I'm Pregnant

Jo - are you going to do a trip report when you get back ? It would be great to hear how you get on.

I certainly can, will let you know all about the baby facilities also when we get back. My big tip so far is the Mothercare Steriliser bottles as you just pop them in the microwave, so no need to order or bring a steriliser with. In fact they're so good we're using them all the time now and have packed the steriliser away.

Excellent - thanks Jo. We've looked at the microwave bottles in Mothercare before and thought that might be the way forward - especially as we'll have a microwave in the studio at Boardwalk.

You must be counting down the hours till you leave now :D Have a wonderful trip with the little one.

Thank you, I certainly am counting the hours, we leave straight after school tomorrow for Gatwick so it doesn't seem long at all.

That's exactly why we got the bottles due to the microwave in the room and they really are so much less hassle, we also bought some Lindam microwave steriliser bags for the other bits (spoons, teats for the Avent disposable system which I've bought as an emergency back up!) Zak's on formula now so we just use the sachets rather than have to measure out scoops (SMA), and it only works out at 2p a bottle more expensive so really not worth the hassle! He has his milk at room temp so I just make up his bottles with water each day and add a sachet of formula when he's ready for it.

I won't bore you now with it all, will be here if you need any help when we get back :)

Many congratulations. We're expecting our second baby mid October and the date for our trip to WDW keeps getting put back too! It's now pencilled in for Jan 2005 when Junior will be about 15 months. I must say it does sound quite tempting to follow Jo's example and go when the baby is only a few months, but other factors are contributing to the delay. But I'm sure there are pros and cons to any age, and whatever Junior's like at 15 months we're still going then!!

I know it's not the same, but maybe you should consider another trip to DLP inbetween, just to keep you going! :D

Hi Alex

I can totally relate. I am also pregnant, and we have had to cancel our June holiday as I would be 30+ weeks at the time. We have rebooked for December, and will be going with a 3 or 4 month old baby. I am starting to worry a little about that, but having traveled with Katie when she was quite young (although not as far as Florida) I think it will be ok.

Could you possibly move your trip forward? We were constrained by Phil;s university commitments, but I do wish we had moved it forward to Easter - I was desperate for a holiday at Easter, and I think I could have managed WDW, I was about 20 weeks at Easter. Now, I just have a long hot summer looming and no prospect of a hot holiday in site, as I won't be able to fly after the end of June, and before then I have no time available.

Poohbear, I shall be very interested to read your trip report when you get back - we have booked a condo for similiar reasons, it will give us a microwave, fridge, freezer etc which will all make life much easier.

Bev

Wonderful news Alex :) :) :) !!!

I hope you can reschedule your trip when you've had the baby - WDW is a very baby friendly place and if you can go whilst the baby is small I'm sure you'll manage really well :)
