ha, that was very funny, Rosie!!! But sadly, it may or may NOT make it here. Apparently we are missing a Christmas Box still!! It was sent BEFORE Christmas!!!!!!

Maroo - I plan to still be volunteering and "lurking" in November. I would love to meet you. Let me know your schedule we the time comes up and perhaps I can arrange to do a shift and meet you. By the way, in my post about cheap times for visiting Disney - I made a mistake - I should have said late September and October. Rates go down after schools open in the northeast. My info comes from "on the job" training. I like variety and have worked a lot of different areas. I worked the security gate in the front one morning and learned about the visitor rules. I have lived in Orlando since 1995 and currently live a couple of miles from Universal so much of my knowledge is by osmosis. I love volunteering and the highlights of my week are the days I am at GKTW. The families are fantastic and the kids truly amazing. I try to make them laugh, but the reality is - they make me laugh - like the little girl who told me her grandfather was going to build her a carousel when she got home! It was as much a surprise to him as to me!

*Insert exasperated sigh here* Okay, so I just heard from Lauren, and KCRC is NOT going to have an open bed until next week. Apparently an actual rehab patient is being transferred there to the open bed. So where does that leave us? Back on the 7th floor..land of never leaving your room At any rate..we WILL be headed there this afternoon, and I'm going to pm the new addy to everyone who requested the KCRC one. Sorry for all the hassle..I can't say I'm a happy camper right now, but I'll get over it! :
