I am so happy that you made the move! Also, kudos to you for the air mattress. Every time we are in the hospital we are in the isolation room in the ICU so there is only room for the chair and the machines! Our hospital has a parent sleep room though. As hard as it is to leave him, sometimes everyone just needs a break! I hope you guys have a great Easter! Piper is in our prayers!!!

Just a short update..we're at Kluge and the difference is amazing, her room is huge with tons of storage, and she's at school right now..for the first of TWO sessions she'll have today. She'll go back this afternoon for another round. She's also scheduled for a recreational therapy session this afternoon, and an Easter Egg hunt! I'm going to have to so much free time I won't know what to do with myself! :lol: She's loving it, as am I so far. She's able to go out and about anytime she likes, walk the halls, or go outside..she also goes to the cafeteria and picks out her own meals and can eat there or back in the room! Can you tell I'm excited? We're going from way tooo much free time, to none at all, and I'm looking at that as a very positive thing!

Hurray! Sorry I haven't checked in on you guys in a while!! Geez.... shame on me!

Great on the move and the better sleeping arrangements! And even better- an easter egg hunt!!!!!!!!!!!! We are going to one tomorrow too! I put up picks on our TR if you wanna see Davy's first egg hunt! It was a hoot!
Aleks had a blast too and said to tell Piper hi and stuff. She has been a busy kiddo- she finally has a friend in our neighborhood she can play with! That's why she hasn't sent Piper any e-mails.... I dunno if she can get her e-mail now anyway can she? I told Aleks I would ask. She didn't want Piper to think she had forgotten her.

I LOVE it!!! I tell my kids they Piddly poo around. I will have to use that one now- piddle fart.... I often piddle fart around on the net as well. Should we start a support group for piddle farters anonymous?

Growing up in the mid west and having family from the south...Lord only knows how I aquired this in my vernacular. I'm sure I have looooots more where this comes from.

I got a call from Amanda this evening, she says things are sooooo much better where she is, of course y'all know this by now.

She kept telling of all the great things happening for Piper and how happy Piper is, so is Amanda for that matter. She said the building is pretty old, they don't even have central air. Each room has a window unit for air conditioning, but Amanda could care less since it's a 100 times better than the last place. After Piper's bath they went down to the cafeteria and had dinner together.....out of the room!

She said they have so much for the kids to do and they treat the kiddos with a lot of special treatment, she'll get an Easter basket from the hospital and they already had an Easter egg hunt...that didn't have anything in them! Amanda said Piper made the news talking about egg hunting! We have a Super Star in our midst! I think she said CBS 19 was the local station, I wonder if we can find the spot on the web??

I'm so happy for my friend. If she had to stay in the hospital...this is the place they should be.

That's funny - I use that term too, and my mom would NEVER have said the word fart - so I don't know where I got it.
