I'm not sure how to do this

We leave for Disney in 10 days. DD10 does not even know about it at all. I was hoping to keep it that way until the morning of. But her dad (who doesn't live with us)will need to give her a couple Christmas gifts before we go, such as her MP3 player and her Disney gift card. So, just not sure at this point. I know if I wanted to keep it secret until the morning of, I would have to enlist the help of her teacher. Maybe I will just tell her a few days before (monday) and have her dad give her her stuff on Sunday. Any ideas? Thanks

Is it possible for her Dad to see her the morning that you leave? Or, could he give you the gifts and put them into a carry on for her?

Even though our flight doesn't leave until 9:00 a.m. or so since we have to be there about 2 hours before, I know he won't be seeing her the morning of. I may try to get him to do something after school the day before or just bring them like posted. Thanks.

Could he maybe surprise her by showing up at the airport and giving her her gifts there? That would allow you to keep it a secret longer.

How about telling her the afternoon/evening before? Invite her dad for a fun Disney inspired meal, let her open her gifts and surprise her with the trip. I bet he would enjoy seeing her so excited and happy. Not to mention, think of the happy dreams she would have falling asleep dreaming of the trip. Being the planner that I am...surprising someone the morning of seems almost...I dont know...my girls would rather have time to be excited, talk abotu it nonstop, plan etc.

Well, I talked to her dad about giving a couple of them to her before, and without mentioning the trip. He said maybe he will just tell her that HE is going away and wants to give her a couple things before he goes. So this way the big surprise isn't ruined since he will be doing that a few days ahead.
