go ahead, think, how many mothers make it to the end of a disney movie? how many are even in it?) You get the biggest impact in killing off a motherly character.

Now I'm not one to torture small children (I'd much rather not be invoved with them) and I'm not saying I would do this, but its going to happen, if munky tells them or not. jmo

And bambi's mother is NOT a someone! shes a character! I'm a someone. You're a someone. she is a made up deer.

I would like to take the time to say that little kids love me, for the most part.

I'm not a children person. they love me but I am always WAAAY too cautious around them. They're little and they break! and I'm not the kind of person you want to trust with a life other than my own. :rotfl:

I'm not a "children" person either. I'm not cautious around them, but just don't like them in general.
I only like them after the snot-nosed vermen phase. Even then, they have absolutely NO appeal. I'd rather have a puppy anyday.

I'm not like most of you. I don't go around telling kids that the characters aren't real. In fact, I'm very cautious around children these days.

But, anyway, I did grow up knowing the characters in the cartoons were not necessarily real. But, I enjoyed them, I still enjoy them, and I always will enjoy them. The only character that I truly believed in as a kid was Santa Claus, but I stopped believing when one Christmas Eve, my mom got injured getting out the presents. But, I wasn't mad or disappointed when it happened. I was worried about my mom.

But, like I said, I believe in "preserving the magic." That means not making a living of shouting "Mickey's just a cartoon" or doing other things. In fact, I am my high school's mascot and love making the kids that are there happy. I also plan on trying out for the Disney College program in the character field.

A lot of disney movies are really sad. I heard that there are only two disney movies in which there were both parents. I *think* they were 101 dalmations and Peter Pan, but I'm not sure.

One time I tried to think of another movie with both parents, but I couldn't come up with one...

I've never told the kids that the characters arn't real. I just said that I spoil the end of Bambi for them.
