I'm Not As Tink As You Kronk I Am - Final Thoughts on Mustard's January Trip to WDW

I love your DMIL's face on her turn with the ride with the dolphin. You can really see her excitement. And the family shots are fantastic too.

Looks like y'all had one amazing day!! I really loved the underwater pictures too. what a great idea to take a water proof camera.

I can't believe the next update is the last day at WDW. What ever did y'all decide to do? I can't wait to see

Mustard...what great pix!!!!!!

the dolphin encounter looks great!!!!

the aviary looks great too.

I wonder if WDW will ever do something similar to this at AK.....

great update and pics.

That really looks like so much fun. thanks for sharing the pics with us.

last day at WDW. :scared1:

Much appreciated Scott and you're welcome :) Yeah, one last day left to tell about and then my TR will be all wrapped up ...then what do I do  lol

The interaction with the dolphins looks super cool!! You got some great shots on the dolphin rides! The dolphin even looks like she's smiling :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

It was a great interaction, but I can't take credit for those pics ...they were all shot by the resort photographers. They were great pics though. And yes, Jenny was a very happy dolphin :-]

Yes, she really enjoyed that - it was a dream come true for her and my mom both. It was pretty amazing and would be something I'd like to repeat sometime down the road.

Yes, I have to thank DW for remembering to bring the underwater cameras :thumbsup2

Yeah, it's been quite the journey through these days - I can't believe it is coming to an end either. It has been lots of fun reliving the adventures as I looked through the pictures and my notes and put it all together as a story.

I guess it just means I have to start planning our next adventure :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Well as I said above I can't take credit for the dolphin stuff, but it was a blast! If you get the chance you should go :thumbsup2

That would be cool wouldn't it? Some extension of AK with the same level of interaction ...and pampering. The free beer was very key :lmao:

I'm caught up on your TR now, too. I think Scott's is the only one I have left. :headache: :headache: :headache:

Discovery Cove looks like a lot of fun. It kind of freaks me out to be in the water with fish, though (yes, I'm afraid of them, too). I just think humans have too many orifices that fish could possibly swim into. Could you imagine a fish laying eggs in your ear?? This is the kind of stuff I think about. I'm a freak, I know.:rotfl:

After looking at those pictures, I have decided that your older daughter looks exactly like your wife, and your 8 year old looks just like you.:thumbsup2

plan another trip.

:lmao:

:lmao: Yeah, tell me about it :thumbsup2

Like my fear of cows??:scared:

Well in the case of the cows you at least have movies to back you up - one of DD8s favorites is "The Little Vampire", which has vampire cows in it :scared1: :rotfl2:

Well Scott's is a whole different level - just gotta roll with it and hope to stay with the last dozen pages or so :rotfl2:

Discovery cove was very cool, and if you're wary of the fishies, you can just hang out on the tropical river part and enjoy the food and drinks - the non-dolphin swim package is $100 cheaper.

And luckily all of these fish are much too big to fit in any nooks or crannies - more likely they'd just want to nibble your toes ;)

You're not the first person to say that, especially about DD11 looking like DW ...hehehe. Mostly people say they both look like DW.

Thanks for stoppin' by and hope you're having a good weekend :woohoo:

Sorry it's taking me so long to catch up. I'm reading again and really enjoying all your pictures!

:lmao: she slept in the tub??! The whole time?? :rotfl2:
I love that!

And what a first day! So glad your kids didn't realize your frustrations. And you still managed to get some great video of the parade! Those stills were better than ANY pictures I've ever gotten at Spectro!

I'm enjoying this...back to reading for me!

Oh, and last weekend we picked up a playmate for our CockaPoo Caesar. Her name is Cleopatra (Cleo for short) and she's a 2 1/2 month old Teacup/Toy Poodle mix

...and she's ferocious!

She's SO cute! As is your other dog, Caesar, is it? He looks like the dog on the Caesar dog food commercial. :cutie:

I was gonna ask you who that woman was on the coaster with you, cause I know it wasn't your wife. Then it hit me, DUH, its mumsey.:lmao:

I would have loved that Jack Hanna show. I like snakes, lions, tigers, stuff like that. Mostly since my step brother used to have a python and my dad used to own a lion. You got some really good pictures there.

Looks like y'all had a blast at Sea World.:goodvibes

a lion??? a cub or grown?

Yes. Her name was Shiloh. Somebody poisoned her and she kicked the bucket.

aww..how sad!

Hey All! I know I've been really hit and miss lately here and have hinted about work stuff as the reason. Well things have finally come together and I am officially on my last day as a Network Administrator for the college I work for.

Starting on Monday I will be the Director of Network and Help Desk Services. Yup, I'm crossing over to the "dark side" and will be management. It means a raise and some better benefits, along with a cool title. The downside is that I'm no longer part of the union that I've been a part of for a dozen years (I had to resign as union VP today) and I will of course have more responsibilities.

So I'll continue to be kinda busy but certainly don't want to give up the Dis! Thank you for all of you who have stuck around to follow my continuing adventures :thumbsup2 :)

Congratulations! I know I'm late on this but I hope that you are enjoying your new position!

The pictures at SW are awesome! I haven't been there since I was a kid, but you are making me want to go back!

I didn't realize they had a dog show. They should call it Animal World instead of Sea World :confused3
:rotfl:

Okay, so I have reading off and on (between dealing with my pictures on my new hard drive) and I can't believe I managed to hold in all my comments til now. Since there are SO many pictures in each update, I didn't quote anything, so there's probably a lot of things I said outloud to myself that I will forget. So I'll try to remember what I wanted to say, and if anything pops in my head later on, I'll just come back for random posts :thumbsup2

With that said, I did quote a few small things, so I'll make all my comments on these first

:rotfl:

wow, thrill rides for 3 hours straight? I don't think I could do that. Go Bean:thumbsup2

Great pictures of the stunt show btw. I yet again feel like I'm there.

I could!!! Mustard I think it's GREAT that you and Bean rode ToT & RnR for so long!! :thumbsup2

another group of great pics.

I have to find that umbrella next time.

me too!

Good Lord! I think you win the prize for the most picture filled trip report!

::yes::

well if I ever want to off Biff I know where to take him, he is deathly afraid of birds. :rotfl2:

great pics.

the deer was so cute.

I surely hope you meant to say "tick off" and not off, as in "auf" meaning kill. :rotfl:

I'm caught up on your TR now, too. I think Scott's is the only one I have left. :headache: :headache: :headache:

:lmao: I never thought about that, but I agree with Mustard that those fish seemed a little large to swim into any orifices. Nice use of an under-rated word by the way :thumbsup2

I agree with the family look-a-like situation.

Let's see..

I forgot to comment on your snow escapades. Being from Louisiana, I've never "snow tubed" and didn't realize such a thing existed (I mean, I didn't know there were places you could go to do something like that)

I've snow skiied(Colorado) and that is a blast, so I know I'd love snow tubing.

I think it's cool that you got to see the behind the scenes LMA stuff and have the driver wave to y'all on the backlot tour. I was hoping a LMA show would be going on during our tour last year but no luck.

I've been one of the people on the boat (not in the "room") and my Grandpa was the one "soaked" in the room. But he got to wear a rain suit so I think he came out of it pretty dry. I, on the other hand, am so small that the coat I had was rather large and the hoodie ended up falling off of my head during my "performance" so my hair was SOAKED, and my back was a little wet. Thank God it was mid-summer (July) but it still was a little uncomfortable til I dried off(which didn't take too long)

I'm sorry your Indiana Jones viewing got cut short. That stinks :headache: I guess it's just another good reason to go back! :thumbsup2

I finally saw the well this past trip. Thanks to the UG I knew to look for it!

Shamu was SO cool! I didn't know you could "eat with him"

Discovery Cove...where is that? It looks like y'all had a total BLAST there! I love the excitement on your faces when Jenny is pulling y'all...especially your MiL. I laughed just looking at those.
And :sad2: you didn't want to kiss Jenny? Were you afraid she'd have bad breath? She looked a little sad. I think you need to pay her another visit ;) ::yes::

I think I'd like to go there one day, just not in the colder months. I'm a wimp when it comes to cold water!

I'm sure there's more I want to say but that's all for now...

I remember one thing.

How'd you get those great pictures during the live Nemo show? Is that the SLR again?

And speaking of Nemo, the picture of Nemo being "chased" that you said you didn't mean to take with the flash...did I see what I think I saw? A room behind it that we're not supposed to see?

:rotfl:

Scott did you change your ticker? What's an Ip dip?

that is my next trip after september.

that is the trip Buzz will be on and it is called the ip-dip fest or meet.

ip-dip is when u make a mistake or something so u made an ip-dip. Buzz language I think. should be fun but only 3 nights.

oh okay....very funny! I think I'd go nuts if I could only go to Disney for 3 days...I always need at least 5

Where's Mustard? Now that I'm caught up I'm ready for the next update. Mustard, I know you slowed it down for me so I could read but I'm ready.

:surfweb:

I'll be waiting :rolleyes1

I've been wondering where he went too. He's probably really busy with work. That's usually what happens when he doesn't show for a while.
