I'm really starting to get worried about the status of my pending license.

Has anybody else had to work with the California Department of Public Health to get licensing for their career?

I sent another copy of my transcript last week, paid $32 to have it sent Certified Express, and according to the receipt it was delivered to Richmond, CA ahead of schedule, yet I checked again this morning and my application still says "Pending Awaiting Documents."

I'm really starting to get scared now. Nobody will answer the phone, nobody will respond to my emails or my tickets, it's like nobody even exists there. But they were sure quick to take my money.
I know with Consumer Affairs in Sacramento, most went back to work. I can bet your worker received quite a few documents last week to match up and evaluate. If you are still concerned, do as I suggested previously, go to the governors website, do an email and you will get a response from the Dept of Public Health. Never once were we rude to the person, we quite frankly understood because we were so far behind. As someone else said above about the nursing licenses taking so long, we at the LVN/LPN Board were 9 months behind for those qualifying under equilevancy. The fingerprints now don't take as long since it's livescan and the doj portion is quite fast. We had the result before the paperwork in most cases as the schools had them do their livescan while submitting the application of which the applicant sent a copy with their app.

YAY!!!

My son's girlfriend was just about to start a phlebotomy course when COVID hit. There are still no programs available in their state to do the course. I know someone, from the same state, who went to another state to take a course, but generally people are still waiting. I hadn't even thought about the licensing part once you passed the course being another hold up!
