well the chain is officially half way taken down and we are half way to our trip NEXT month....


In honor of this momentous occasion we had a "Be Our Guest" fancy dress up dinner in the dinning room (we do eat there most nights, but not w/ a fancy tablecloth) complete w/ table decorations, music and dessert.

here we are all dolled up:

Here is Bekah having fun (I think):

Me the lovely housewife (in barefeet ) cutting dessert...and hey like any good host before a fancy dinner party I actually vaccumed and cleaned toliets

Naomi-Ruth enjoyed her special dietary cake

and Daddy & I read this to the little girls

Bekah and Nathan also serenaded us w/ trombone and cello music (their nightly music practice) Bekah knows how to play the Beauty & the Beast theme/soundtrack..I video taped it but it cam out super dark...but you can still hear it:

Very cute! I saw the first one last night during Glee. It was for Fl. residents and it had video footage of some memories. I was surprised to see that Disney whipped it up so fast.

first thanks for hanging in there w/ me as this PTR has sort of slowed down a bit...w/ just our family countdown celebrations and of course yesterday I just picked up 10 extra times of lunch duty covering for another school thru the end of Oct...it's only 1 hr and 1/4 but man I am surprised how much less I get done in the day w/ eating lunch later etc...

the $$ will be nice (since you don't get paid alot to begin w/) so I will have to stay on top of things but at least Oct will fly by now.

My next posts may not be very elaborate but at least you will be able to see what is going on....

yes I have had the crock pot for several yrs now got it for Christmas...get's alot of use in the fall and winter

who has the fairest Esty order of them all?

Why Scrappie's 3 lovely DD's do (and a practically perfect shirt for Mom too)


Quite awhile back I had shared I had hoped to make a few custom dress/shirt orders from the site Esty for our upcoming trip...low I didn't know how dramatic it would be or in the end what an unexpecteted surprise would come...

to spare the privacy and personal circumstances of the one seller I bought from (the Dis-Spectrum ladies know the whole though as I lamented my woes to them via email) I will give you the quick story...

end of July: I ordered a wonderful custom Belle inspired sundress for Bekah. We both were in love w/ the dress. It was a perfect combination of grown-up girl and still had the spirit of the magical young girl I knew Bekah had.

Begining of Sept: no dress...no word from the seller of when the delay would be resolved...I was freaking-out I looked all over the Esty sight and online and just nothing compared. I was so distraught I actually felt

2 weeks ago: I felt I had no choice but to flag the seller and file a dispute which turned out to be a bigger ordeal than I had imagined...but some massive DISNEY MAGIC and ixiedust came into play! The night I filed the dispute...the seller contacted me apologizing a ton and shipped not just the dress I ordered the next day (plus reimbursing me my shipping) but sent an additional surprise dress.

I was so relieved....I recieved the dresses and they are beautiful, I can not wait for the girls to wear them. Now Bekah knows about her's and tried it on, but the extra surprise dress will be for Rachel, we actually blindfolded her and tried it on over her

These dresses are so wonderful I will share pix that the seller had sent me, but want to wait to reveal how the girls will look it them when we are at Disney....

Bekah's Belle dress:

the pink flowers are pins to have on or off (another extra the seller sent me at no charge)

Rachel's surprise Snow White sundress:

The white smock shirt was also an added bonus!

The other Esty ordered I placed was for two "perfect" items for Naomi-Ruth and I to wear to the 1900 PF breakfast w/ Mary Poppins and Alice and friends. (Rachel will be wearing her parks' Alice costume I bought last yr and we are making Bekah a custom Alice DISign shirt---I'll show a picture of the latter once we do it)

I love it!

it will be so fun to wear these items on our trip and how great they can transfer over to the everyday afterwards too.

How beautiful they all are!! I'm sorry it came to you having to file a dispute, but you know, if you're going to be late on an order, communication is always good! I'm glad she made up for it with the extras she sent. Would you consider ordering from her again?

I need to get on Esty and look around at outfits for my daughter. I looked on there for bedding ideas for Madelyn's room, but in the end I just couldn't afford the prices.

I also think I missed replying on the "Be Our Guest" night. I love that you incorporated B&B!! This is my favorite movie! Naomi-Ruth looks like she was chowing down on that special cake!
