I'm new - can somebody fill me on your lingo??

I'm new to this site (so happy to find it) and have no idea what all your short forms are. Can someone fill me on what SM, EM, AP and all those other things are? We're just in the beggining stages of this whole thing!

I have the same problem with all the abbreviations too!! I was over on the restaurant board and everyone uses abbreviations when they talk about the restaurants and I have no CLUE what they are talking about!!! I feel very lost!!!

Thanks everyone! I'll keep you posted. Did anyone else have a really hard time deciding between the Intim. and Custom?? Our numbers are becoming an issue - a little too big for intimate but too small to be worth the cost of custom! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also I've yet to make offical contact with my EM or SM but I'm playing phone tag with someone named 'Juliana'.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We were on the "old" Intimate plan, limit of 13 guests max, but you had to pay extra (I think $100/person) for any over 8 guests. I totally used that to my advantage! We wanted the people we love most and didn't want to feel like we had to have the obligation of inviting extra family members or friends who we don't hang out much with anymore, etc. It was like "oh, cousin so-and-so, sorry you can't come, Disney limits us to 8 guests" and "sorry, friend-I-never-see-anymore you can't come, the Disney limit y'know" Is that mean? If we had a traditional church and dinner/dance reception wedding then we would have had 150 people once our parents got a hold of the guest list, but that was NOT what we wanted.

I just think your wedding should be exactly what you want.
If that's a large Intimate or a small Custom, do what your heart desires
