I'm on the fence about when to ask for vacation time from work

We are going to Disney in September. Ideally I would love to go the first week of September, Labor Day week, but I'm worried free dining might not start the 1st since it seems like it gets pushed back and back each year. To be safer we could go the second week with a greater chance of free dining. What are your thoughts??? I only have a few days to decide before vacations have to be put in!

September seems to be the one consistent month that seems to get fd year after year. That doesn't mean that won't change but your chances are good. We're going Sept 2015 and will probably go the second or third week in the hopes of fd. If it were me, you have a great shot on the second week.

I agree with the pp's that I would go with the 2nd week. The chances of FD being offered from the beginning of September is probably pretty good, but like you said, Disney keeps scaling back on the dates, so I'd go with the later dates just to be safe. Good luck.

I almost wonder if they don't start free dining on the Tuesday after Labor Day weekend. seems like The free dining windows narrow more every year.

I'm leaning toward the second week...although I'd REALLY like the first week! Ha! I'm just thinking one less school day missed and one less vacation day used. *sigh* Oh well!! I'm still going to Disney!!!!
