I have an idea. For everyone who loves Disney, but HATES Stitch's Great Escape, let's sign a petition to have it removed from the premises. Disney owes it to us to put something really great there. Tomorrow Land is too fantastic to host this horrible attraction.

Come on Disney we know you have it in you to do great attractions, think on the lines of Soarin or Mickey's Philarmagic and give us something we can feel happy about. I for one loved the movie Stich, but come on that attraction is just bad, no matter how you slice the chilidog. It's just bad and boring.

So who's with me on signing a peition to remove this atrocity from tomorrowland. If they let me I will personally go and dismantle this piece of garbage myself.

Sorry, but I like Stitch Encounter - but I hate RnR, maybe you'd get rid of that for me? Or how about the Princess show at Cinderella's Castle? My oldest daughter makes vomit sounds when she catches a glimpse of it...

I agree it is wouthout a doubt the poorest 'attraction' in the MK (but I blame Eisner's bean counters for it, as they didn't permit WDI to produce what they wanted to).

I think you can try a petition, but seriously, an old-fashion letter writting campaign would proably carry more creditability.

While my DH and I do not really care for it, our children, DD7 & DS6, enjoy it. It went over much better this year than last.

The best way of communicating this to Disney is through our actions, either attending the attraction or not. Actions speak much much louder than words.

We attended it once last week, just to see what it was all about and HATED it. Loved AE, and really miss it. Disney does appear to respond to e-mails, they had ended free dining and I wrote (several others did too, I'm sure) and very politely inquired if it might be returning. They replied that it was under conderation and to watch my local papers. Never did see it in the papers, but it sure turned up on Mousesavers, and was the reason we were able to make our last trip.
I'd join you in your petition, letter-writing campaign, or whatever you choose to do.

Count me in! We went in March and thought that it must be an awesome ride because the line was 90 minutes long and all the FP were gone. So, we made a point that we went directly to Stitch first thing on our next day at MK and walked right on. We were all SO GLAD that we didn't wait in a 90 minute long line for what we experienced :confused3 ! We're going again in November and will definitely be skipping it.

If you don't like the attraction, why not just pass it by? There are many people who like it. My friends son absolutely loves it. I personally don't like roller coasters, but I'd never think of asking them to be removed for something else. Live and let live, people!

I wish they'd replace it was something else. That's really prime real estate. I think the unofficial guide has the best description -- Alien Adventure was not what they'd hopped, and they're rather stubbornly hanging on. My guess -- you'll get your wish eventually.

Interesting fact about Disney -- they don't accept petitions. (I know you're just kidding about a petition anyway, but it's an interesting factoid.) The legal department returns them -- they are worried that if they accept them and then do something recommended in a petition (or any other suggestion for that matter), the person who suggested it will later sue and claim to have had their intellectual property stolen. This actually happens to disney. So your petition, I'm afraid, would fall on deaf ears.

I think I have this one figured out. By posting that the ride needs to be removed you get others, such as myself, curious as to how bad the ride really is. (Kinda like just how bad is the Beverly at Ice Station Cool) Now I will have to try the ride just to see for myself whereas before I would have skipped it due to lack of interest. As more people ride it just to see Disney will look at it as a great success, 90 minute wait times with all fast passes taken. That will assure they build more rides just like this one.

On a serious note I think you have to remember that every attraction will not appeal to every visitor. If it truly is that bad the wait time will diminish, the number of visitors will decrease and Disney will fix the problem.

I agree. When we went in July and I think Stich had the longest line. We thought it had to be great. Boy were we dissappointed. My wife, three kids and myself hated it. While I would like to see something else there, it's no big deal to me if they keep it, we won't waste our time there again. There are plenty of other things to do while there.

It is the worst ride I have ever been on. I agree that the best thing to do is just avoid it, but I'll sign whatever you put together. Isn't it disturbing how long you actually smell that chili dog????????

I haven't been on it yet. I will next week though...WOOHOO!!! If I don't like, I'll sign when I get back. :goodvibes

The thing that I cannot understand is why the designers of the ride thought anyone would enjoy experiencing that smell.

I would like to get Disney to Open closed attractions instead of closing anything else...

I would love to see Timekeeper, Carousel of Progress and The Horizon's building reopen with either their old attraction or a new one. (Carousel has got to stay the same though.)

Get a new sponsor for "Life" Pavillion at Epcot, Put something in all the empty buildings, bring back a stage show to where the Huntchback show was or build a new Theatre for a new show at MGM...DO SOMETHING at INNOVENTIONS...It's needs a redo.

I did not like or hate Stitch...but some people hated AE and some liked it...To each their own. I would not be caught dead at Tarzan DOES NOT rock...but some people like it.

I would prefer we write a letter to Disney for them to stay open longer, bring back Tapestry of Nations Parade, add more countries to Epcot's World Showcase, change the Canada Movie (it's sooooo outdated) and open empty buildings by adding new shows and rides.

Disney IS NOT going to close an attraction it just spent lots of $$$$$$$$$ on just to please a few people who write letters. If they get no-one through the door, that will get them to change things.

Please, let's focus on adding not taking away...

Well, our family likes Stitch and we don't think the ride is that bad. There are others we aren't crazy about but I certainly wouldn't spend time trying to get them closed. Why don't you just avoid it??? :confused3

Thanks for the warning. We are headed down there in 10 days, and will definitely avoid Stitch.
