I'm running away

Work has been an absolute nightmare. Attitudes everywhere. Everyone looking to put the blame on someone else. EGO's are unbelievable. Projects are handed out. Projects are done. Re-do the project to look this way. Re-do the project to look that way. Re-do the project to look the way you did it the first time. Why is it taking you so long to get your project done??? This isn't right, do it over. Never mind that it is the same information, just formatted differently... I am so tired of having to dumb down everything I do so "educated" people can understand it.


I'm going to run away. Far, far away. Anybody up for a road trip?

I'm ready for a road trip. Today has been an absolute STRESSFUL day here at work. Bad weather, bad attitudes (I almost had to pop somebody for just about downright insulting me, all because I got a shirt from work and he didn't ), and just a general chaos (it gets like this periodically ). Where are we going, Missy? Don't say the ladies room because I'm scared to go into the bathroom where you work.

I'm game. Just found out a friend has been going thru chemo. No one had a clue. Then I found out another friend will be getting laid off soon. I just want to get away! Where did you say we are going?

Thank you for the hugs, jamsmom. It is very much appreciated. Unfortunately, the stress is being generated internally. We are in our busy season right now and people are like Jekyll & Hyde. The good news is it should be over in 43 days.

Shannon, I'm sorry you are having a bad day, too. Anywhere sounds good to me. LOL! I'm scared to go to the restroom, too.

ltldeb - sorry to hear about your friend. I hope things turn around for her. PD that the one being laid off will find a job quickly.

How about the Keys? A little bit of the Jimmy Buffett lifestyle should do the trick. Pass the margarita's!

Hmmm... running away sounds tempting. Count me in. I've got a full tank of gas in the van and it just got cold again up here.

Work here has been downright depressing. I guess it's getting to be that way everywhere, though.

I'm coming up on 35 years here and we have a director who thinks we should all come up with "personal development plans" and "stretch assignments." My personal development plan is retirement as soon as my wife decides she's "ready" and my stretch assignment is keeping what's left of my sanity getting there.

I really need to hug a palm tree...
