I'm Ordering a big BLT for Thanksgiving 2010 NEW 12/3 started TR! see link

I know it is crazy GAD program has ended before the end of March! :( I hope you hear back--maybe there is still a spark of hope?

Bummer on the GAD thing not working out. It filled so quickly! I know when I delivered my blankets to the local person she was overwhelmed with the response. You literally could not see any furniture or even the floor of her living room except for a small path. She had 1,000's of blankets. I wonder if Disney expected such a response and what they'll do now for the rest of the year.

I think you'll end up ahead by going with the DDP especially since you're doing HDDR and the CLP pkg, those are budget busters! It's also probably going to be a 'holiday surcharge' timeframe and you won't have to worry about that.

Enjoy the wedding!!

:headache: Bummer about the GAD program ending!!!

I was holding out hope that maybe you'd gotten an email but were too busy with wedding stuff to post or email... Bummer... that's all I can say... Bummer! :sad2:

I hope the park hours cooperate with your planning. :goodvibes

Aww, sorry about the GAD ending.

But, as the saying goes, "When God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window!"

Your window will open soon, I'm sure!

I felt good w/ spending the extra $200 when we were saving $200+ w/ GAD...but now I just don't know and it's so hard to come up w/ a good itinerary till the entertianment schedule is posted.

Have you looked at last year's schedule just to get a feel for what they may do??
It's so hard, even when the schedule is posted three months out, because Disney tends to add-on shows and parades at the last minute on busy holiday weeks!

Kathy

I hope everything goes well with the wedding this weekend! Have Fun!!

I know it is crazy GAD program has ended before the end of March! :( I hope you hear back--maybe there is still a spark of hope?

thanks for all the sad bummers and sharing in my bummer missed out on the big GAD...I love volunterring and we do all the time...but the perk of a free Disney Day...welll I guess i should have know. I agree w/ irishdancer people seemed overwhelmed by the response and don't even want to sign up new volunteers regardless

I never did hear anything no even a sorry all full response on the blankets...it's ok...moving on

Kathy I have looked a little at last yrs schedule...have not thought much about Disney in the last week or so...crazy, huh? I think my best bet is to just hold out till May and work on two plans a possible no hopping and 1 w/ hopping then just way the options later. Since I am buying UT I can wait till even closer to Nov to make a final decision just need to get those ADR's in...I don't like to make to many and then go back and cancel, too confusing for me.

irishdancer...i wouldn't do the HDDR or CLP pkg if we weren't doing DDP...but just the 3 places we WANT to eat at seem to make the most sense to not pay OOP...

Wedding Post coming soon...but first see below:

Tour plan help...

How does this sound?

My Mom, Dad, his sister and brother all in the 50-60 age range will be going to Ecpot for 1 day on Saturday 3-27.

According to touring plans it is the best park choice :thumbsup2

How does this tour plan sound? :confused3

Please respond ASAP, as I need to give my Mom the plan tomorrow morning they leave for Atlanta/FL on Wed.

Expected Arrival from Ft. Myers FL at park opening 9:00 am

1) arrival...if arrive before park opening or shortly after take a moment to view the grandkids LAL tiles

2) See Soarin if standby is 20+ minutes, FP it and come back later

3) LwtLand (my dad and his BIL are gardeners)

4) Seas/Turtle Talk

5) Spaceship Earth (I do not think my Aunt/Uncle have ever been here or at least not in a very long time)

6) Either Test Track or green side of Mission Space-possible FP and have lunch and go back

7) lunch before 12 pm at either Sunshine Seasons or Electric Umbrella

8) Head into WS-start w/ Canada and O Canada Film and special Garden Festival exhibit

9) UK pav

10) See movie in France

11) ADR at Teppan Edo at 4:30 pm (arrive at 4:15) and also leave time to view pav.

12) See American Adventure

13) view other pav. based on time/energy

14) see Illuminations at 9:00 pm get spot up to 1 1/2 hrs in advance

so :confused3

good, not too much?

thanks

J~

Looks fine to me-I'd do it with my mom or godmother. My one thing would be "O Canada-" I personally don't find the Circlevision films worth the engergy expended standing.

It looks like a good plan to me. Not too packed but you hit the big stuff. :thumbsup2

I hope you have time to hit a few more countries in the WS. That's my favorite part of Epcot!

Looks good to me too. A good mix of FW and WS.

Sure they don't need you to come down to be their tour guide. ;)

3) LwtLand (my dad and his BIL are gardeners)

4) Seas/Turtle Talk What time is the first Turtle Talk show? Need to be careful they don't get there too early

5) Spaceship Earth (I do not think my Aunt/Uncle have ever been here or at least not in a very long time) I would suggest SE as a whenever they pass by and the line is only in the straight part of the que (walk-on) SE lines seems to ebb and flow these days

6) Either Test Track or green side of Mission Space-possible FP and have lunch and go back

7) lunch before 12 pm at either Sunshine Seasons or Electric Umbrella I personally wouldn't recommend EU with all the great CS place in WS---and I would only recommend SS IF they were going to the Land pav for their Soarin' FP.....3 trips into that thing is probably too much in one morning.

8) Head into WS-start w/ Canada and O Canada Film and special Garden Festival exhibit
I loved the new O Canada film....I'm making DH see it the next time he goes

9) UK pav

10) See movie in France

11) ADR at Teppan Edo at 4:30 pm (arrive at 4:15) and also leave time to view pav.

What are the crowd levels for that day? 1 1/2 hours to wait for Illum. seems like 45 minutes too long.

so :confused3

good, not too much?

thanks

Hope I helped a little :scared1:

I'm not a big movie fan either...but they like them...and thought fun since Olympics were just in Canada...

me too...thought they could decide what they want to really see/explore that day just listed some highlights...

Looks good to me too. A good mix of FW and WS.

Oh I'd love to fly down...;)

Looks good to me! :thumbsup2

thanks Amy...

Beautiful day here in NH too!! :goodvibes The kids look great!

Happy St. Patty's Day! You having your corn beef & cabbage tonight? :shamrock::shamrock:

Saturday the 13th...only 4 days before the biggest Irish (drinkin) party known to Man....and my brother and his beautiful bride to be were married :goodvibes

The weather was more befitting of the emerald isle or the near-by neighbor Scotland with the sideways rain and fog...but it did not dappen our spirits...

I wish I had more pictures to share by my duties of sister of the groom, child rangler, speaker, toaster and blessing giver (at rehersal dinner), bridal party coordinator, hubby helper, bag holder, cookie passer-outer...etc...the camera didn't get as much use I had hoped.

Michael commented later "that is so unlike you Mom" ;)

The ceremony was packed to the walls on all sides of the attached tent to the hotel and I had to climb around seats to get up to the poduim to say the poem, Angie my now SIL picked out.

Margaret did wonderful as 1 of the two flower girls and when she ran out of petals at the end of the aisle she bopped her Uncle Dan on the nose w/ her basket.

Aldine played her cello beautifully while accompaning my sister on the violin and Michael did a great job saying his Scripture passage...plus he did exceptionally well all night. YAY!

The sermon was a baseball twist which is so befitting of two very heavy baseball fans 1 Sox and 1 Cub...that's why I love my new sister :thumbsup2 and their vows had a hint of movie stardom with a line from Braveheart :lovestruc

the Party was great and the food was wonderful.

It was a wonderful wedding and day full of love, Irish touches and just pure joy to all be together.

I had such a wonderful time with my cousins and family...it was sad to see the night come to an end.

Here are a few pictures:

Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day to you too!! The kids looked adorable in their green-ery. Silly me I didn't even get a pic of mine yesterday, I'm not a morning person so just getting them out the door for school on-time with lunches, etc is a feat. ;)

The wedding pics are beautiful. You all looked wonderful all dressed up! It sounds like you all had a great time despite the weather.

Yes it was, the bridemaids were in green, the bride has green toe nails and lots of little shamrocks everywhere.

so the green Miller glove...that is what is on my brother's hand. One of his friends (who he has know since K) is in promotions for Miller Beer and w/ St. Pat's right around the corner from their wedding he brought these funky beer gloves on the palm side it says "I'm Chi-rish, beer me" as in I'm Chicago-Irish...so the groomsmen and several bridemaids had them on when announced in at the recption plus these green berets...I so wanted a glove...even though I am not a beer person...and I was able to get one last night. :thumbsup2
