I work as a cafeteria manager for an elementary school and we fed our last student of the school year yesterday.

I talked to Kenny last night and it's a go for our cart.

I broke the news to my DH that I robbed our savings and bought us Premium Annual Passes this morning and he didn't pull out his gun and shoot me (well, we *will* be celebrating our 25th Anniversay this trip so I guess he cut me some slack)

I took our turning-thirteen-on-Monday daughter shopping for bathing suits that fit this afternoon and now she can go to the waterparks, too.

I'm READY! Do I really have to work next week? Unfortunately I'm told I do.

Glad to hear I am not the only one glad kids are out of school so I can go play at Disney World. No Fort this trip, but we too bought APs and will be coming to the Fort a lot (for us) this year.

Enjoy your trip.

Come on down! The weather is great. About 90 today, but this evening is perfect.

Hope to meet you next weekend. Have a safe trip.

Aaaack! I'm like a little kid, bursting with excitement! I still have two days of paperwork and two days of training before I'm really done for the school year. How on earth am I going to concentrate?! :scared1:

Take it one day at a time. ;) I know the feeling.

Have a great trip, take lots of pics.

Well that will be one FABULOUS anniversary celebration! party:

You're a cafeteria manager at a school? My kids would be interested if you have a box of Crisp-EE-toes (spelled phonetically) left in the school freezer. They're the only thing on the menu they like.

Have a great trip.

Bama Ed, I've actually never heard of crispitos (I'm guessing that's how they're spelled?). In any event here in Fulton County GA, we cafeteria Managers are supposed to use up as much food and supplies before schools out so we don't carry it over the summer and then have to serve kids old food in the new school year. My school freezer is nearly empty right now. Probally more info than you wanted, huh? :rotfl:

Well I did a ton of closeout paperwork early this AM. This afternoon I got into the fifth wheel and vacuumed, swept and washed the floor, stripped the beds, washed the linens and remade the beds. I also cleaned out the medicine cabinet, cleaned sinks and cleared out all the accumulated junk from previous trips (old State Park maps, area guide maps, etc.) took the fridge shelves out and washed them and the fridge. Nothing was actually dirty. I just wanted it all to be "fresh" for this trip. :)

I keep thinking I'm ready and I keep finding important things to do. Yesterday I suddenly realized I had put off getting Polly her shots and she was no longer up to date, so after work today down she went to the vet and she's up to date now, with the papers to prove it!

Saturday just can't come soon enough.

I'm so happy for you, too! And I am feeling just like you are!

I also work at a school. It seems someone hit the slow-mo button as the year just won't end! I am counting down the days. Here are my countdowns:

4 more days of school for me (last day is Wed., June 8)

5 more days of school for DS and DW (last day is Thurs., June 9)

8 days until DH returns from grading AP tests in Kentucky

10 days until WE LEAVE FOR DISNEY!!!! (It's the only thing keeping me even close to sane right now!)

Have a great time!

kkwis2, that's exactly how it was for me the last weeks of school! Especially last week. And today. It's hard to listen to all the training lessons about things that will be relevant NEXT school year. I was sitting there doodling Mickey Mouse :rotfl:
