And the wedding was everything I hoped it would be! The best part is that our families got along amazingly well, despite our differences in culture. I am so proud to be a part of this beautiful Indian-American family.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it great when the families get along? When my wife and I got married we were wondering the samething, "will the families get along?" They did, it was only my little brother that my in-laws think is strange...well, he is, but don't tell him. Oh well, can't win them all.

Very nice! Congrats! Did you have 2 ceremonies? A few people I know had them- a traditional Indian one where they wore traditional dress and then a "Western" one where they wore dresses and tuxes.

Thanks everyone! We had a civil service so it was short and sweet. We did have Indian food at the wedding. I love it too so this works out quite well! After the wedding reception was over his mother did the traditional welcoming ceremony for me.

The night before the wedding we had a party at our house. I wore an Indian outfit from his family (they took me shopping several months ago which deserves a post of its own!) and he wore a cowboy shirt ala Banana Republic. he he. I'll have to post a pic of that. I learned how to dance to Indian music that night!
