Im new to WDW HELP!!!

If your traveling on a budget I would also suggest the value resorts. We went
for the first time in May and found out some of the outside hotels with a
cheap price turn out to be just that cheap run down places.
After trying a few we ended up at value resort. If you have kids and are
thinking about doing things like breakfast with mickey then the meal plans
are good deal. You can exchange your meal points for things like
charter meals and restaurants like Cinderella's table or the Liberty
Tree. You can get free buttons in the information building and get
dollar bills with mickey's face on them for a cheap fun souvenir. I also
suggest the refillable mud its good through you stay at the resort. If you
have a little girl I would suggest the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It a little
costly to do the whole experience but its worth every penny.

I'm also in the same boat. DH and I decided to go to WDW 2 weeks ago leaving Dec 4. We were able to get ADR's for 8 PM at the earliest. I'm overwhelmed at the amount of information/opinions out there, too. I think we'll just plan what parks to go to what days and leave the rest to whim. I'll look at the weather forecast the day before we leave to figure out what to pack. I'm stressing some over getting the Christmas decorations up in our home before we leave - we always have them up before our wedding anniversary - Dec 6.

Thanks for the allears website - I've never seen that before and the information looks good!

I would buy the Unofficial Guide to WDW, it has a lot of tips and tricks and tells you a lot of info about the parks. I would also recommend going to allears.net. If you don't want much of a commute to the parks, I would recommend staying at the Polynesian. The Poly is a beautiful resort and very relaxing. Since the Poly is located right beside the Magic Kingdom, it is in a perfect location. You can ride the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and the Poly is right beside the Transportation and Ticket Center. If you stay at the Poly, then you can walk to the TTC and take the monorail to Epcot or take a ferry boat to the Magic Kingdom. There is also a bus stop right in front of the Poly, so you can go to Disney's Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom.

i would stay in a wdw resort , if you stay off site the transportation to the parks are limmited to how the hotel dos it or you have to drive to the parks and pay $15 to park , and when in a wdw resort you can have the stuf you buy at the parks sent back to your room (for free )insted of carrying it around all day
